YOU ARE ALL WRONG.NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.
THEY ARE ANNOUNCING POKEMON SNAP 2.
YOU ARE ALL WRONG.
THEY ARE ANNOUNCING POKEMON SNAP 2.
YOU ARE ALL WRONG.
THEY ARE ANNOUNCING POKEMON SNAP 2.
...
Is Pokemon Snap really THAT good? (I never played it, sorry)
YOU ARE ALL WRONG.
THEY ARE ANNOUNCING POKEMON SNAP 2.
Either a Gold/Silver DS remake or a fully fledged Wii Pokemon game combining all the regions would be good, thanx! So that would mean we have to get 24 gym badges, deal with 25 gym leaders, beat 18 or so eilte four members, kick the asses of 6 rivals, mop the floor with over 500 weak trainers, defeat 4 evil organizations, save the world like 2 times, catch 493 or more pokemon, pulverize 600 Magikarps, and maim 200 pikachus! O^O
I can confirm to you all that this announcement is indeed a Gold and Silver remake as I JUST heard news of it from my buddy in Treehouse who has known for a while and while I knew (and actually told through PM a few people on GAF) I feel as though now is as good of a time as any to let everyone know.
Release is Late 2009 Japan release, Spring 2010 America.
Also, expect an announcement soon after E3 of a new Wii based Pokemon game compatible with these new games as well as Platinum.
"Hey You! Eevee" or nothing...!
But I'm still excited~ >U<
I'd also love a Pokemon Stadium 3. :3
Oh god, remake of Gold & Silver! Oh Johto, I missed you so much~
Let's hope we can collect 16 badges and meet Red again. ^^
I think they should add the ability to catch Celebi, just like I was able to do legally on the Japanese Crystal. :3
I think they should add the ability to catch Celebi, just like I was able to do legally on the Japanese Crystal. :3
From GAF:
The games could most likely be Gold and Silver remakes, because the Johto location data is in DP's coding, as seen from these hacked pokemon.

PB, i agree with everything you said, save for the last one. but that's because i have much hate for 2-on-2 battles.
also, your second note might not be necessary. i really want to see GSC get this treatment.
@Acid - That and actual terrain influenced battles. I wanna tell my Pikachu to jump a Rhydon after climbing up a hill and hit it's drill too dammit. XD
PB - What you suggested would be labeled a Class 1 terrorist weapon, just because civilization & Japan would end as we knew them. XD
-You choose your starter Pokemon out of all except Legendaries (I mean, I'm only picking Cyndaquil anyway, but I figure others want different choices)Wait you mean we can choose anything besides Legendaries and evolve forms right?
You should add that if you start off with Pikachu (Or any other small Pokemon like it), you get the opition of it following you around like in Yellow. You know I wonder how much harder it would be to find a Light Ball. Oh well it doesn't matter.
You should add that if you start off with Pikachu (Or any other small Pokemon like it), you get the opition of it following you around like in Yellow.
See, I always had a problem with such a thing.Yeah I would love to have my Absol follow me around.
Why should it only be the "small and cute" Pokes that get such a privelege?
I mean, if I want to have any one of my usual pimps outside and following me around (Machamp, the Totodile family, the Charmander family, etc.), why shouldn't I be allowed to?
If nothing else, it would be cool to see these guys actually do more to use the likes of Strength, Cut, Surf and etc, while they're on the overworld with me. And those who could fly could trail behind me while I ride a bike! 0v0
Ben, you got a point.
I just figured the whole "Small Pokemon only" would be a nice throw back to Pokemon Yellow and seems like something that would actually be done.
I agree that having any Pokemon follow you around is nice, but having a Wailord try to follow you on land is a bit much.
Just think that, but with him possibly using Flamethrower on my face, for funny hijinx and such! 8D
Remember, the Johto anime opening was singing the words "Golden Sun" and "Silver Moon".
And later changed it to "Golden Smile" and "Silver Tears".
Think about that~ 8D
I just remembered what my favorite/one of my favorite things about GSC. A mystery gift that you could actually use and that didn't require you to go to a Nintendo event *gasp*
That's why we have the Nintendo WFC.
You know, now I feel dumb.*facepalms* How the crap did I miss that?!
I've been using Pokesav for a while now, and I should have been able to pick up the fact that Jhoto was listed under the "Home" option when making a Pokemon.
The one thing I'm just hoping for is that they redeem the loss of Pokemon Tower, albeit with a Poltergeist-esque scenario at the Radio Tower.
If they go through with this they need to fix what they got wrong before.
Long live Fighting Dojo, beatches!
If not revive the tower, tuck a new yet-insignificant haunting somewhere, like how the Old Chateau was in DP.
Insignificant, yet it was great. It actually spooked me at night, alone, I'm easy to scare >_> Something like that would be awesome.
Nothing will ever beat the original Lavander Town though, that town scared you from the very moment you set foot on it with its music. I think it may have traumatized me as a child.
Yeah, actually, the Burnt Tower was the PERFECT location for a new haunted place. Too bad they wasted their chance =/
The tourneyfags already think that way.
That reminds me, what is RPM's Pokecommunity like online?
Then what the hell are tiers for?"You can only use certain pokemon in certain levels. If you don't then I won't play with you cause you're a stupid doo-doo head."
That reminds me, what is RPM's Pokecommunity like online?
"You can only use certain pokemon in certain levels. If you don't then I won't play with you cause you're a stupid doo-doo head."
That in a nutshell.
Hypershell seems competent, I'm not, those other two guys I had matches with weren't either (Sorry guys!). I've got no clue about anyone else."Well, we're going great, got a good winning season, but I see I haven't played everyone on the bench. I'll just bench some of my better players to give the others that aren't so good a turn in the field! What could go wrong?"
Setting up specific banlists just so pokemon that normally wouldn't be used have a chance to see the light of day seems like it's trying to encourage varied pokemon use to me, dude.
And what do you expect when you send out Darkrai against a standard team? You expect people to hang around when you've just sent out something which is pretty much guaranteed to cripple or kill their half their guys before they can stop it? Try using pokemon that people can actually fight back against and maybe they'll hang around longer.Okay , first of all this is just pokemon , and second of all its a game. So I actually dont run from cheaters and better-then-average pokemon. I mean really , Isnt it better to have fought and loss then to be a whimp and run? Also its good to use strong pokemon , it does mean your a smart enough trainer to level up one.
I kind of don't get why everyone's going "ZOMG GS REMAKES!!!!111lol1!". I mean, sure, we may actually be able to legally obtain Celebi, but at this point, I don't think a lot of people care. I'd only be hyped if they're remaking it once the 5th gen comes up, and they put 5th gen Pokemon in it. THAT seems worth it.
I agree with you, but do you honestly want 600+ Pokemon?
I WANNA GO TO VIRIDIAN CIIIIIIIITTTTYYYYYY!
1000 Pokemon... And I remember when I was hot [parasitic bomb] because I memorized the Pokerap in 4th grade. XDThe Pokerap? Oh man, I remember I actually memorized that once XD
Yes! I want 1000+ Pokemon, if possible. KEEP 'EM COMING!
Pokerap
CHARMELEON, WARTORTLE! 8U
Silver FTW.
Silver FTW.
MEWTWO, TENTACRUEL, AERODACTYL! OMANYTE, SLOWBRO, PIDGEOT, ARBOK...
I don't care if they make three thousand pokemon, they better give Dunsparce an evolution. The poor thing's pretty much been crap since GSC. Farfetch'd could also use a good smack with the ol' Darwinian stick.
And stop giving Evee evolutions, it has enough already (Fire, Dark, Psychic, Water, Elec, Grass, Ice). o.o;
Lapras
PB: And then the God Eevee with all elements and that schools the crap out of Arceus?
MEWTWO, TENTACRUEL, AERODACTYL! OMANYTE, SLOWBRO, PIDGEOT, ARBOK...
That's all folks!
Damn, I'm a nerd. XD
I mean really , Isnt it better to have fought and loss then to be a whimp and run?
No EV training going on here, so I'm sure someone who cares enough to do that garbage can easily dispatch my team... but oh my, how would they ever know if they're too cowardly and throw red flags because I don't play by their rules?
What's wrong with more legendaries, by the way? I can't really see a problem with adding more. I guess it is annoying to have to keep resetting if you want one with good IVs, but that's mostly just a problem with IVs being bullshit.
Oh, you think the creators of Pokemon can't come up with more of the things?
Looking at your list, for example, I notice we've got two moon pokemon (Darkrai is totally moon based), but no sun one.
I don't doubt it, it's just that it's gotten ridiculous. Besides, every gen they keep making even more powerful legendaries (I'm not talking stat wise), and they already reached God. What can they do that surpasses a god?
I agree especially with the God part where the Pokemon are so powerful, they can probably create their own planet
More starters and legendaries creates more movies~
Lucario
I loved that movie. ^^
It's also made sure that Lucario got into Brawl. =D
The one thing I'm just hoping for is that they redeem the loss of Pokemon Tower, albeit with a Poltergeist-esque scenario at the Radio Tower.

Eevee should have EVERY possible Evolution. EVERY ONE! Steeleon, Poiseon, Buzzeon, Spectreon, Puncheon, Draceon, Cloudeon, Buzzeon, Sandeon, and Graveon!
That was me! 8DGood for you! 8D
What about the ??? type?To make the set complete, yes.
I chose Charmander in Gen I, Cyndaquil in Gen II, Didn't play Gen III aside from Leaf Green/Fire Red, in which case I chose Charmander, and in Gen IV, I chose Chimchar thinking he'd be pretty good, but ended up failing so hardcore, and I ended up choosing the leafy one in Platinum, which my memory is failing right now, so I can't remember his name...
BUT FOR SO LONG I HAD PICKED THE FIRE!
I am loyal to the fire unless it sucks monkey balls.

Chimchar failing? The hell is wrong with you? He can take out rock, steel dark and normal types with ease (Close Combat <3.) Blaziken is a weaker fire type aside from Sky Uppercut and I guess Blaze Kick.He failed me around every corner, so I traded 'em in for something else.
Yes, it’s official now! We thought we would have to wait until Sunday for the Pokemon Sunday reveal, but that’s not the case! Both Yahoo! Japan and the official Japanese Pokemon hub site have confirmed the news. Both remakes are due to hit Japan sometime this fall.
Just a heads up:It's official (http://gonintendo.com/?p=81780)
Cyndaquil FTW! <3
Also, Soul Silver, hell yeah. 8U
Red battle remix better be [tornado fang]ing epic and INTENSE! 8U
I'm so [tornado fang]ing happy right now, I'm getting both!
I'll probably do the same. I mean... it's Pokémon Gold and Silver, who wouldn't? >_>
Technically I won't spend a penny on either, and have both available, but play Gold, cause that's what I played back in the day.
You won't spend money on Pokémon G/S remakes? Seriously? -__-
I'm picking Gold because Gold users take nothing short of being the best. Silver users settle at second class quitters.
That's right, I went there.
Why not the Orange Islands?
In all seriousness though, I do wonder what sorts of changes we'll be seeing here. We have Battle Frontier already. Why not the Orange Islands?
YES.
Soul Silver sounds infinitely more CRUNK than "Heart Gold".
I wonder if they'll reverse the order for the English release.
"Silver Soul" and "Gold/Golden Heart" flow much better, in my opinion.
Oh, and beware all of you Cyndaquill lovers, Totodile is coming to extinguish you 8D
So it all comes down to who strikes first then :P

My Typhlosion that knows Thunder Punch will [tornado fang] you up. 8D
That won't even 2HKO unless you're insanely lucky, and Feraligatr will OHKO with Waterfall. Too bad, Typhlosion.
We learned on the 7th that "Pocket Monsters Gold and Silver," the second entry in the popular RPG series, originally released on the Gameboy system in November of 1999, will be remade for the Nintendo DS this autumn under the titles "HeartGold" and "SoulSilver." New elements will be added in this tenth anniversary return to the Johto Region.
A continuation of the original series (Pocket Monsters Red, Green, Blue, and Pikachu), Gold and Silver recorded remarkable sales of 23,000,000 copies worldwide. It introduced monsters that hadn't appeared in the gameboy games, along with various new features.
Red and Green, the first games of the Pokemon series, were remade for the Gameboy Advance in 2004 as "Fire Red and Leaf Green," making this the second set of remakes. While Red and Green had fantastic upgrades in their transition from Gameboy to Gameboy Advance, this time the games are skipping the Gameboy Advance and going directly from Gameboy to DS. So they will almost certainly have drastically upgraded graphics and sound. Details will be released on the official site shortly.
Currently in development for the Nintendo DS are the newest entries in the Pokemon series: "Pocket Monsters HeartGold and SoulSilver." Taking place in the Johto region, the games will be upgraded with all of the series' current features and will also be paced with brand new features. This year marks the tenth anniversary of "Pocket Monsters Gold and Silver's" release on the original Gameboy, so its revival is only fitting. Since its release in 1999, the game has sold over 23,000,000 copies worldwide.
You and your lies. 8D
Yeah possibly you should counter with something else.
I'm so [tornado fang]ing happy right now, I'm getting both!
You know, maybe Gold and Silver did have hauntings, and these are probably them.
Sprout Tower, because ghosts from all over Johto are said to visit it at night.
Tin Tower, because it is said to be a resting place for Pokemon.
Both of these explain the massive influx of Ghastly at night in both.
Yep, I've been wrong after all these years..
I definitely think the Crystal version will show up after this, so I'll wait patiently for that and repeat my Full Pokedex tradition.
Heart Gold and Soul Silver? :0
That's a fairly neat name I suppose.

Pokemon Sunday is now airing. If there is any new information on HeartGold or SoulSilver, it will be posted here as it is revealed.
-They just announced the two games, showing their logos.
-Banners unrolled out of the party balls, saying the release date is in Fall.
-New Sugimori art of the starters is shown.
-Nothing of consequence was revealed.
I hope that is real. :\

A lovely wind is blowing with a soothing breeze~ <3
I can't wait for my little Cyndaquil following me around all over Johto now!=D I know, right?
How can you hate Totodile? Sure, there are a zillion better Water Pokemon for battle, but the guy is too darn adorable.
You know, I hope that one day, the whole "your favorite little 'man following you" thing is expanded to more than just the starters, 'cuz I would KILL to have a Dratini follow me around. 8)
The games [G/S] are going to have new additions to the gender and breeding portions of the game. An example of these has actually already been revealed to the the public though many people don't realize what it means:
Certain Pokemon will gain new looks based on their parents and while I don't know any specifics right now, I know it's going to be very in-depth.
* Story's different
* can't catch Red Gyarados (!)
You mean the ear?
It's different.
Certain Pokemon will gain new looks
* Story's different
* can't catch Red Gyarados
* Kanto's back, can get Kanto starters
* Mewtwo's back in the same place, so are Legendary Birds (Unknown Cave and Seafoam Isle back?)
* Safari Zone returns, Cinnibar too (:()
* MORE EVENT ISLANDS. And also Celebi GS Ball event
* Online Underground and secret bases, find fossils under Cinnibar
* Somehow get Hoenn starters in Battle Frontier
Huh, at least Gardevoir would have male/female diffrences now.. and the females will actually look more feminine. :/
Huh, at least Gardevoir would have male/female diffrences now.. and the females will actually look more feminine. :/
And I have no clue where you got that idea Harruhy. :/

Speaking of gender.
If that turns out to be true, I'm gonna rage like never before.
Lake of RAAAAAAAAAAAGE
For the record, I :('d at the Cinnabar line because that means it's not a volcanic ruined mess.
It'll probably be very subtle visual differences, like how Spinda have different spots all over the place.
Speaking of gender.
So Pyre Heart will always follow me around?
.....I may have to never level him up and just raise another Cyndaquil to be Typhlosion ...
Speaking of gender. For the record, I have a female Machamp that I personally trained till Weavile came along in my Platinum. -_-
(http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj74/borockman/HAPPY_EARLY_VALENTINE_by_e1n.jpg)
I'll have to get lucky and find a shiny Magikarp then.
I feel the same way about my upcoming Wanioko/Totodile, who shall be named Laguna.... 8DSame, although if I bother to nickname mine (I usually don't), it'll probably be Little G.
Just a thought, but does anyone want the Johto Gym Leaders and Elite Four to be tougher? That's one of my complaints with GS. They were all pushovers if you ask me.
But wasn't Red alredy in the 80s? So then you want a trainer with lv100 pokes don't you? ._.

Oh, if Red gets Lv100 with this, bring some 1-hit KO'ers with you, that's one way to solve a problem (sheer cold kyogre, import if you have both Saphhire and Emerald)Only works if your Pokemon are lvl100 as well.
Oh, if Red gets Lv100 with this, bring some 1-hit KO'ers with you, that's one way to solve a problem (sheer cold kyogre, import if you have both Saphhire and Emerald)
I don't. Just on the aforementioned Lv. 1 Oddish. Stupid Oddish. Running into me. Or Magikarp. I'M TRYING TO CATCH SOMETHING USEFUL! NOT SOMETHING I NEED TO WASTE TIME ON TO BECOME USEFUL!
I just use one-hit KO moves that are only one-hit KO moves because my Pokemon are so overpowered. Plus, type match-ups help them get that way too. CHARIZARD, USE FIRE BLAST ON THAT Lv. 1 ODDISH! 1-HIT KO! Oh yeah!
Yes, I like picking on Pokemon that are way weaker than mine. Their fault for running into me whilst I am doing donuts for no readily apparent reason.
Also, Jelly. Yes. Horn Drill is one of them. Rarely use it, too few PP.
weren't there a special ability one PKMN had to change Hit of every move to 80
Ehh... Could you repeat that?
because there are only a set number of colors in the visible spectrum and they have to reuse them
-_-
Ehh... Look there! *points at a Tyranitar, and yoinks away*
(Yeah, Tyranitar has the Sand Stream ability...)
It's a shame he's useless now that Aura Sphere is available to Mewtwo.
It's a shame he's useless now that Aura Sphere is available to Mewtwo.Eh if I ever did use a Tyranitar and ever had to fight Mewtwo with it, I'd just try to kill Mewtwo before he kills me using Crunch or any Dark type move I please.
If you're gonna call a pokemon useless because it has a counter, pretty much every pokemon ever is useless.
Mewtwo's banned from standard play anyway.
Mewtwo's banned from standard play anyway. All the more reason to use him!
All the more reason to use him!
If you're gonna call a pokemon useless because it has a counter, pretty much every pokemon ever is useless.
Mewtwo's banned from standard play anyway.
Oh, okay, your first post made it seem like you thought TTar was always useless because of Mewtwo, which doesn't seem fair because Mewtwo isn't all that common. My apologies for misinterpreting you sir!
And TTar won't always die from one Aura Sphere. That sandstorm special defence bonus is pretty crazy. He just dies uh most of the time.
No Guard: The accuracy of all moves known by all Pokémon on the field raises to 100%Oh, No Guard.
it was up to 100%
Machamp can have this ability
having this ability on a 2on2 fight with a speedy PKMN that knows OHKO moves would be cruel
All the more reason to use him!
Is that a female trainer I see? (http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml) 8D

So either you need another five ubers to make a team with, or the rest of your guys are basically pointless compared to your god tier ones, and you have to hope like hell your opponent either barely has any ubers or is much worse than you are, or you're basically screwed.I just enjoy watching people go "WTF YOU CANT USE THAT IT'S BANNED" like having a Darkrai lay waste to their team by putting everyone to sleep, having Mewtwo wreck house, and Arceus that does whatever the hell it wants, Manaphy. I always have three legends on me at any given point of a mixed assortment with some others like my little Alakazam or Dunsparce (8D). Like I said, I pick pokemon I like, not "what's better according to some website on the internet."
Just leaving the overpowered pokemon at home and playing OU seems a lot more fun to me bro.
My Silver still works, and I put untold of amount of hours into that game.
The girl looks like a rapeable loli.I'm sure Japan is already on it.
D:
I loved Wooper. Quagmire as well by extension. That thing was one of the best powerhouses in the game. xD

FIRST!
-September 11th Release Date
FIRST!
It's a shame he's useless now that Aura Sphere is available to Mewtwo.Oh, the fun times we had... 8) (Hey, Mewtwo damn well deserves it after G/S killed his Special Defense)
If you're gonna call a pokemon useless because it has a counter, pretty much every pokemon ever is useless.Correction: Every MOVE SET is useless. There are a fair share of Pokemon that have no counter to all possible sets.
Mewtwo's banned from standard play anyway.
All the more reason to use him!Damn straight.
I just enjoy watching people go "WTF YOU CANT USE THAT IT'S BANNED" like having a Darkrai lay waste to their team by putting everyone to sleep, having Mewtwo wreck house, and Arceus that does whatever the hell it wants, Manaphy.
I haven't been keeping up with this, what's the latest news, sum it all up into one post, kthnx.

FIRST!
Okay well whatever. I can't really see the appeal of just sending out Darkrai and spamming A until the entire enemy team's down, but okay.Protip: Spamming A means only spamming Hypnosis, which will do nothing after the first time. Nice attempt though! 8D
Actually, it's very well possible for Tyranitar to survive an Aura Sphere, what with the Sandstream giving him an automatic Special Defense boost. Of course, even if you do, he'll be hanging on by a thread. But it does depend on a lot of stuff, and it's not as if there aren't enough Earthquakers out there to finish him off.
I'm just wondering if anyone would help me with a moveset for my Feraligtr. I pumped him up on all the attack EVs I could give him, just need to know what to do next. This could help you consider. (http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/feraligatr)

Man I missed a lot of stuff but now I have to wonder is why do the female trainers almost always gets the weird hats while the male trainers usually get either baseball caps in RGBY and GSC, that cool looking headband thing in RSE, and that weird beret thing in DPP?
Oh goodie, Arceus returns.
Man I missed a lot of stuff but now I have to wonder is why do the female trainers almost always gets the weird hats while the male trainers usually get either baseball caps in RGBY and GSC, that cool looking headband thing in RSE, and that weird beret thing in DPP?
I don't think it gets any wierder than Ruby's hat in the manga, though. It's like he's wearing a bag on his head or something, s'ridiculous. Can you show me picture if possible I never read the Ruby and Sapphire manga.
Remember how Ruby's male main looks? Here's a hint, the white in his head is NOT his hair.Oh that's Ruby, I see. I think I remember hearing that once before.
Oho, so Gold and Silver, WITH Arceus? It's not GS-related.
I'm...probably sold...maybe...
In regards to the shiny Pichu that you can download for preordering a 12th movie ticket, "Pikachu-Colored Pichu," it is now confirmed that it will activate an event when transferred from Platinum to the games. The magazine says, "It looks like having Pikachu-Colored Pichu in your party triggers an event with Notched-Ear Pichu." So the Pichu will definitely be a special one like the movie Regigigas last year, which unlocked the caverns of the other Regis in Platinum. This information also confirms that the Notched-Ear Pichu will be in the games and is not just a movie-exclusive character. Considering that the event takes place in Ilex Forest, and this is just speculation, one of the Pichu might have something to do with the GS Ball.
The Arceus section in the scans is just showing its different PokeDex entries in Diamond and Pearl. It also says that in Platinum, you can hear the legend of Arceus from a hiker in the Oreburgh Mine and then later in the Canalave Library when you have the Arceus from the movie event in your party. The legend just summarizes what we already know about the legendaries of Sinnoh in that Arceus is the creator and Dialga, Palkia, and the lake trio were born from it.
Remember how Ruby's male main looks? Here's a hint, the white in his head is NOT his hair.Wait, some people still think the white is his hair?
I so need to start reading the manga again. How far are the scanlations?
He may have a silly hat, but he did take on a Salamence with his bare hands. That's pretty awesome. He should get respect for that.Yep, he's just that awesome.

You people and your Misty...
What of Erika? Sabrina? Janine!?
Wait... Janine... Ehh... -_-
The game is basically this: You own Pokemon toys, wind them up, and then they fight in a ring until only one toy remains. As you play the game and advance, you collect new Pokemon toys. Each Pokemon toy has two attacks. On the Wii remote you use buttons 1 and 2 to select different attacks. For example, Garchomp's button 1 is Dragon Rage while button 2 is Crunch. As you progress through the game you earn coins which can be used to teach your Pokemon new techniques.
Before you are able to do anything, you send out your Pokemon to fight wild Pokemon. The Pokemon can roam freely using the D-pad and use a variety of moves, so it isn't as restrictive as the main series where you just choose attacks and Pokemon launch them. Wild Pokemon join you on your journey, and when they drop a "P" item on the ground, you can recruit additional Pokemon. After a while if you release some of the Pokemon you have encountered, the Pokemon gives you a parting gift - a ticket. The ticket can be used to recruit even stronger Pokemon. Once you gain a certain amount of strength and experience, you can participate in a Battle Royal. A Battle Royal is when you send your Pokemon out into an arena and it has to defeat 100 Pokemon. At the end of every level there is a Boss Pokemon you have to fight, which is a Legendary.
Up to four players can battle each other. If you have multiple Wii remotes, you can use them along with the Nunchucks for cooperative play. Additionally, photos can be taken during each match and your Pokemon toys can be stored on your Wii remote. After the game is released, the official Pokemon site will release passwords that you can redeem for rare Pokemon toys.
Today, Pokemon Sunday announced that a pedometer called the "PokeWalk" will be handed out to players who purchase HeartGold and SoulSilver. You can transfer a Pokemon from your game to the device and as you walk, your Pokemon will gain experience, happiness, and will level-up depending on the amount of steps you take. The pedometer is tiny and Poke Ball-shaped, featuring a black and white display with a sprite of your Pokemon as well as three buttons. We'll know more about its functions closer to the release of HeartGold and SoulSilver so stay tuned.
Hmm, this concept sounds VERY famillar...
Oh yeah, Pokemon Pikachu/Pokemon Pikachu 2 GS had a similar idea, where you walk to get watts to feed Pikachu.
inb4noshitsherlockSame :O
Both the Japanese Pokemon website and IGN have posted new information regarding the PokeWalker.
The pedometer will convert your steps into the watt, a currency that can be used to catch wild Pokemon and to shop for "tools." It is unknown what these tools are (perhaps they mean items?) or how you will be able to catch any wild Pokemon, but anything you gain on the pedometer will wirelessly transfer back to HeartGold and SoulSilver. This may be similar to the Pokemon Pikachu 2 gigapet, where every 20 steps you took converted into one watt which could then be transferred to Gold, Silver, and Crystal and redeemed for special items. The pedometer will also include mini-games, though not much is known about them at this point.
The device itself will weight 21 grams at a thickness of 13.9mm and a diameter of 48mm, featuring a key chain hole on the top.
New scans from July's issue of CoroCoro have surfaced on Japanese image boards. According to Heerosferret, the first scan featuring the silhouettes of Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza states that once you beat the Elite Four in HeartGold, Kyogre will appear in the wild, whereas when you beat them in SoulSilver, Groudon will appear. Once you capture the Pokemon corresponding to your game and unite it with the other legendary traded over from another copy of HeartGold or SoulSilver, Rayquaza will appear and you can snatch it as well.
More scans should be coming in today or possibly later in the week. The second scan just shows off Professor Elm's lab, depicts the Rival's new artwork, and shows a Team Rocket grunt. The third scan featuring Cynthia states, "Witness the birth of Arceus and Legendary Pokemon," but we are unsure if the scan is referring to Platinum's Arceus legend, the 12th movie, or what.
The fourth scan, which shows Arceus and Cynthia together in HeartGold and SoulSilver, shows someone saying that they were "given the right to choose one life out of three." It is unclear if Cynthia or Arceus is speaking the line or who the line is referring to. It could be in reference to Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, as there are three symbols on the floor and Arceus rules over those Pokemon. This scene is most likely a hidden event, as it would be hard to imagine Arceus or Cynthia appearing in the timeline of the second generation. Perhaps if you trade the Japanese movie Arceus to the two games, you will unlock an event where you can capture one of the Dragon Trio, thus "saving" them. This is just speculation of course.
Wouldn´t that make waaay too many legendary Pokémon in one game?G/S: Ho-oh/Lugia, Entei, Raikou, Suicune (4)
Brich does get the hair treatment too.Professor Elm. -_-
Professor Elm. -_-
A new scan of Jirachi has surfaced. The scan is way too blurry to read, but posters on 2ch who have CoroCoro are providing summaries of the info. How accurate their posts are we do not know - we will probably have to wait a few more days for clearer scans to determine their validity. However, they state that a Jirachi download is going to take place in June. The new WiiWare game Melee! Pokemon Scramble! appears on the bottom of the page and is coming out in a few days, so perhaps Jirachi is a present that you can download with the game. When you trade the Jirachi to HeartGold and SoulSilver, it will unlock a new area called "Edge of the Night Sky."
I usually leave that to you. >.>;
A McDonalds promotion will take place in Japan from June 19th to July 17th in which customers can download a special Jirachi through Mystery Gift. As we already found out in the previous news story, the Jirachi will unlock something special in HeartGold and SoulSilver, rumored to be a hidden area called "Edge of the Night Sky."
Additionally, McDonalds will allow players to download some of the Pokemon toys from Melee! Pokemon Scramble to their DS, including Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Turtwig, Piplup, Chimchar, Garchomp, Pikachu, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres (all 1st and 4th generation Pokemon!). When they have collected all of the Pokemon, they can earn McDonalds coupons. Basically, the promotion is just a gimmicky advertisement for the game.
New Information:
- All 493 Pokemon can follow you around, you can see Steelix and Wobbuffet following the trainers in the scans.
- You can interact with your Pokemon to see how they feel towards you like with Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow.
- The PokeDex, Computer Boxes and your bag have been given a totally new layout utilizing the touchscreen.
- You will be able to travel back to Kanto in HeartGold and SoulSilver and new exclusive locations have been added.
- You must have your "Pikachu Coloured Pichu" following you in Ilex forest to activate the Notched Eared Pichu event.
- Pre-order HeartGold and get a Ho-Oh figure, pre-order SoulSilver and get a Lugia figure, pre-order both and get both figures and an Arceus one.
- The Mc Donalds Jirachi is to be sent to Diamond, Pearl or Platinum first then transferred to HeartGold/SoulSilver once released. It will be available in Japan from June 19th until July 17th.
-The Jirachi is Level 5 and knows Draco Meteor, Rest, Wish and Confusion and is holding a Liechi Berry.
- Kyogre appears in HeartGold whilst Groudon appears in SoulSilver, if you bring the two together in the same game then Rayquaza will also be unlocked.

Level 1? Feels odd.
But... how do u get pkiachu colored pichu?
They could always use the Wifi Mystery Gift...
...Yeah, we're never gonna get them.
On a separate note, one thing I noticed though is, right before the announcement of HGSS, someone ended up discovering that Johto was a region that Pokemon could come from, and right from a movie, awhile later, rumors flared up about HGSS, with confirmation announced about a week later.
The discovery of Johto was WAY before that.
Why do you use so many damn emotes?
I CAN HAVE MY GIRATINA FOLLOW ME NOW!!! 8)If the height limit allows it.
If the height limit allows it.
- All 493 Pokemon can follow you around, you can see Steelix and Wobbuffet following the trainers in the scans.
What height limit? My bad I really need to keep up with this thread...does that mean a Wailord can follow you around?
But seriously to have your Pokemon following, and all 493, it just plain awesome! Why they never did it for D/P/P versions I'll never know.
What about a Goldeen? Will it just fly?I believe it was the pokemon the first slot last I remember.
But seriously to have your Pokemon following, and all 493, it just plain awesome! Why they never did it for D/P/P versions I'll never know.
I'm curious, the Pokemon that follows you around is it the 1st Pokemon in your slot or will you have control of which Pokemon you want to follow you around and choose to stop your Pokemon from following you around.
1] MagikarpSeriously people, this is the golden answer.
I don't see Eevee on that list... moving along.
Why the hell would you want a Gengar following you anyway? Best to keep that guy where you can see him.
I'm gonna have a Crogunk following me.And Poison Jab you everytime you try to flirt?
And Poison Jab you everytime you try to flirt?Pretty much.
Again, I think I'm gonna have to train two Cyndaquil's now. One to follow me around at ALL times, and another to grow into Typhlosion. That is so cool.
Wonder how this will affect Pokemon like Linoone, whose only use is to pick up things.
Yes
Very yes!
I want those D:
Preorder confirmed! owob
probably not much, Linoone can be anywhere on the list to pick up stuff, and odds are it will still pick up better items than whatever pokemon is following you. The higher the level, the better items Linoone got.Yes, but the thing is, if Linoone is the lead Pokemon, will the items it picks up be due to his Pickup ability, or items ala Amity Square?
Screw Typhlosion. I'll stick with my Quilava.I don´t even know how to pronouce Typhlosion -_- .....so I gave mine a nickname :P
Edit: GOD DAMN IT, RPM. Stop being god damn ninjas.
The official Japanese Pokemon website (http://www.pokemon.co.jp/special/hgss) has revealed better-quality images of HeartGold and SoulSilver's Johto map and box art in addition to a new image of Ecruteak City. No new information was revealed on the website, though we can now see that there is a new, fairly large chunk of land to the west of Cianwood City (Johto's Battle Frontier?), a new building west of Goldenrod City next to the Radio Tower, and a small new area west of National Park.
For one, there are currently four known PokeWalker courses, each of which will have different Pokemon that you can encounter and then transfer to HeartGold and SoulSilver. They are called "Refreshing Field," "Noisy Forest," "Rugged Path," and "Edge of the Night Sky," the latter being the one that the McDonalds Jirachi unlocks once traded over to the two games (side-note: The Jirachi will also be downloadable via Wi-Fi to people with the Japanese games). The default courses are the first two, and to unlock the Rugged Path field you need to take an unconfirmed 1,000 steps. Presumably, the more steps you take with the PokeWalker, the more fields you will unlock, and the more wild Pokemon you can encounter. To encounter a wild Pokemon, you use the PokeWalker's built-in PokeRadar, which will detect wild Pokemon and then allow your Pokemon to battle it. You can also use the PokeWalker's Item Finder to find hidden items, just like in the main games. To use both items requires a certain amount of watts, or steps taken.
both Lugia and Ho-Oh are confirmed to be capturable in both games, just like in the original Gold and Silver.
Was looking at this...
That is one beautiful image of Ecruteak City.
Yes, but the thing is, if Linoone is the lead Pokemon, will the items it picks up be due to his Pickup ability, or items ala Amity Square?
Was looking at this...
That is one beautiful image of Ecruteak City.
Nope, you must "talk" to the Pokemon in order to get the item it holds in Amity Square.
So, it holds on to it until you "talk" to it, just like Pickup.
- All 493 Pokemon can follow you around, you can see Steelix and Wobbuffet following the trainers in the scansF)*(#&$^% YEAH! Game is sold (as if the promise of a Kanto Gym Leader remix wasn't enough). I get to show off my DRAGONITE POWER at all times. 8)
I think Pickup just lets the Pokemon hold on to it, but I don't know if the Pokemon actually holds onto the item like in Amity square though. I never bothered going there, so I don't know if they have an actual physical hold on the item like with Pickup.Well, I telling you now.
It looks like the new area in the video is called, "Shinto Iseki"... I don't know what Shinto translates to (if anything... God, maybe? Some with better moonrune knowledge help me here. :P) but the latter is obviously Ruins.

and Dragonite was no longer the only one that could do Dragon Dance AND Outrage, so it pretty much gave it the middle finger even moreso.(http://mysite.verizon.net/Serpentara/objection.gif)
Both are correct. The metagame will change since the moves change, but it'll always remain the same: A bunch of incessant whining about which way is the "proper" way to play.
Platinum may have handed out Outrage to his competitors, but it also gave Dragonite Superpower. When the only thing you can't STAB Outrage into oblivion is Steel, that's not something to be overlooked.
Still hoping we'll see the return of Extremespeed Dragonite, though, but seeings how they already said FU to Crystal with the whole female player shpiel, I'm not all that hopeful. We'll see. Either way, I'm buying this game. G/S music remixes and any Pokemon following you is just too damn awesome to pass up.
A STEELIX?! A [chameleon sting]ing STEELIX! WOW!I wonder if someone would make a youtube video with a Wailord following them?
Is there no pokemon you can't travel with?
Oh, the random blackbelt at Amity Square East gate will be SO HAPPY!Yep, he should relocate now. XD
Was that the Pirates of the Caribbean theme playing in the begining?
I wonder if someone would make a youtube video with a Wailord following them?
Even better, Kyogre. "Sorry guys, just takin' my pet Lord of Rain out for a walk, you'll have to excuse the sudden typhoon".Hmm I wonder how much chaos you can make with a Groudon?
THINK OF THE BUILDINGS YOU CAN DESTROY WITH RAYQUAZA.I think that's more of a job for Groudon or Regigigas, maybe Deoxys too.
Meanwhile, can the games come out any faster please? XD
If it did, then 2010 wouldn't be kicking the [parasitic bomb] out of most other gaming years.
Man... 2008 was a spectacular gaming year. 2009 seems to be the resting year, but 2010 is like... "Round 2!"
If you're gonna unlock Pokemons with passwords in Scramble, you should NEVER do it early in the game, or they will lose lots of Strength power stats. Mew has a power of 2255 or close to it, but if you unlock Mew in say, the Grade B arena, it will only have 199 in power. Password-version Eevee has 420 (or 490) power, so you have to wait and advance through the game before you decide to unlock pokemons. You can catch Eevee in the wild anyways, maybe even stronger than the unlockable one. It depends on when you catch the pokemon, and the further you get, the stronger they become. You will end up throwing out a lot of your weak pokemons sooner or later. You can't level them up either... -w- </wii>
Type matchups, Weakness, and Resistance do come into play, but aren’t as critical a factor as in the DS games. Immunities are a nonissue; Ghosts can be damaged with Fighting moves, Poison-types can be Poisoned, there’s no Water Absorb or Levitate.
There's still EQ to handle Steels, as well as Fire-type attacks. Superpower just forces Dragonite to either switch or constantly use Dragon Dance, so I wouldn't say that's a good thing <.<As if Outrage is a good long-term attack anyway? Most battles don't last that long, especially not when everyone and their dog knows to keep a few Ice Beamers handy.
Odds are it'll be an event pokemon about 6 months after the game gets released, if they don't put it in there.I wonder. There's already an event Dragonite for the purpose of legitimizing him in Nintendo's non-adjusting Level 50 tournaments (I made sure to go to TrU and get a legit one, and he rocks). But it could happen.

Hello Generation 5 and Ruby/Sapphire remakes.
As if Outrage is a good long-term attack anyway? Most battles don't last that long, especially not when everyone and their dog knows to keep a few Ice Beamers handy.
You'd want two anti-Steel attack types to guarantee full coverage, and NOT Fighting with Ground (due to Bronzong and Skarmory), so it has to be Fire and something else. EQ is nice, but in Doubles, you can't use it without hammering a non-Flying/Levitating partner. The extra Fighting coverage against Ice and Dark is always a plus, too. Even with just Brick Break (more for the sake of knowing your target, since a 2x Brick Break doesn't outdamage a 1.5x Outrage), my Dragonite/Blissey combo has torn apart a Dark Void opener. With Superpower it gets even more devastating.
Well, it is stated right here:
I guess they needed to fix the fail that tainted the series in those installments as well. *shot* XDI'm not so sure a remake could fix that...
That's a double team, so that's sort of exempt from being used as any kind of example. This is why "competitive" battling is complete rubbish. You don't just ignore half the game and call it standard play.
Outrage at least has STAB and giant power the entire time, and it's only resisted by Steel types. Superpower is resisted by Psychic and Flying types, and Ghosts have no problem stepping into the attack.Thank you, captain obvious, but it completely ignores the point that Dragonite can have both, so the point of running comparisons is what? That was never at any point an either-or discussion.

I didn't make the rules, don't bite my head off.Said rules are completely fan-based, and your first sentence contested my post based solely on them. If your own attitude towards them is indifferent, then you shouldn't have brought them up in the first place.
The sentence you cutoff pretty much answers your question. You clearly do not understand my question. I am not asking what the difference between them is or why one is better than the other. I am asking what that has to do with the discussion. Because never, anywhere, did I suggest eliminating Outrage in favor of Superpower, only a fool would do so on a Dragon. What I said was that it was an excellent choice to round out offensive options in addition to Outrage. So argument for using Outrage over Superpower are completely irrelevant.
Superpower is obvious when it'll switch, Outrage isn't thanks to the two berries that solve confusion, Lum and anti-confuse (I can't remember the friggin names aside from Lum and the offense+/Speed+ berry), and never knowing if it actually has it.White Herb mean anything to you?
I guess they needed to fix the fail that tainted the series in those installments as well. *shot* XD
Am I the only living being that actually liked generation 3?

White Herb mean anything to you?
Am I the only living being that actually liked generation 3?No. Emerald is my most cleared game in all the series.
As for White Herb, you honestly think that it's useful? Choice Band is a better choice because when you switch, your attack goes back to normal and Choice Band re-activates.
I was talking about the differences between Salamence and Dragonite, like I did in the first place.Discussing the advantages of Outrage over Superpower is not a difference; both Pokemon have Outrage. That line of discussion remains pointless.
as well as Salamence having access to two attacks that hit the same types as Superpower as well as othersBrick Break and Rock Smash? Their power can't compare. Believe me, I used Brick Break all the time prior to Platinum, and the extra 45 attack strength can make a lot of difference.
As for White Herb, you honestly think that it's useful? Choice Band is a better choice because when you switch, your attack goes back to normal and Choice Band re-activates. Not to mention it actually makes the first Superpower stronger. White Herb gets used once and it's gone, and it's applied whenever ANY stat drops, so if you get hit by any stat-reducing attack, White Herb goes away.Choice Band leaves less flexibility given that there's a big "if" on whether or not you get the chance to switch. It also eliminates the option of using Dragon Dance, as well as switching attack types should the opponent bring in a Fighting-resist, and it leaves Superpower's Defense penalty untouched. The use when any stat drops is hardly a negative, either, given how many Pokemon depend on Intimidate to scare off physical attackers.
No. Emerald is my most cleared game in all the series.I had Emerald ALMOST cleared, and left it at that. The ludicrously high-leveled Victory Road wilds got on my nerves. Really ought to get back on that sometime, the VR theme is cool after all.
That has to say something... -_-
0v0 Best Pokemon Game , ever!
I believe he means IVs. 0-15 (old) as opposed to 0-31 (new).
Before the movie started a new HeartGold and SoulSilver commercial played, which I imagine will not air for another few weeks. A 3D Entei appears, followed by Raikou, and then Suicune. We see Ho-Oh and Lugia posing, and then some game footage. Most of it has already been seen, but there is some sort of footage involving a race with laps being counted. I have no idea what it was, so it's probably something completely new in the games. The male character is also shown riding a Pokemon in the Lake of Rage. He encounters the red Gyarados while doing so.
After the movie aired, a teaser for the 13th movie played. Lugia and Ho-Oh are seen fighting each other. Lugia fires some Aeroblasts while Ho-Oh uses what appears to be Sacred Fire. This does not mean for sure that the two will actually be fighting in the movie. It's just a teaser trailer.
You guys must [tornado fang]ing love grinding. Not really, but that's just it, the advantage of the old system would be that you don't have to be particular about your grinding. You can just trash the Elite Four over and over, or whatever, and get your 'mans the strongest they can be. At current EV training is a pain, because the wrong EVs can mess you up. You have to look up on Serebii or whatever what specific Pokemon give you the EVs you're looking for, and fight ONLY them, making any Pokemon you used while actually clearing the adventure screwed over.
Actually, 110 Base-600's would get you there
Hey if the EVing system isnt good , is a metagross with 404 attack good? its shiny and never had the pokerus
HP Dark on a Metagross. But HP Fire or Ground hurts more than you think.
Not feelin' it.
I thought you said each stat needed 65535. 65535 for each stat is 393210. If we get 600 for every kill, and assume we only fight Manaphy or Mew or something so nothing gets wasted, that's 393210/600=655.35=656.Sorry, brain-fart.
Am I missing something here or what?
there's a decent workaround for it all now thanks to the regions being in the game paks?
^That one.
Man, sounds too awesome to believe...I find it hard to believe that PlayAsia would be the first to report new information on a yet unreleased game. The Hoenn shpiel sounds to me like jumping to conclusions over the old news that you can somehow nab Kyogre and Groudon.
Jesus(Look at Mew's PokeDex entry: It has the DNA of every Pokemon.)
At least with the first generation, while still being powerful, wasn't capable of nothing more than just destroying things. Things can be replaced.]
Now go three generations ahead, and you've got Pokemon that control time and space(Palkia and Dialga), is responsible for every human emotion(The Elves, and can be seen as God(Arceus, whose PokeDex entry states that the world was created by it) and Jesus(Look at Mew's PokeDex entry: It has the DNA of every Pokemon.)
The next generation is going to be hard as hell to make new Pokemon for, unless we're going to be battling with [tornado fang]ing planets now.
Okay, I see a flaw in my logic.*smacks LazyMan with his magical talking fish*
But besides that little hiccup, my point still stands.
Oh yeah...the gen. 4 legendaries ruined it...HO-oh was supposed to be the top pokémon....Bull. Mewtwo was, and STILL WOULD BE (as in Base Stat total higher than Arceus), had they not axed his Special Defense in G/S/C.
Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina each learn moves they could not previously learn - Metal Burst, Hydro Pump, and Shadow Sneak (respectively).
There are 9 mini-games. One of them could be the racing game I saw at the early premiere of the Arceus movie.
Eusine, a character from Crystal, is in the game.
Latios and Latias are in the games at Level 30.
Mewtwo is in the game (Kanto confirmation if it turns out to be true?).
Lugia and Ho-Oh have a "hidden ability."
Comfirmation of Lugia and Ho-Oh at Level 45
Comfirmation of Red Gyarados returning at Level 30
You follow Entei, Suicune, and Raikou around Johto, just like in the original games. However, Eusine is stalking Suicune.
There is a new feature in the game called the "Pokeathelon," which is a mini-game feature that uses the stylus.
The Pokemon Gyms have various traps.
The Kimono Girls are part of the storyline and you meet them many times.
Lastly, I know some will be delighted at Mewtwo. 8DF*@#! YEAH!
Red Gyarados footage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYYdmWicYLo)Riding a shadow in the water. *sighs* Oh well, maybe you can at least see your actual Pokemon jumping in and out.
Consider this pre-ordered as soon as the U.S. release date is confirmed.
Better sound, too. 8)
The Pokethlon tests you and your Pokemon’s Speed, Power, Technique, Stamina and jumping ability.
You get to choose three Pokemon. Each Pokemon appears to have stars in each category being from top to bottom, “Speed,” “Power,” “Technique,” “Stamina,” and “Jump.” It appears speed can be up to 5 stars, power up to 4 and all the rest max out at 3.
Two different types of minigames in the Pokethlon are discussed: Dash Hurdle and Bound Field.
Dash Hurdle is located in a place called the Track Dome.
Bound Field is located in a place called the Jump Dome.
Dash Hurdle: You control 3 Pokemon simultaneously, as they run you must click on their overworld sprites. By doing so, they will jump over the hurdles. The course gets harder the further you run through. This track focuses on your speed and jump abilities.
Bound Filed: Again, you control three Pokemon simultaneously. In this, your technique and jump abilities are being tested. The more lit-up (yellow) things you touch when you make a jump, the higher your score rises.
Pokemon can earn medals.
The first scan was already shown earlier this week, but now we can see Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Entei's sprites. Overworld shots of Ho-Oh in front of the Tin Tower and Lugia in the Whirl Islands are also shown. The scenes will probably precede or follow those 3D shots of Ho-Oh flying around the Tin Tower and Lugia sitting behind the wave of water - the 3D scenes that were revealed a while ago.
The second scan shows the Kimono Girls, Red Gyarados, Pokemon Gyms, and more Pokethlon mini-games. It appears that inside of Ilex Forest, you can team up with one of the Kimono Girls to help her find the exit, similar to Cheryl in DPt's Eterna Forest. The scan states that the Kimono Girl holds a "key" to the story, perhaps meaning that she literally has a key for the player. The screenshot that shows the dance studio the Kimono Girls reside in has a Team Rocket grunt in it, so it seems Team Rocket has some involvement with them... the grunt says, "So, you can't listen to your customer's commands, huh?", yelling at the Kimono Girls. In addition to the Dash Hurdle and Bound Field mini-games we learned about yesterday, the scan reveals two new games: Ring-Out Fight and Shooting Snow. Shooting Snow seems to involve... shooting snow, while Ring-Out Fight appears to be like the Hitmontop game in Pokemon Stadium 2 where you have to knock Pokemon out of a ring.
For the third scan we have PokeGear and PokeWalker information. You can check the Johto map on the PokeGear and it has a radio and phone (not real ones of course). Unlike previous Pokemon games, you can now assign two key items (like a Super Rod and Bicycle) using two of the DS's buttons, though we don't know which yet. The scan also shows that the Item Finder has been redesigned, which you can see on the middle of the page to the left (the black circle with orange and a dot). As for the PokeWalker, you can connect to a friend's PokeWalker using your own. On the bottom of the scan you can see two PokeWalkers connecting to each other, one with a Cyndaquil and the other with a Pikachu. One of the players receives an Oran Berry in doing so, which means that there will probably be ways of obtaining items when connecting with your friend's PokeWalker. The scan also gives us our first look of a Pokemon getting captured on the PokeWalker - you can see a Poke Ball capturing a Sentret. Additionally, one of the screenshots shows the PokeWalker's Item Finder discovering a Rare Candy, which may mean it will allow players to obtain rare items. It is also revealed that the PokeWalker will record your daily progress with a journal.
The fourth scan confirms that the Level 1 Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina you receive from Arceus will be able to learn Metal Burst, Hydro Pump, and Shadow Sneak (respectively). There are screenshots of each Pokemon using their attack. In the final scan, Notched-Ear Pichu's attacks are confirmed to be Pain Split, Volt Tackle, Helping Hand, and Swagger.
As for the Latios, Latias, and Mewtwo factoids posted the other day... they were most likely fake. There is no indication in the scans of any of those Pokemon being in the games, though if Kanto is included, Mewtwo may be too.
Each version of the game features a slightly different version of the hub town, different starting Pokemon, and different missions. Flame Rescue Team takes place in the volcanic Pokemon Village and emphasizes Fire-Type Pokemon. The starting Pokemon are Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Chimchar, Vulpix, Growlithe, Eevee, Teddiursa, and Buneary. Storm Rescue Team takes place on Pokemon Beach, emphasizes Water-Type Pokemon, and has Squirtle, Totodile, Mudkip, Piplup, Wooper, Azurill, Phanpy, Riolu, and Wynaut as its starters. Light Rescue Team takes place in the forested Pokemon Garden and emphasizes Electric-Types. Pichu, Pikachu, Shinx, Pachirisu, Elekid, Mareep, Psyduck, Togepi, and Meowth are available from the start. While previous iterations of Pokemon Dungeon assigned your starter based on a personality profile, this time you can apparently choose your starter from the nine Pokemon available.
Gameplay involves taking your team of up to four Pokemon into mazes (the titular mysterious dungeons), and battling through multiple floors of enemies until you find either the exit or a set target such as a Pokemon that needs to be rescued. Along the way, your Pokemon will gain experience, items, money, and possibly even recruit new team members. The layout of the dungeons changes with every visit, keeping the game fresh and challenging. Support is provided by the townspeople. As in previous games, Kangaskhan can hold items, Duskull runs a bank, and Kecleon has a shop. Slaking and Gastrodon also appear, though their role is not yet clear (probably dojo master and move tutor). Slowking is the village Elder, and apparently assigns new missions. Arceus also plays a role in the story.
Two major changes have been made to the gameplay, which sets these titles apart from other Pokemon Dungeon games. First, while in the previous Pokemon Dungeon games, Pokemon couldn't evolve until the endgame for story purposes, in the Wiiware games Pokemon can evolve as soon as they reach the proper level. What's more, if they level up in the middle of a battle, they can evolve right then and there! However, this ability works both ways--enemy Pokemon can also evolve midbattle. The second change is the introduction of the Pokemon Tower. Your team members can climb on each other's shoulders to form a "tower". While like this, the Pokemon move and fight as a unit, combining their stats to drastically improve their overall strength. Of course, enemies can also form Pokemon Towers...
The game makes use of the Wii's online capabilities, allowing players to trade Pokemon and download special missions. It also improves upon the SOS feature from previous games by making full use of the Wii-mail system. The SOS feature works like this: Normally, if your team is Knocked Out during a mission, you lose half your money, half your items, and have to restart the dungeon from scratch. However, if you have WiiConnect24 turned on, you can send a message to the people on your friends list requesting a rescue. Your friends then play through the same dungeon that your team last entered, and if they successfully reach your team, your Pokemon will be revived and allowed to continue from where you left off. Throughout this process, Wii-mail keeps both players apprised of the other team's progress.
Finally, the games will have some sort of connectivity with the DS, at the very least allowing players to use it as a controller. Whether or not this allows for some form of remote play remains to be seen.

Farfetch'd so needs an evolution.
Man, Farfetch'd looks more deadly this time around, it even knows areal ace. AT LV 5 no less. looks like they fixed the flying types' issue if there were any..Farfetch'd already knows Aerial Ace in this generation, plus that wasn't AA, it was Night Slash.

QUESTION TIMEI personally hate that rule, especially when I want to use leftovers on 2 or more Pokemon. Heck, I'm not even sure why the Battle Tower/Frontier enforces it in the first place.
Why are people against multiple pokemon using the same hold item anyway? Like seriously how could this annoy someone. I don't get it.
Why are people against multiple pokemon using the same hold item anyway? Like seriously how could this annoy someone. I don't get it.Same reason they're against multiple of the same species on a team, I suppose.
Dunsparce and magikarp is basically the dan hibiki of the pokemon series. teach them the right moves (plus getting the magikarp to involve into it's superior form gyarados) and you got [twin slasher].
@STM:No it's not. There's no Jessie and James, you can't get the 3 starters withou trading, Gary doesn't have the eveelutions, and the gym leaders don't have the same pokemons.Fanservice, negligible since you only need two more, point, negligible since they weren't much harder.
@STM:No it's not. There's no Jessie and James, you can't get the 3 starters withou trading, Gary doesn't have the eveelutions, and the gym leaders don't have the same pokemons.
You could argue the Surfing Pikachu mini-game, but that only served as a nice distraction if you happened to have the surfing pikachu from Stadium, I believe.
Great that Kanto was even in the origional Gold and Silver, which you took a boat to go there, now you get a train to go there. *insert rs wily laugh here*
The largest piece of information revealed is the return of Apricorns and making Poke Balls out of them, though we already knew they would be included due to an Apricorn tree's presence in the demos of the games. As the first and second scans show above, all seven Apricorn Poke Balls from Gold and Silver return. However, a new feature for the remakes will be the inclusion of an Apricorn Case, a new item that you keep in your bag which allows you to grow Apricorns on the go!
Friend Ball - the caught Pokemon has high happiness after being captured; made from Green Apricorn.
Heavy Ball - catch rate is higher the heavier the Pokemon is; Black Apricorn.
Love Ball - 8x better catch rate if the wild Pokemon is the opposite gender of your Pokemon; Pink Apricorn.
Fast Ball - 4x better catch rate if the wild Pokemon flees from battle; White Apricorn.
Level Ball - higher catch rate for lower-leveled Pokemon; made from Red Apricorn.
Moon Ball - 4x better catch rate for Pokemon that evolve from the Moon Stone; Yellow Apricorn.
Lure Ball - 3x better catch rate for Pokemon caught on a fishing rod; Blue Apricorn.
The rest of the scans reveal the return of the National Park's Bug Catching Contest (third scan), where you attempt to capture the best Bug-type Pokemon and the Mystery Egg (fourth scan), which eventually hatched into a Togepi in the original games. The Safari Zone (fifth scan) is new to the Johto region and is located in Cianwood City. A new Johto Battle Frontier is also confirmed, the entrance of which is seen on the right side of the sixth scan along with the Magnet Train. The seventh scan shows Raikou's sprite, while the eighth and ninth scans depict an encounter with a Level 50 Rayquaza. As reported in June, the Rayquaza will appear in either game once Kyogre and Groudon, each of which is version-exclusive, are captured and traded over to one game.
(http://i27.tinypic.com/1zwc57d.jpg)>Dialga and palkia double battle
>Dialga and palkia double battle
Please tell me they're not wild...
owo Mewtwo! I feel love~
They aren't. It's just showing off the attacks in the scan.
The first scan reveals that in regards to the Safari Zone, you can customize its layout and send it to your friends to use, similar to how you can create your own levels in Super Smash Brothers Brawl. From available Pokemon you can change where they will appear; not many details are known about how this will work, however. In the Safari Zone's entrance, you can use a computer called "Custom Area" to switch around and customize the area's appearance.
For the Bug-Catching Contest in National Park, it is confirmed that the competitions will only occur on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday like in the original Gold and Silver games. The contest will use "Konpe" Poke Balls, which is probably short for "Compe(tition)."
The top of the second scan introduces a new use for the Apricorns - they can be mixed into drinks that increase your Pokemon's Pokethlon stats. A new item called the "Apricorn Shaker" pulverizes your Apricorns into the juice. You simply place your Apricorns inside the Apricorn Shaker, walk around a little, and the Apricorns will eventually produce juice for you to feed to your Pokemon. In the scan it shows that Chikorita has gained one star in its Pokethlon speed stat through this method. Additionally, it is revealed that Apricorns can be picked from trees once a day. The scan also reveals the new Ken Sugimori artwork for Poke Ball maker Kurt, who crafts Poke Balls out of Apricorns.
The third scan does not reveal much new information. It states that you can go to Kanto by boat to earn more badges, which of course we already knew. When talking about Johto's new Battle Frontier, it mentions there is a new "Frontier Front," though it does not go into details about what it is.
The scan also discusses the Wi-Fi event in which you can unlock the "Yellow Forest" route on the Pokewalker to capture Pikachu, but it still does not reveal the special move some of the Pikachu will know. However, the artwork in the background clearly shows a Pikachu flying with balloons, so perhaps some of the Pikachu will know Fly.
In regards to the Pokethlon events, three new ones are revealed: Break Block, Change Relay, and Push Circle. Break Block seems to involve karate chopping brick blocks, Change Relay is another race but with only one of your Pokemon, and Push Circle seems to be another ring match in which you knock Pokemon out of a ring.
The final scan is obviously discussing Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza in the two games. The trio will fight you at Level 50 each. Their locations are not revealed in the scans, though it appears they reside in caves. The scan reaffirms that Kyogre can only be caught in HeartGold, while Groudon can only be caught in SoulSilver - bringing both together to one of the two games will allow you to encounter Rayquaza.
As hinted in the box showing a battle for the 2010 World Championship's video game tournament, Pokemon Sunday yesterday confirmed that Legendary Pokemon will be allowed in the tournament: Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina can be on your team. One of the hosts on Pokemon Sunday stated that he has always had a Kyogre but was never able to use it, which means he caught it in Sapphire. If so, Pokemon Sunday may be implying that players can use the above legendaries from any of your games at next year's tournament, not just the Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Dialga, etc. caught in HeartGold and SoulSilver.
Pokemon Sunday also revealed that the Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina your Arceus creates in the Shinto Ruins will each come with their respective Adamant, Lustrous, and Griseous Orbs.
Oh look. Mewtwo.*does zee uppercut*
Where's Hypershell? 8D

April 1st?
I think I might be hanging around RPM too much, April 1st is starting to make me paranoid.Meh it happens anywhere dude.
I don't go just anywhere, I go to RPM and it fucks with my head. Not even Youtube, because they do crazy things on April Fools Day unless you're just talking about the community in general.
I've never seen YouTube do crazy things on April 1st, cause they usually stop at around the time I wake up.Well to fill you in the last April Fools day the videos in your subscriptions, or the home page, were upside down and the year before that the videos were all rickrolls.
I think I might be hanging around RPM too much, April 1st is starting to make me paranoid.Nah, it's a natural feeling.
In case there was any doubt, HeartGold and SoulSilver will still feature the Pal Park. Of course, it will only be usable if the games are inserted into a Nintendo DS or DS Lite since the Nintendo DSi does not have a GBA slot to connect to the GBA games. According to the official Nintendo website (http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/ipkj/index.html)...
Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver are remakes of the Game Boy Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver (doy).
HeartGold and SoulSilver have differences in "types of Pokemon that appear" and "Pokemon appearance percentages."
Communicates with "HeartGold," "SoulSilver," "Diamond," "Pearl," "Platinum," "Pokemon Battle Revolution," also using the double slot feature with "Ruby," "Sapphire," "Emerald," "FireRed," and "LeafGreen." (Communication using the double slot feature is only supported by the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite.)
PokeWalker only supported by "HeartGold" and "SoulSilver."
Can not communicate with Game Boy and Game Cube Pokemon series games. Also, not supported by Wii Ware "My Pokemon Ranch (including Platinum version)."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbd-cU8NgcMI lol'd at the announcer who got ignored for his... Word Play I guess? XD
Pokemon Co. seems to be gearing up for a big promotional push for Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. I've recently seen retail displays pop up at Tokyo game shops promoting the game's "Pokewalker" peripheral. And today, the publisher detailed a launch event for the game.
The launch event will take place on September 26 and September 27 at the Roppongi Hills facility in central Tokyo. The event is formally titled Pocket Monsters Heart Gold/Soul Silver Launch Commemoration Pokemon Day in Roppongi Hills.
The official event page is a bit vague at present, but does promise that attendees will be able to "experience the things that happen in the game." What in the world could that mean?
Additionally, attendees will be able to learn the latest about the Pokemon card game, and sample WiiWare's Pokemon Scramble.
Specific details will be announced next week.
As a launch event, Pokemon Day will be coming a bit late. Heart Gold and Soul Silver hit on September 12.
I'm thinking that this will receive a 9.0 out of a perfect 10.0 in america, since rating systems ARE diffrent.

A new scan has come up on japanese imageboards which seems to indicate that the legendary birds; Articuno, Zapdos & Moltres are to be placed in the Pokémon Heart Gold & Soul Silver. It does not say where they are in the games nor what level they will be at. However, as soon as that information comes, I shall post it here so be sure to check back during our coverage next weekend.

I like the old one beter especially since he didn't really look all androgynous.
[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlpcGNfdoZo[/youtube]
The female character is named Kotone. Thus, she is not Kris, the original Pokemon Crystal girl.
You can hear water when you get close to it with your character.
There is now an option to make the Running Shoes permanent. As in, you do not have to hit B to run faster - your character will just walk faster by default.
Your Starter Pokemon begins to follow you the instant Professor Elm gives it to you.
The staff strongly suggested that some of the Pikachu on the PokeWalker's Yellow Course know Fly... not that there was any doubt about that. They showed the months-old promotional artwork of Pikachu on the course, pointing out that one of them in the background is flying with balloons. They blatantly stated that this was a hint as to what the special move would be.
A new Pokethlon event is "Steal Flag," which is essentially capture-the-flag. Your Pokemon basically gather up flags and bring them back to a goal. This event deals with the speed and technique stats.
Another new Pokethlon event is "Catch Saucer," where you control three Pokemon together and must capture as many flying saucer discs as possible. It deals with the jump and power stats.
Permanent Running shoes?
Took them long enough to make you run all the time.
I hope the Pokémon that follows you gets its own little bicycle.
Some images..

If it was small enough...I saw a Tyranitar in a video. I wanna see it look like what's-his-face on the pocket bike in Planet Terror.
* First, Pal Park is in this game and is located in Fuchsia City where the Safari Zone was in FireRed & LeafGreen
* Next, you can trade from Diamond, Pearl & Platinum as soon as you get the Pokédex
* Snorlax is findable outside Diglett's Cave again at Level 50.
* Red is findable in Silver Cave again, with a slightly different Pokémon Roster

Pretty scintillating stuff.
Wait for more good things, like music and stuff. :3

Surge looks like a clone of Guile. Also, is that Giovanni to the right of Lance, left of Diamond/Lucas?
I have no a DS :'(, nyah!
I'm having problems with it on my Cyclo. :|
So, both of you are having trouble with the sound too?
I think you all have to wait for a new patch to fix that problem. '>.>
Could you share it?
I ripped the music into 2SF. MP3's might show up later. ^^You could always just up the 2SFs for those of us who know how to play them... :3
Looking into some move set changes on Serebii. Looks like the "Uber" 'mans are getting a serious leg up over their already insane power.
-Ho-oh and Lugia both get Weather Ball, and Ho-oh also gets Brave Bird (YES!). Lugia gets......Dragon Rush. o-O
-Kyogre gets Aqua Ring and Muddy Water, just in case the complete water stacking overkill bulk monstrocity didn't [acid burst] you off enough.
-Groudon finally Lava Plumes, which will make for a world of hurt with a Flash Fire partner. He also gets Hammer Arm. Ouch.
-The new moves for 4th-gen's legendary dragons are not exclusive to Arceus-made ones, they're part of the normal HG/SS level up. So, yeah, enjoy a lot of Metal Bursting Dialgas.
It appears that all of the Gym Leaders (Kanto and Johto) can be re-battled.
So essentially, this is turning into the greatest Pokemon game ever.....kinda like how the original Silver was the greatest Pokemon game ever.
So essentially, this is turning into the greatest Pokemon game ever.....kinda like how the original Silver was the greatest Pokemon game ever.
Has anyone had any luck with saving?
Red & Blue/Green do team up to battle you, but only at the Battle Frontier.
The world would shatter in two if those two actually teamed up
It appears that all of the Gym Leaders (Kanto and Johto) can be re-battled.......
I think it translate things that's already exist from other Pokemon DS games (Pokemon names, Attack moves). ^^;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9JcI5LQvYcSeriously too awesome for words.
Hmm now that we can get the 1st and 3rd generation starter pokemon, I wonder if I should choose Cyndaquil or Totodile for the first batch.
I think we both know the answer to that question, young one!I don't know I'm really partial to Blaziken and I wanted to train a Feraligator due to it's sheer physical attack power, then again Typhlosion is decent even though it doesn't have as much attack veraiety as Blaziken.
I already have a Sceptile at LVL100, but I kinda want a Blastoise more than a Swampert, despite Swampert's immunity to Electric. Why?
Cause I like Blastoise, but usually never pick him due to me always starting with Fire, no matter what. However, I already have a LVL100 Charizard, and a pretty good one too, so I'm probably going to go with Blastoise.Huh I never knew that I always picked the ones that had the best advantage in the journey such as Bulbasaur and Cyndaquil for Blue/Leaf Green and Crystal then experimented with Mudkip and Torchic Sapphire and found Torchic to be better then I just chose Piplup for Pearl cuz it was cute, I don't want to restart the game, and really those weren't my favorite starters.
Wait, people actually like feraligatr? Why what's wrong with him?
Mind blown.
Huh I never knew that I always picked the ones that had the best advantage in the journey such as Bulbasaur and Cyndaquil for Blue/Leaf Green and Crystal then experimented with Mudkip and Torchic Sapphire and found Torchic to be better then I just chose Piplup for Pearl cuz it was cute, I don't want to restart the game, and really those weren't my favorite starters.
I always start with Fire, in every Pokemon game. I like fire! 8)True I like fire too but I think I'll pick Totodile and then find a Vulpix because that's one of my favorite Fire types and high speed definetly doesn't hurt.
And Totodile can DANCE!Yes and all Magikarp can do is splash which can't even hurt a Charmander.
You know, technically the best way to settle this Gyarados/Feraligatr debate is with a Pokemon Battle! 8)
LoL, yeah. I was just suggesting it for you two.
I wish I could but again Wi-Fi and EV training...I hate you EV training. Not to mention my Feraligatr's only like above 30 or so last I checked.
Yeah, but what would that prove?
Absolutely nothing. It'd be funny! XDThanks for the vote of confidence. -u-'

LoL, I never said you couldn't win. I just think that settling arguments via Pokemon battles or Dueling is fun & funny! XDYeah I guess...I still hate you EV training, my motto in pokemon is to win with sheer guts and attacks no buffs, de buffs, Counter, and Mirror Coat and to never give the opponet a momment of mercy.

Y'know what it's like, you're about to kill some dude's whole team, suddenly a clefable with a toxic orb gets a lucky critical with facade and ruins everything (YES AQUA I AM IN FACT LOOKING AT YOU RIGHT NOW).

21:44; It seems we have found that Giovanni is utilised within an event that features Celebi. In this event, you meet Giovanni after he hears Team Rocket's message from Goldenrod's Radio Tower. He remarks that you remind him of Red and challenges you to a battle. Once you defeat him, he remarks that his three years were wasted. However, according to the text, you get sent back in time three years for the duration of the event. We'll bring more details when they come

"I do not know what you've come here to do, but this is no place for children like you to be"[/spoiler]
"Your appearence resembles that of a young kid that stood in my way 3 years ago... You have the same kind of look in your eyes..."
Are you going to stand in the way of me going to Goldenrod city to answer the call of my comrades!?"
"...... This is Goldenrod radio tower, goldenrod radio tower calling.
at last all our hard work and efforts these 3 years have payed off and i announce the revival of team rocket! Lord Giovanni! Can you hear us? We've finally done it! ......."
"My former comrades need me, I won't let the mistake of 3 years ago happen again! Team Rocket will be reborn and the world will become mine!"
(i'm guessing battle goes here)
"Wh-why...!? Are you saying that these 3 years have just been a waste of time? To think that I have once again been beaten by a mere kid! Team Rocket's great dream is becoming an illusion and fading away..."
"Hey! I wonder where Lord Giovanni went... I wonder if he's listening to this broadcast somewhere...."
Giovanni "The fact that as long as you do not understand your own power you're still a child... Don't forget that..."
Hibiki: Hey! It's the evil-looking dude you were fighting with a while ago!
Hibiki: 3 years ago...? Kogane City...?
Hibiki:Could this be the guy they were calling on the radio?! Their leader Giovanni!?
Hey, listen, the radio broadcast's all weird! The frequency team rocket were using is supposed to be closed so why!
Hibiki:They keep calling, even though their leader won't come any more... they're stubborn
and after this (playername?) is going to take them down
Hibiki: Huh? but (player name?) is here... so who is going to defeat the rockets at radio tower!?
Again? I've had enough! please return us to our original time!
the hurt Celebi traveled across time! it traveled back to the time before this mysterious adventure started..
There's a radio (it says naranai radio but i don't know what to translata naranai into)
The switch doesn't work
Is it something giovanni left behind?
Celebi...! if we don't do something we won't be able to return to our own time!
Hibiki used the <genki no katamari> on celebi
please return us to our original time this time!
---
If Kotone is there, she says pretty much the same thing, so I didn't bother translating her lines too
It seems that with the help of Celebi's timetraveling abilities you have come to the past...!
"Number one... You said you were going to be the strongest in the world! Are you just going to quit!? What are you going to do from now on!?"
"What do you mean strong! Even though you were so many, you all lost to ONE kid!!"
"I don't understand! I don't get what you're saying at all dad!"
"I Don't even want to know! I don't want to become like you! I won't ever be so weak as to rely on others to become strong! I'll become strong! I'll become strong all by myself!"
"All by myself..."
"What do you want, don't just go around and stare at people!"
"If you cannot accept your loss then you cannot move forward... In order to create an even stronger organization, I shall now be alone"
"By gathering a large amount of people, you gain great power, that is what an organization is... That is the power of an orginazation!"
"I've failed my underlings...!
One day I will make sure to revive Team Rocket!!"
"There will come a time when you'll understand..."
Hibiki: where is this?
Hibiki: Ilex forest disappeared? No... It seems like it, but in reality, we are the ones that have been taken to a differnet place?
It's strange! When you turn on the pokegear you hear the date of 3 years ago!
Could it be... That pokemon, Celebi? yeah, it must be Celebi! My gramps told me that Celebi has the mysterious ability to travel through time! We must've been taken to the past by Celebi!
There's someone over there, let's go see!
Hibiki: What's up with him! But their conversation... what was it about I wonder?
Team Rocket's revival? If I recall correctly, Team Rocket were defeated by a kid in Kanto 3 years ago... so this must really be 3 years ago!
Hibiki: Ah! It's the same as before, it's Celebi's timetravel!!

Also, me and my friend want to know if it's true that you can get a skateboard, like it was supposed to be in the original games(before they scrapped the idea).
Wait I thought RED was GIOVANNI's kid
The Rocket Scientist on Four Island in FireRed/LeafGreen said that Giovanni's son had red hair.People can have multiple children.
Red, despite his name, does not have red hair.

For those that have HGSS, from November 11th to November 23rd, Mew will be downloadable via Mystery Gift over the Nintendo WiFi connection.
It will be lvl5, and have the Premier Ribbon.
However, no news on whether this Mew will have any special effect in-game.
One more interesting tidbit.
HGSS has revealed the Forme names for Cherrim.
The normal form of Cherrim all closed up is called Negative Forme, while the form of Cherrim under the effect of Sunny Day is called Positive Forme.

My friend got in on my M3 he's currently borrowing because my DS is broken because Nintendo make hardware quite like they used to, so I got to see like the opening & hear some music.
What's with the chick's retarded hat? It's like a bad trip of Ruby's stupid hat.
The battle music sucks. It's all happy go lucky like Diamond & Pearl, which I'm a little sick of.OH SURE. NINTENDO SHOULD TOTALLY PUT IN SOME GRIMDARK MUSIC. SOME BLACK METAL MAYBE?
I like the hat. D :Why
OH SURE. NINTENDO SHOULD TOTALLY PUT IN SOME GRIMDARK MUSIC. SOME BLACK METAL MAYBE?It's not that, I just don't like the instruments. What's wrong with real music at this point anyway? How about a guitar & bass, with some nice drums, maybe?
WhyWhy? Because it looks awesome. I can't really say it... it just looks good on her.

Yus~ Get all 16 badges, talk to Mr. Game Freak in Celadon City, and you will get GB Player! <3....Yay?
Solution: GB Player D:Eh, I can't say it's horribly accurate...sure, I'll say 90%, but some songs suffered. But point, no less.
Well, I got used to those instruments. They suit Pokemon. When I think "Pokemon music", I think of this kind of music. How? When? All the real Pokémon games had bleeps & boops, & then came gen 3 with its obnoxiously large amount of 7 games, all with blegh music IMO. I think gen 4's a step in the right direction in the music department. Now only if they could start using beautiful hand-drawn sprites...
Tough, yeah. It wouldn't be bad if they used some MORE real instruments.

Gen 3's music was downright horrible. There may have been 1 or 2 decent songs, but as a whole it's forgettable.Magma/Aqua Base has one of the most amazing bass lines in Pokemon. That's pretty much it though.

The fact that you can't max all of the stats actually allows players to be diverse and pick an EV spread that suits them. Honestly, competitive Pokemon probably wouldn't be as interesting if everyone ran around with the exact same stats.Which means something to players who research stacks of numbers to determine what is and isn't an excessive investment so that they can punch appropriate numbers into Smogon. For the rest of us, who happen to be playing the actual games, 252/252 is not diverse. The instances in which you WOULD want something different only make it more difficult to experiment. If a move set change calls for a different focus on your stats, then barring a ridiculously large berry stock you have to raise a whole new Pokemon from scratch (and that's assuming your Pokemon is not Level 100 with intent to raise EVs over 100 in a single stat, which is unlikely).
Give me the old EV system (which is actually a system of Status Experience) of the GB and GBC Generations back! ;^; (http://forum.rockmanpm.com/index.php?topic=1613.625;msg=119823)I'm very much agreed personally, but I doubt that will happen without another generational cutoff. Otherwise cross-game battles place the older games at a severe disadvantage.

(Also pokemon you used during the game would still be worthless because they'd have bad IVs/natures/moves and nothing would be able to fix that.)That is the most ridiculous load of Mamoswine crap I have ever read.
Nobody suggested "getting rid of them entirely", we are suggesting either bringing back stat experience which it replaced, or eliminating (or at least raising) the 510 cap.
If you think moves cannot be fixed you are not paying attention, given the wealth of tutors and deleters available in current games. Moves can always be overwritten, at any level, any time.
IVs and Natures are not applicable; they are decided at time of capture and never change. You can compare, as soon as they're caught, to see if you have gotten a satisfactory result, and if you haven't there is no reason to raise it throughout the game. There is no reason to level-up to check Natures and the only reason to level-up to check IVs is if you're intending to use Hidden Power or you're just a stickler about having the max, thus requiring the exact values. If you're only after something reasonably good, you can check at a low level. Even your Level 5 starter in the R/B/Y IV system (which is half the range of current games) shows some difference in final stats from IVs. IV-checking was being done long before the GBA generation hit, and was not in any way "hardcore tournament player" exclusive. Even regular gaming magazines noted the difference in freshly captured same-level Pokemon and recommended comparing in order to get the best. That was back when Stadium was new.
Is that how they don't wind up the same with Rare Candies? [tornado fang] that. Grinding blows. I'd rather just use Rare Candies after the Elite Four.

It's kind of hard to go back once you've started fiddling with EVs and [parasitic bomb]. At least for me. I dunno, I feel bad not going to the effort to make my pokemon awesome. It's stupid, yeah, and I know it's stupid, but I still can't help it. It's like hoarding items in RPGs or something.I disagree. Moves are meant to be fiddled with, hence why they're shown to you. EVs are meant to add a "random" factor to make each individual Pokémon unique. They're to add realism, not to be abused. Besides, it would bother me a whole lot more to not love each of my Pokémon for who they are. I like naming them all, using what species I like, & growing attached to them all. I mean, hell, I still have my original team I used to beat the Elite Four the first time. Oh Poliwrath my friend Chris traded me, how well you served me.
And anyway, people who know about EVs tend to know more about other aspects of pokemon [parasitic bomb]. Helps avoid battles against pokemon with like 3 different water moves or whatever, 'cause those really aren't all that fun.
I could argue that not bothering to EV train your pokemon shows that you obviously don't care that much about them, because you're not willing to put in the effort to make them the best they can be. But maybe I won't, because arguing over who cares more about their pokemon is silly. No [tornado fang]ing way. They'd much prefer to be given candy. I mean, it's their reward for all their hard work getting to Cinnibar/Elite Four. You sound like BLUE. You gotta love your Pokémon, man. It's not about who wins & who loses; it's about having a good time.
And, well, regardless of what EVs were meant to do, what they do is increase stats, and that's what I'm going to use them for. Even if I could forget how they worked, I wouldn't, because I like knowing how the game operates. The more I know, the better I can play. Not playing at my best is performing a disservice to whoever I'm up against. So you grind against Zubats all day long? How is this fun? I mean, lots of people won't play X6 because of the tediousness of rescuing all the reploids, but at least even then the information is in front of you.
Somehow I doubt we're ever going to agree on this. No, because you're a cheater that uses guides. Memorize all the EVs & manipulate them & we'll talk about legitimacy.

Their happiness goes up when I give them vitamins!
It's cool, it only takes like an hour. It's quicker than grinding them up to a level they'll evolve at sometimes.Only an hour? Boy, your time must be pretty easily spent to play Pokémon for an hour straight & not even be doing anything interesting. As for grinding, being quicker than it is not a good measure of quickness. Grinding sucks too. Hence my love of Rare Candies.
Bidoof's 1 HP. Geodude's 1 defence. Gastly's 1 special attack. Tentacool's 1 special defence. Starly's 1 speed. All available at very low levels, all in very great quantities. (1+4 for a power item)x2 for pokerus means 10 EVs per kill, so go in with max PPs, wait until I'm 15 PP down, and then remove the power item and hit one more guy, mission accomplished. You remind me of those pinoys that ruin Ragnarok by knowing everything about everything.
Attack's a little harder, but that just means I use a power bracer while training another stat. Or take advantage of doduo if it's swarming. Doesn't swarm too often though. Life's tough.
Memorising what EVs every pokemon gives would be pretty hard, but you don't really need to. Just enough of them.
The move Return pretty much nullifies your argument. I should also note that all of my pokes on my team are Ev trained and their happiness is maxed out.Because in-game happiness is a poor indicator. It's always been a constant theme in Pokémon that too much fighting & no play makes Pokémon abhor their trainer, regardless of how you can get to happiness either way.
If it's cheating, then how do you explain the existence of the Effort Ribbon? The Macho Brace and Power Items would also like a word with you.Well, the ribbons are there for women in the first place, so I have no idea what any of them are.
...again, though, why do you expect sprites from a Game Card to return your affection?
We should all chip in to get Keno a copy of Love Plus so he doesn't need to seek love from pokemon.Of course they don't love me back, but that doesn't mean I don't love my beloved Char. Not everyone that has a Tamagotchi thinks it's in love with them.
Some people do have fun doing that kind of calculation and planning. Others just enjoy ripping through the game without any other factoring.I like calculation & planning, don't get me wrong. I just do my calculation with numbers I can see & my planning with Pokémon & move set choices.

You remind me of those pinoys that ruin Ragnarok by knowing everything about everything. That's not knowing everything, nor does it ruin Pokemon for people who like to play casually. All he showed was that it's easy to find a Pokemon that raises EVs for a certain stat early on in the game.
Because in-game happiness is a poor indicator. It's always been a constant theme in Pokémon that too much fighting & no play makes Pokémon abhor their trainer, regardless of how you can get to happiness either way.

While I can agree that grinding can get tedious, you have to remember that just flat out using rare candies on a Pokemon is actually worse than grinding for a particular stat. Pokemon is the sort of game that you get back the effort that you put in to it. I'd rather spend that hour slaying Zubats or whatever to bring my Pokemon to the top of its game then let it suffer stat wise because it's faster.I thought that Rare Candies worked the same as leveling in 1st gen.
Uh, I think he means the prize ribbons and not necessarily the ribbons that are worn in hair. Prize ribbons are unisex, and don't necessarily mean that they're for women.I know. It's a gameplay aspect added for people that wanted to do something other than battle. Women.
Also, if you really wanted to know how EVs and IVs work, it's not hard to just Google it. I'm sure there's a few hundred websites that detail just how these numbers work and how you can manipulate them.I know how they work, just not specifically.
Understanding what's going on doesn't ruin the game, it makes it better. If I wanted a game where I couldn't even tell why the winner came first I'd just play Mario Party or something.Mario Party isn't like everybody makes it seem. You can totally manipulate the dice rolls, & a lot of planning & point of no returns come into play.
So. About those egg moves.Egg moves are not a prerequisite on every Pokemon. Sometimes they are useful and sometimes they are not. Some Pokemon have none at all.
Yeah.
It's actually worse than that. You only get 127 bonus points to distribute among your attributes, so if you accidentally kill something that gives you EVs in the wrong stat, you permanently screw yourself. And the game doesn't [tornado fang]ing tell you ANYTHING about this. This is exactly my point. You're pretty much guaranteed to get the wrong EVs in normal gameplay, therefore, Pokemon used in gameplay are worthless unless you berry the hell out of them. It shouldn't be that way. If you were negligent in IVs/Nature, fine, that's your own problem. But EVs are nearly impossible to work around.
But that gets me started on how shitty I think the lack of legacy in 3rd generation was. Why was it so hard to handle it that time around?Because of the change in how the "randomization" as you put it was handled.
Personally, I like the EV system since it at least gives non legendary pokes a chance at taking on the Legendaries without struggling like they should. Plus it adds a layer of complexity that the game normally wouldn't have before. The EV system has nothing to do with that, as legendaries can be EV-trained just the same. That and numerous legends were weakened in the shift from 1st to 2nd generation. Specifically, all three of the birds and Mewtwo. Everyone thinks Arceus is so big and bad, but the truth is Mewtwo would still surpass him if his Special Defense hadn't been slaughtered. And that's ignoring R/B/Y Amnesia physics. There is nothing more evil than a first-gen Mewtwo.
It's really fun to take out an all legendary with an EV trained team. The look on the other guy's face is priceless.
Their happiness goes up when I give them vitamins!Yeah, but vitamins won't get you more than 100 EVs, so you're actually helping Keno's point there. Whatever it is. >.>
x2 for pokerusI hate Pokerus. I have better things to do than harvest stealthy-but-stupid single celled organisms amongst my Pokemon.
Understanding what's going on doesn't ruin the game, it makes it better.Do yourself a favor and don't read too many guides about X5.
I thought that Rare Candies worked the same as leveling in 1st gen.Nope. In 1st and 2nd gen you have stat experience, which basically plays the role that EVs do in 3rd gen and on. Except the stat experience lacked a total cap.
I'm playing Crystal right now. How do they work in that? Each stat has its own "invisible" experience. Whenever one of your Pokemon defeats an opponent, all of its stats gain experience equal to the base stats (that is, the strengths of a Pokemon's species) of the opponent. Each stat can gain a maximum of 65,535 experience. Vitamins can get you up to 25,600 experience in a single stat.
I like EVs. They lemme train multiple PokeMon at once instead of having to spend weeks trying to get my ideal team up to level 100.You realize EVs are irrelevant to level?

it will be the best Pokemon movie ever.I was thinking more along the lines of if they had an evil Misty to bitchslap him.

I'm conflicted as to get which one first...
Though I should get the other version in the distant future...
Decisions, decisions...
Why get one when you can get both? That's what I plan to do. 8DI'm going to do this as well.

Not sure how bad it is trying to get one in DPPt...
Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions each carry a suggested retail price of $39.99.
okémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions return players to the scenic Johto region first introduced in the popular Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver Version games for the portable Game Boy™ system a decade ago.
Just went and bought the game in full today at Nintendo World. I'll be getting it and my Lugia figure as soon as it comes out.
ARGHI would recommend Heart Gold since most of my friends, and myself included, are getting Soul Silver but it's your choice.
Still conflicted to get which one first. >_<
I don't nickname anything, I am lame. :CJoin the club.
Also, I named my rival Gypsy.... Perfect. 8D
=D
I don't like naming things. Because I always regret it later.Indeed, that's what I think too.
So I just go with the default.

Ok so I picked my up yesterday. Quickly beat Inside Bowser story and booted up my Silver copy. It froze twice on the intro screen. I blew into my DS and it hasn't froze since. should I be worried and has anyone else had a problem with their copy. On a side note I like the Fact that the DS cart is black for silver. Did they do something different for gold?

I IS HAPPY!
Why the hell would you ever use Parasect? It's a damn monster. Wait, no, that's every pokemon.Normally I want a Bellsprout...but I wanted something different, so I thought "I'll go with Oddish!" but I caught a Paras instead and thought "Never raised one of them, I wonder what it's like..."
It's an evil damn monster.
It must be there so that the Poke-walker can detect it due to the cart's special innings, since normal wireless doesn't seem to cut it for the poke-walkers own wireless connection.Pokewalker works via infrared link in the cartridge (so it works with a DSi even if you left communications off), which is why the cartridge casing is translucent black. Needs line of sight to work. Basically, it's the same thing as on the GBC, 'cept in the cart instead of on the system.
I [tornado fang]ing hate all of you playing either of these games right now, especially those of you with Soul Silver. XDDon't hate the player, hate the crack team. :V Or, the [Bumpity-Boom!] that decided to put it on the shelves early.

Heh I should ask Quickie to draw a picture of you being attacked by Magneton. Good old Magnet Man. Never let me down.
Normally I want a Bellsprout...but I wanted something different, so I thought "I'll go with Oddish!" but I caught a Paras instead and thought "Never raised one of them, I wonder what it's like..."A 100% accurate sleep inducer is never a bad thing, especially for captures. The fact that it now gets a water immunity/recovery (Effect Spore is worthless if you're going to Spore on the first turn anyway) just makes it more awesome.
I haven't regretted it yet. :V
Sometimes it's easier to have more than one DS, especially with the model ('Ol Plain, Lite, and DSi).
Sometimes it's easier to have more than one DS, especially with the model ('Ol Plain, Lite, and DSi).Good thing I'm getting mine next week, considering how there's only one person I know in my school that has Heart Gold. X( Seriously why is everyone getting Soul Silver!
I guess I can do it. If you don't have that many pokemon to transfer.
Diamond can trade with the new games, right? Wait, of course it can. Be silly if it couldn't.
I'm not doing anything else right now, I guess. Just lemme get something to eat first.
I got a male Chikorita.Wait I thought you only had a 12.5% of getting a female starter pokemon anyway.
I am happy. XD
Also, currently playing HG, and trading with my Pearl to get all 3 starters.
I have a question though.
Where is the Mystery Gift option? I don't see it. ._.
Good thing I'm getting mine next week, considering how there's only one person I know in my school that has Heart Gold. X( Seriously why is everyone getting Soul Silver!Between Lugia, Ninetales, and Skarmory, you really need to ask that?
Between Lugia, Ninetales, and Skarmory, you really need to ask that?I know, I mean that's why I got it, but the fact it there's too many Soul Silvers in the ratio.
Between Lugia, Ninetales, and Skarmory, you really need to ask that?
I kinda do. =/Nope. But Lugia is easier to get to, since you don't have to catch a trio first, and you can get to it sooner in Soul Silver.
Wut, is Lugia version-exclusive or something?
I kinda do. =/No but you can get Lugia sooner in Silver.
Wut, is Lugia version-exclusive or something?
No but you can get Lugia sooner in Silver.
Between Lugia, Ninetales, and Skarmory, you really need to ask that?
why don't you just not name them
No but you can get Lugia sooner in Silver.I don't know, I've won that thing with a level 13 Pinsir, and a level 18 Weedle.
Anyway does anyone have any tips on winning the bug catching contest because no matter what kind of pokemon I catch I lose.
I dunno if, for legendaries, I should go with naming them after what they're based on (which would mean, if the end, I'd have 4 Golems) or if I should just go with my name by type theme.Even though I don't often do the nickname thing, I don't see the point of nicknaming most legendaries, since most (not all) of them are allegedly one of a kind according to the story.
I don't know, I've won that thing with a level 13 Pinsir, and a level 18 Weedle.I had a Level 14 Scyther and lost. O:<
I have no idea how it determines if you're the best catch, I just luck out.
But I've gotten nothing but Sun Stones when I need a god damn Water Stone.
Hey would anyone be willing to trade me a pokemon holding a fire stone, I need it for my Vulpix and since I won't get my DSi until next Sunday I'm a bit stuck.I'm not sure when I'll next be online since Mrs. Shell expects me to be painting most of the day Sunday. But I'll gladly trade you one off of my Diamond cart.
Well, just looked up on Bulbapedia, and it seems HG/SS have gone from just Sun Stones to any random evolution stone, as first prize.Serebii says it too, though since I've never won one I can't say if it's true. Though it could be only after you get the national dex.
I can't confirm that for myself though, as I've just been getting Sun Stones the only two times I've succeeded.
I'm not sure when I'll next be online since Mrs. Shell expects me to be painting most of the day Sunday. But I'll gladly trade you one off of my Diamond cart. Thanks and if you can get a Thunder stone that be great too.
Serebii says it too, though since I've never won one I can't say if it's true. Though it could be only after you get the national dex.Now you're just being greedy. =P
Thanks and if you can get a Thunder stone that be great too.
Also with bug catching, if you weaken that pokemon too low it'll subtract from your points, the collective stats + remaining health = total points. That really, REALLY bites. The more powerful Pokemon have such a low capture rate that you're probably better off barely scratching the Level 18 Weedles and what-have-you and capturing them.
Among some other things, that's why just catching level 14 Scyther can't help ya, if you weakened 'em to a near fraction of their health.
I caught the level 18 weedle without denting it and won with over 300 points, so yeah, if you're just planning on winning, better off trying your luck at the "no dent" method on a Weedle/Caterpie.What about Metapod/Kakuna?
This is why I hate the current EV system.Dude I hate it too, I always lose to my friends rabid Eevees! Now he's trying to raise some different pokemon and 2 of them are ones I would raise and one I was thinking of raising.
Well, there's always fixed-level battles with my in-game 'mans. 'course, that'll require axing my spikey-eared Pichu...
So they say. However, to my knowledge, the Azure Flute event was never officially released, and thus the only "regular" Arceus out there are either glitched (from Japan) or hacked.Yeah that's kinda what I meant. You know Serebii never fixed that thing where you can find wild Beautifly in Pearl at Route 224.
Are the E4 stronger in the remake..I remember beating the whole gang with my Typhlosion only
When you speak of grinding, you have to do so in great detail, or else we're all lost as to what you mean.
This is RPM after all.
Beat Bugsy, and Rival.
Sweet! Wait where though? I took him down and I still have to reset to use the walker
Also, Coffee looks SO HAPPY in the Pokewalker! XDCoffee? You have a pokemon named after my power source?
I think he was mentioned what he had just done......while arrogantly wiggling his eyebrows. [eyebrow]SHHH! Don't have to tell him that! [eyebrow]
When you speak of grinding, you have to do so in great detail, or else we're all lost as to what you mean.BAH! I so mean m... *shot*
This is RPM after all.
Well...'mans and levels don't tell you all that much, as I've known the early Gym Leaders to be a lot tougher thanks to powered up TM moves. Take for example, Bugsy, there is NO COMPARISON between Fury Cutter and U-Turn.

That said, Morty loathed my Pokewalker. Scrappy Kangaskahn, FTW. 8)
Ask Shell, he's the one that gave it to me.I try to minimize my Pokesav cloning due to Rein being a pain in the ass (there are two copies of your save file, current and backup, and they alternate; Rein can only ever find one). You just caught me at the right time.
*looks at my lv. 100 movie Arceus*

Considering this is possibly the best non-spinoff Pokemon game, yes.
Coffee got a lot of walking in today with me!Which pokemon is Coffee anyway?
Which pokemon is Coffee anyway?
LoL, now think about this, young one. Judging by the sound of the name, and imagining me yelling it out, what Pokemon does it sound like?Okay now I get it, I always thought that way too.
So what's the best game including spinoffs, then?
Personally, for best spinoff I'd go with Colosseum. It uses the core gameplay mechanics, but with additions that emphasize the need to raise your critters rather than simply let them rot in the PC. Also features pretty much the only hero of the RPGs who can be taken remotely seriously (read: is not a 10-year-old n00b who upstages all the experienced trainers).
Not too far in the game, I just got through Ilex(?) forest and on the route that takes you to Goldenrod.
My team consists of:
Quilava - 16
Pidgey - 15
Mareep - 14/15 maybe
Ekans - 12
Wooper - 11
Togepi - 11
Looking for a Haunter.
The whole Team Rocket disguise antic more than makes up for that, I'd say.No training lv 1 mans' before your 8th badge is way more tedious trust me, especially when one of them is a Smoochum since it's only Female so no inherited attacks unless you trained a Alakazam or traded a pokemon with a whole lot of special attacks that a Smoochum can learn, which I didn't.
Love the fact that you actually get to fight a Double Battle with Lance, as well (of course, you just have to stay alive and his Dragonite will [twin slasher] everyone, but I tried to do my part anyway).
So anyways, I skipped Mount Mortar initially, so now I'm exploring it and using the time to level up my Extremespeed Dratini. Training a Lv. 15 'man after 8 badges is quite tedious. After that, it's off to Whirl Islands.
And I gotta say, I am loving having a starter with Lava Plume. 8)
Why not just trade them to DPP and train them there? Surely that's less time consuming.I just got my DSi yesterday. :\ Maybe I'll try that since I'm not going to EV train that party.
Pyreheart Is Typhosion, or maybe Cyndaquil
Samurific Uh Sneasle, Scizor, or Gallade?
Wavewoman I'm going to guess Lapras
Siverhawk I'm going to guess either Skarmory, some other flying type or Tyranitar
Tolls No idea so I'm going to guess some electric type
Creepy Tyranitar, Gengar, or some ghost type?
Can you tell me which ones are correct...or at least which one was Tyranitar? -u-'
As for Tolls it could be his Snolax since he blocks your wayPerhaps, though by that logic it could also be a Sudowoodo.
EDIT: Wait is Silverhawk Lugia?
BINGO. Bravo, Young One! 4 out of 6.lol Ernest Hemingway
As for Tolls, think of a famous book title! XD
lol Ernest Hemingway
Bronzong!
LoL, nope! But, the clue is indeed in the title! XD
Ho-Oh?
Uh Foretress, Chimecho? And you didn't answer my question abour Splashwoman, I mean I named every single feminine looking water type out there unless you mean Starmie or maybe even Jynx I mean it's not a water type but hey.
Uh Victreebel for tolls?
What would Chansey have to do with bells?Dunno.
Well then I'll give you credit for it anyway! You got 6 out of 6, Sakura. You WIN! XDYay! Really these are definetly not the pokemon I would expect you to use, but then again not everyone is like me since I would use a lot of mainstream pokemon I think. Blaziken, Salamence, Absol, Lucario, Roserade, Feraligater, Jynx and Metagross are pokemon I would use.
Are the first two gyms supposed to be easy?Of course I mean Bug types are the weakest types ever and Flying types are easy as long as you didn't pick Chikorita.
Are the first two gyms supposed to be easy?Yeah, they are. I blew through 'em fast enough. Unfortunately, since I decided to level everyone else up, that [sonic slicer] Whitney stomped/rollouted my ass 3-4 times before I made her cry.
Yay! Really these are definetly not the pokemon I would expect you to use, but then again not everyone is like me since I would use a lot of mainstream pokemon I think. Blaziken, Salamence, Absol, Lucario, Roserade, Feraligater, Jynx and Metagross are pokemon I would use.
I'm currently breeding the hell out of the Pokemon I have so I can trade with my Platinum. I have most of my Fire (including six Infernapes and five Blazikens, am I crazy or something? o//////o) and Water Pokemon transferred over. However, I still have a lot of Lv. 100 Pokemon to trade over it's not funny.Hey at least you didn't try to breed 2 and a half box fulls of Eevees or so for the rabid Eevee team on EV steroids my friend uses. Seriously he's good at EVing pokemon I mean he EVed a new non Eevee team in no time, but then again he had a Macho Brace. :\
Didn't Pokémon Hunter J die?Silly man, nobody dies in the pokemon anime. It's a kid's show.
Simple, they want you to hide the fact that the point of the plot fell off a cliff when Misty was swapped out for May and her obnoxious little brother, Flanderized Brock, and made Ash switch the hat he clearly stated he would NEVER give up and was willing to get killed by a wild pokemon (Mankey/Primeape) to get it back.Yeah that's probably it.
Also, am I the only one, who just can't be bothered to play this? I mean, I did get hyped up and [parasitic bomb]... but in the end, I just lack the drive to play this(or to even finish Platinum).
Silly man, nobody dies in the pokemon anime. It's a kid's show.Ummm...
You could try playing against people. I find that a lot more interesting than the AI.
Ummm...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9344MWUVNws
Oh yes. I remember once playing some of the previous Pokeyman games with my friend. [parasitic bomb] was so cASH.
AND the death of AiTwo. Let's not forget about that eh?AND those scientists guys, who cloned Mewtwo for Giovanni. They are also kind of dead.
I don't know guys, I think they could have survived that.Yeah for all we know they could have used stealth emergency escape pods. -_-
AND the death of AiTwo. Let's not forget about that eh?I assume Ai is Amber's japanese name? Three 'mans died with her, as well.
Does Celebi count even though it came back to life?
Oh yes. I remember once playing some of the previous Pokeyman games with my friend. [parasitic bomb] was so cASH.
Now what :/
....Wow, I was just trying to be funny and everyone points out every single insinuated and actual death in the series....And to think we're not even done yet:
I would assume so, since nothing else would've brought it back it seemed. If immediate revival counts, then Ash gets multiple entries. At least two that I recall (Mew/Mewtwo crossfire and taking leave of his body in Lavender Town).
GB Sounds + Rematches with Gym Leaders = GRINDING LIKE [tornado fang]Can't argue with that one. I expect much grinding after I've cleared the game.
Am I the only one who NEVER uses the bike because I want to see my Pokemon following me at all times. Not in the least. 8) I may axe the bike entirely from my shortcuts once I get GB Sound (Dowsing gets the touch icon). All I can say is, thank God the running shoes have an on/off switch instead of having to hold B the entire game.
Not in the least. 8) I may axe the bike entirely from my shortcuts once I get GB Sound (Dowsing gets the touch icon).
Who would ever turn off the Running Shoes?
I got both, still remember the D pad + A (or was it B?) trick?
So does anyone have advice on catching the two other than using mean look and taunt to keep them from running/roaring?You mean that actually works? I'd assumed they possessed a magical ability to run in spite of Mean Look, seeings how I've already known the 4th-gen roaming 'mans to run away in their sleep.
[tornado fang]ing Yellow Forest. This [parasitic bomb] is further attempt to make people walk more by making the Pikachus people actually care about getting impossibly hard to get!It is ridiculous, isn't it? Something like a 2 or 3 percent chance of getting one of the Pikachus that has the special moves, and even that's only after an insane number of steps.
[tornado fang]ing Yellow Forest. This [parasitic bomb] is further attempt to make people walk more by making the Pikachus people actually care about getting impossibly hard to get!
Hey does anyone have an idea what would be better a Jynx with all Special Attacks or a Mamoswine with Rest, Sleep Talk, Avalanche, Earthquake and low speed or any combination of attacks?
FOR THE FLY AND SURF
Therefore your statement is invalid. :P
those damn Pikachu will never be mine will they
FOR POSTERITY, THAT'S WHAT
I prefer that Jynx.
Jynx dies way too easily. She's like Porygon-Z, except even more fragile, and less killy. Mamoswine is way cooler. 130 base attack and STAB Earthquake/Ice Shard, yeeeeeeeeees.Okay so no one knows.
Hey does anyone have an idea what would be better a Jynx with all Special Attacks or a Mamoswine with Rest, Sleep Talk, Avalanche, Earthquake and low speed or any combination of attacks?"Better" depends on what exactly you're trying to do.
Okay, I need help thinking of nicknames for some of my pokemon. I named my Feraligatr Gatorzilla, but seriously, it needs a better name >_>, and then there's my Murkrow (female btw) which I have absolutely no idea how to name. You think you got it bad? My Cyndaquil has the shittiest name in existence (Pyroburn), And I didn't even bother giving my Pidgey a nickname. :|
I burned about 1,500 watts in Yellow Forest yesterday. The sad thing is, having encountered 6 or more rare Pikachus (you can tell by how many steps grass-chases it takes to find them, thankfully), I caught only 2.
I'd be amazed that you GOT your first rare Pikachu down to one bar of HP, considering my luck. Every single Pikachu that I missed was due to a Critical Hit at half health. Which got *REALLY* old after the fourth time. O:<For me it was just the opposite, I wanted to practice on regular pikachu's, since I normaly don't get 10,000 steps anyway, but they just run away if I tried my hit and evade tactic even once.
You think you got it bad? My Cyndaquil has the shittiest name in existence (Pyroburn), And I didn't even bother giving my Pidgey a nickname. :|My Cyndaquil is Dante. The other permanent part of my team, Shinx, is Vergil.
My Cyndaquil is Dante. The other permanent part of my team, Shinx, is Vergil.Ooh, names!
Posted on: April 09, 2010, 01:24:59Heck no. EXCELSIOR!
Ok, I just got a metal coat from the pokeathlon and my scyther is currently level 31, is there ANY reason I shouldn't want to evolve him right now?
Not unless Wing Attack, Air Slash, and Vacuum Wave mean anything to you. And really, they shouldn't.If you ask me, Scizor should have less spezial attack instead of less speed.
Fun fact about Scyther/Scizor, the base stat total does not actually increase. Scizor just has the obviously better typing, and re-arranged stats for less speed and more attack and defense.

LoL at that first video!
dubbed FEAR by those who prefer Rattata
Rattata is in the top percentage? :3As far as the Endeavor abuse goes, yeah. But that tactic period is not in the top percentage because passive damage wrecks it (and Sandstorm/Hail/Stealth Rock/Spikes are everywhere in "standard" competition). It's also obvious, because there's nothing else an unevolved 'man 80 levels lower than you is going to do, and it's possibly setup bait.
So, has anyone tried this?It totally works. I just got an Arceus. :D
http://community.livejournal.com/pokewifi/2167924.html
EDIT: How cheap... You can literally get any pokemon you desire that is listed on the website.
Python... And I swore to never touch it again! ;O;Come join the Dark Side! [eyebrow]
But... I am SO very tempted to try this...
Is that so bad? You could just catch/breed most pokemon anyway. All it really helps with is possibly skipping breeding for good IVs/egg moves, which is tremendously unfun, and obtaining event pokemon, which shouldn't be so hard to get anyway.Since you can't really get event pokemon anymore, anyways, I guess it would be okay. Plus, you got a point on the pokemon, but my well-trained, in-game, non-cheap/cheat/fake pokemon can certainly beat them.... 8D
He has one already, maybe I'll change Ice Fang for Blizzard, but that won't stop him getting OHKOd by Thunder (Fang) -___-Ice Punch D:
His trainer name is Gold.
4684 1135 9203 is mine. My team consists of 2 lvl. 80s, 1 lvl 50, and 1 lvl 20. If you go thru my top two, I'm screwed, but I doubt it. :D
Got my entire team in Soul Silver to level 100. Also, over 100 hours of game play. [tornado fang] yeah. :v'>.>
Now to start Heart Gold.
I have a habit of hitting buttons when throwing a pokeball. Lately I have been popping in the Konami code for no apparent reason. Does anyone else have any habits when throwing and trying to catch a pokemon?
Only this. (http://www.vgcats.com/super/?strip_id=8)
Down+B for life.
Is there no one who wants to try? I hoped someone will try before soon. If my team lacks or is weak somewhere, the week I have before I challenge Hypershell is enough to at least train 1 or extreme case, 2 pokemon.
UU? That stands for underused, right? If I can barely fight you with my Standard, what makes you think I'll have any chance with the underused category?
Oohhhh, hack or AR, nevermind, cheating is not my thing unles its the only way to get certain pokemon up to that point.
lol it's not cheated I got over 207 hours Playtime also about 50 Entry's at the Liga and I'm right playing just now and 58 Left ^^He is talking about having different character sprites during online play.
Meowth (ThatsRight)
Spinda (Pedobear)
Suicune (IceGerbil)
Lugia (Seagull)
Ho-oh (Chicken)
Ampharos (WoolyBully)
Goldeen (UseSplash)

Cubone (Cuboner...I'm so clever)
Teddiursa (Godless)
Jynx (Creepy O..O)
Staryu (Patrick)
Tangela (HentaiBait)

Grimer (Grimes Jr... Simpsons reference FTW?)

Lickilicky (Lick meee!)
Butterfree (Margarine... ba-dum pish!)
Farfetch'd (Absur'd)
Kingler (Mr. Krabs... why do I have two Spongebob refrences in one game?!)
Pachurisu (Poserchu.... what? He is!)
Hypno (Chocephant...well, he was)
And, my personal favorite
Raticate (RATATATATA)
Akamaru, winning by defalts sucks even more than losing, so I want a re-do altho I was sucking bad. XDWhenever you want to, I'll be ready. Just message me if when you want the rematch.
Yeah I would only use Lagging Tail for my Mamoswine since I'm going to teach it Avalanch although I'm already planning it to have a Brave Nature.
Yeah I would only use Lagging Tail for my Mamoswine since I'm going to teach it Avalanch although I'm already planning it to have a Brave Nature.
Curse is a far better option; Avalanche will more than likely be going last, so you may as well take advantage of it!As I said before I already plan for it to be very slow without a lagging tail and it's going to be my high HP meat sheild so I'm going to teach it Rest and give it Leftovers.

Um, how is it bad luck? o.o;
You can, you know, unevolve it to lv100 and do things with it. ^^
I'm gonna have to try and get a shiny Lugia, Ho-oh and/or Mewtwo then. >U<
Never mind... it's not worth it. >.<Not to mention the chances of even getting one is roughly 1 in 8000 anyway, I mean my friend tried to get a shinky Kyogre and gave up after the first day.
Even if I would find a legally-caught shiny legendary (either on the field or from events), thanks to the ways of internets and hacking, people won't believe it to be a legally-caught shiny, because many hackers like to make legendary Pokemon shiny with cheating or tools, and they get called cheaters.
That's not a good thing for someone who actually catches Pokemon legally. >^<
What are you talking about? Double? What?Double post. I didn't even know that was possible.
What are you talking about? Double? What?Double post. Sakura did it, probably by accident. Normally you can't double post, but some people forget sometimes or its a new page. Its not like you can't, but it isn't recommended. If you do it by accident, there is always the Double Merge button.
Is the Johto league in Indigo Plateau?
I know that's where the Kanto league is, but I don't see a place where the Johto league might be.
Ice is resistant is GrassIce is resistant to Ice and Ice only. Grass does normal damage.
By the way, what are your guy's teams? Do you have more than one?
Jhoto Leauge =/= Kanto Leauge.
They share the same Indigo Plateau, because both of the regions are basically linked together, making it one of the largest regions in the Pokemon series in my book.
There is no Johto League or Kanto League, they're both one and the same, how else do you explain Lance, Bruno, and Koga who are from Kanto? So why don't they share the same Elite Four?
Ice is resistant to Ice and Ice only. Grass does normal damage.
Ice doesn't resist grass. Resists Ice, weak to Fire/Fighting/Steel/Rock. That's it.That's my Solaris... 8D
So why don't they share the same Elite Four?
Double post. Sakura did it, probably by accident. Normally you can't double post, but some people forget sometimes or its a new page. Its not like you can't, but it isn't recommended. If you do it by accident, there is always the Double Merge button.Oops sorry 'bout that. Well after about 6 or so Absols I finally got the right one.
Yeaa, that's why I don't even bother with them shiny pokemon, being honest or not, your going to get told that you hacked, if you get a legit shiny, then its a bounus in my book.If you have only one people will admire you; it's when half your team is shiny that they start raising eyebrows.
And it is done.
Man, it's just as awesome as I remembered...
Last battle was my Noctowl vs Red's Snorlax.
Noctowl's Fly cut Snorlax's HP to 1, Snorlax KO (2 KO really) Noctowl with Blizzard, and Hail KO Snorlax.
Man, that was awesome. XD
I'm just curious, what level were your Pokemon at? I'm still two badges away from being able to challenge Red in HG (I transferred all my Lv. 100s from DPPt to SS) But I'm working at getting my team up to Lv. 75 before I even think of challenging him.Oh, they are all lvl90. 8D
Oh, they are all lvl90. 8DI want to try what my friend Will did, EV train my pokemon and fight him in my 60s.
I just like to be fully prepared. XD
Oh, they are all lvl90. 8DThats overly prepared... o~O Wait, no I CHALLENGE YOU!
I just like to be fully prepared. XD
I would love to, but I need a wireless connection.NOOOOO!
And currently, that's at Starbucks. -u-'
I also challenge Hypershell, but he seems uninterested... :'((http://home.comcast.net/~Anguirus/holdit.gif)
Oh, they are all lvl90. 8D
I just like to be fully prepared. XD
I dunno. I caught Lugia in my first Heavy Ball, myself. Quite surprising.I think it took only about 5 ultra balls for me when I did it the second time, because I forgot to save, and I had lv 30 pokemon. :\
Ho-oh, on the other hand, was a royal pain.
A Rattata?!THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD BE BETTER IS A MAGIKARP. 8D
WHAT A STEAL
Why a Ratata?
RIVAL HARRY WANTS TO TRADE 8U
Hell no.
Magikarp aren't in the TOP PERCENTAGE.
Also Jericho, yes I am serious.
Because Rattata are in the top percentage. And I'll call all of you guys to tell you about how awesome it is.(http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/7572/1273051339101.jpg)
Top percentage?

That "FEAR" [parasitic bomb]?
You gay, boy? None of that FEAR garbage. Tail whip ONLY.
GOD TIER.
CLEARLY MY TYPLOSHION HAS ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION
...
I already have a hatched Cyndaquil...
>_>
<_<
Somehow I doubt you want a Rattata.
Somehow I doubt you want a Rattata.
It wouldn't surprise me if he did.
FINALLY GOT AN EGG
Wrong one? You should have warned me there would be Ubers...I had no chance, yet was able to take down two at least. 8D
Okay so I was hatching some Torchics trying to get a Adamant natured one and I had 4 eggs. The first 2 didn't have the right nature and the 4th was Adamant but what about the third?FFFFFFFFFFFF A BREEDED SHINY
[spoiler](http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd124/sakuraleic/0510001644.jpg)
And it had better stats than the 4th.[/spoiler]
FFFFFFFFFFFF A BREEDED SHINY
I'M IN TOTAL ENVY HERE *o*
EDIT: Forgot to post my final team that took care of the E4 on Soul Silver.
Lvl50 Meganium (M, Bashful)
Lvl50 Noctowl (M, Modest)
Lvl50 Golem (F, Serious)
Lvl51 Ampharos (M, Hardy)
Lvl51 Gyarados (M, Hardy)
Lvl51 Ninetales (F, Timid)
Says the guy who used Ttar and Dragonite against a UU team.In my defense, I have no excuses. Although, you usually win, so it doesn't really matter.
Someone do me a favor and explain this EV/IV [parasitic bomb] and Nature [parasitic bomb] to me in terms that I can understand and why it is so important.
Speaking of IVs, my legendaries got some really bad luck with IVs. All of them have some quite bad IVs, Zapdos is the only one with decent ones and yet he gets like <5 IVs in everything defensive =/Yeah some of my pokemons IV so far are weird too. Most of them are attack, which is great except for my Modest Budew. The Calm Budew, Modest female Ralts, and Adamant Beldum all have HP boosting IVs. And apparently my shiny Adamant Torchic is the only one with a 'relatively superior' IV stat in Special Attack acoording to that dude in the Battle Tower.
I find it hilariously ironic that pretty much everybody who plays PokeMon competitively shoots for the same individual values, 31s all around.
If everybody's going for 31 IVs in Speed and whatever attacking/defending stat(s) your PokeMon uses, then where's the individuality?
There are better ways to be an individual. Different team composition, different movesets, different EV spreads, different items, they all do a better job than having a suboptimal set of randomly generated numbers.Yeah that's why I'm going to EV train 2 Budews and 2 Beldums to compare thier stats.
You're one of those guys who takes skill focus in basket weaving, eh?
But I want to turn Metagross and Mammoswine into defense tanks since Metagross has high Defense and Mammoswine has high HP, although I'm not sure that's a good plan since Mammoswine has low Defense and Special Defense.
I see that's something I forgot to consider, and what's all the UU and UO stuff that you and Hypershell talk about when regarding Garchomp and other pokemon?
Some are completely outmatched by others that can do what they do but better no matter how hard you try though. Hell, for example, no matter how good your strategy may be or how much effort you put into breeding it there is just no way you'll ever be able to make Luvdisc anything even 10000km close to passable. (Ok, that's NU but you get the point)Yeah that's true, I'll never use a pokemon that helpless. Another thing that site's move set generator is so weird.
Well, I've been trying to play 'catch up' and am now at the Lake of Rage and trying to catch to Red Gyrados. Which Pokeball should I use?Personally...
Well, I've been trying to play 'catch up' and am now at the Lake of Rage and trying to catch to Red Gyrados. Which Pokeball should I use?
Well, it seems Akamaru has been breeding Hydro Pump on Salamence... *makes note*No! Damn! My poke rival learned a trump card of mine! >w<
(Yes, Bagon learns Hydro Pump through breeding.)
Says the guy who used Ttar and Dragonite against a UU team.In all honesty, I truly feel that Single Battling tiers mean jack in Doubles. Case in point: Wobuffet. Further case in point: I may have taken an Uber against 'maru, but it was paired with an NU.
So I have to ask: am I a horrible person?Yes. Because if you're actually a good Double battler, bringing down an all-Uber team is pretty simple. They're usually assembled by people who have no clue what they're doing and as such relatively simple to beat. I once brought down a Dialga by having Rotom para-fusion it to death.
Honestly, why are all Rock-moves so crappish?Yet another reason I take Smogon with a grain of salt; they regard Stone Edge as a stable of physical attackers. As far as good Rock moves go, Power Gem's decent, but it's not available to many 'mans.
I find it hilariously ironic that pretty much everybody who plays PokeMon competitively shoots for the same individual values, 31s all around.I find it funnier that Nintendo enforces no law of averages with IVs. Everyone claims that a 'man with 3 or 4 31's was probably hacked, but I know for a fact that does not work in reverse, because I once caught a 'man with *FOUR* 0's, and the remaining IVs in single digits.
If everybody's going for 31 IVs in Speed and whatever attacking/defending stat(s) your PokeMon uses, then where's the individuality?
Absol: Artemis
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Super Luck
Moves: Nightslash, Psycho Cut, X-Scisor, Swords Dance
Item: Focus Lens
His team consists of Jolteon, Espeon, Absol, Tyranitar, Metagross and the dreaded Garchomp which he named Katsu, which is the japanese word for victory according to him.
The other 4 pokemon I was considering besides those 6 were Metagross, Gallade, Gardevoir and Mammoswine.
If I come across a Ice/Water type I'll use a Fighting type and I'm pretty sure I won't fight a Gyarados or Pelipper anytime soon if ever.Well, I guess you know your demograph better than anyone, but on the internet, Gyarados is relatively common. He has a wide move pool including a physical STAB, Dragon Dance, and Earthquake, so he can be quite deadly.
lol google translateUh SD, DD? What does that mean?
Also yeah your team is slow as hell and half of them will probably get killed in one hit. Priority/Scarves everywhere = super good idea. And switch SD to DD on Feraligatr. Or swap him for a Gyarados, Gyarados is way cooler anyway.
You actually might wanna use Mamoswine, tbh. Just so you can ruin To Win the Garchomp. Ice Shard, hoooooo.
Indeed, Mamoswine is one of the best users of Ice Shard; I would seriously consider him for breaking a Dragon-type's attempt at sweeping. He'd also be pretty valuable against Will's team, from what I can see. His 'mans are quite formidable, but he has three Ground weaknesses and nothing that resists it.Hmm yeah I'll try to think of a speedy Electric type to go against that. By the way if I do go with Mammoswine who should he replace?
Well, I guess you know your demograph better than anyone, but on the internet, Gyarados is relatively common. He has a wide move pool including a physical STAB, Dragon Dance, and Earthquake, so he can be quite deadly.
(You really shoulda been able to work out SD on your own, by the way. Not like there are a lot of moves on your Feraligatr that have the letters S and D in them, are there?)I didn't think you were talking about moves.
... 8)Action Replay.
I thought it was a pretty good one myself. However, I never thought in 2v2, the pokemon leading should be covering weaknesses or that there are moves to increase the power of the partner pokmon. Time to go make a 2v2 team then using what I already have... I go numb at the thought of breeding and raising any more pokemon than the 8 I have.
Action Replay.Solves the catching part, but not in finding the right natures or certain moves. An example is breeding Hydro Pump into my Salamence. Nor does it solve the EV training part.
Solves the catching part, but not in finding the right natures or certain moves. An example is breeding Hydro Pump into my Salamence. Nor does it solve the EV training part. That's probably why I'll never battle any of you, then. I really could not care less about the EV Training or Breeding. I find it too tedious for what will amount to a handful of battles before a new game/gen surfaces. That's only my opinion, though. Shame, I'd love to battle people.

Pokesav?What is this
In all fairness I have had good luck when it comes to screwing you over on turn 1. Tyranitar/Dragonite is a pretty lousy situation to be in against my Palkia/Lapras combo. So you rigged for that and it quite literally blew up in your face.Huh? Didn't use a TTar... I thought the Heracross/Latios combo would take out Lapras or Palkia. Depends where you use the Shard. Both of mine are faster so that once Lapras attacks, I can take out one of them. From there just wing it.
Pokesav?Morals and ethics. I feel bad using something like this cause it cheapens the game, the oppenents time in effort and training their pokemon (if they did train them... B( ), and the the effort and satisfaction of winning with hard work of training your own.
Morals and ethics. I feel bad using something like this cause it cheapens the game, the oppenents time in effort and training their pokemon (if they did train them... B( ), and the the effort and satisfaction of winning with hard work of training your own.I would find comfort in knowing I would only make Pokemon capable of holding their own, not over powered beasts of "jesus christ what".
Morals and ethics. I feel bad using something like this cause it cheapens the game, the oppenents time in effort and training their pokemon (if they did train them... B( ), and the the effort and satisfaction of winning with hard work of training your own.Seriously Akamaru.
Seriously Akamaru.Gar. You are one of the other people I want to fight also. Not sure about my pokemon battles. I have a tendency to guess types wrong and have general bad luck in my fights... I don't win unless I see the "You Won" sign in my face.
This speech here makes me want to fight you so much now.
Though I know I will lose. Very badly too. XD

Morals and ehnics, Akamaru, you sortta sound like me when it comes to Pokemon battles. Anyhow how about a remacth on Monday around the same time? Also, it would be chill if I could battle other ppl, except HyperShell, if I can't beat Akamaru then there's no chance I beat HyperShell.......
Huh? Didn't use a TTar...I meant our first battle.
I thought the Heracross/Latios combo would take out Lapras or Palkia. They probably would have. I sincerely doubt Ice Shard would 1HKO on only a 2x weakness. But Latios' Dragon Pulse will, and he and his sister are the fastest of Dragons. No Dragon trainer worth their foot will engage Latios without something to boost Speed in their favor. Had I thrown Palkia/Lapras against them, I'd have probably switched to Steelix/Rotom anyway.
They still came up with their team, and they still won because they know how to use them. What's the difference? Is hatching like fifty eggs to get one with good IVs that important to you that you're against people skipping it?I personally don't mind Pokesav as long as it's used responsibly. No hacking max IVs, Hidden Powers, or whatever. But in terms of EV training (which is nothing but grinding against the appropriate opponent w/ appropriate item; I did it the long way in Diamond's earlier days) and attacks (TM limits mainly; breeding Egg Moves is simple enough), it's very handy. The tremendous amount of time it takes to ordinarily prepare, and the gamble it is to use a non-buyable TM if you change your mind, make experimenting in-game extremely difficult.
What's your buddie code Tickle Buffalo?

Don't really care if others do, but I walk with a better feeling if I beat them.

I notice you're on, and I'm pretty certain I am, so you want a battle now? Or should we leave it until later?
(Seems you don't!)
You got it. We'll do 2v2 to switch things around.
May I direct your attention here (http://forum.rockmanpm.com/index.php?topic=130.0)?
So, could anyone lend me their Groudon from the Embedded Tower so that I can catch Rayquaza? It's the only legendary I'm missing =(Freaking Kyogre and his freaking Aqua Ring. I may have Heal Block, but goddarn Aqua Ring.
Speaking of legendaries, Kyogre sure was easy to catch, only one dusk ball. Latias was quite easy to capture and find too, Raikou and Entei however...is Entei glitched or something? He would sometimes just disappear from the Pokegear =/
Oh, and was I the only one that found fighting Mewtwo completely anti-climatic?
Me: Well, here's Mewtwo, one of the strongest pokemon ever, this is gonna be a hard fight...
*battle starts and Mewtwo proceeds to only use Defense Swap and Attack Swap*
Me:...couldn't they have at least given him Recover and Psychic?
Also, DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF POWER SWAP AND GAURD SWAP
Well... As a wild Pokemon battle, that is.
Freaking Kyogre and his freaking Aqua Ring. I may have Heal Block, but goddarn Aqua Ring.
And he took like 15 Dusk Balls to catch for me. >_>
Freaking Kyogre and his freaking Aqua Ring. I may have Heal Block, but goddarn Aqua Ring.
And he took like 15 Dusk Balls to catch for me. >_>
Well, I'd like to share a tactic that I recently discovered while trying to catch legendaries.
Pffft, using anything other than a Pokéball. >_>Well, then, I'll be over here enjoying my Dusk Ball visual effects.
5457 1622 0897Message me if you want to battle. I'm not always logged onto RPM and Yahoo notifies me when I get a message.
Friend Code, quite bored, want to test out my team. 5/6th complete. Anybody interested?
POWER SWAP, GUARD SWAP, AMNESIA, AMNESIA, POWER SWAP, GUARD SWAP, PSYCHO C-NOPE POWER SWAP, GUARD SWAP, POWER SWAP, AMNESIA, PSYCHO CUT.
Wait seriously, the only attacking move Mewtwo has is Psycho Cut?
[parasitic bomb] was so 8DWow, just wow. -AC
Yes.
Thus, it can raise it's Special Defense to it's max, give it all to you with Guard Swap...and then start beating on you with a Physical move. It'll do this multiple times to multiple Pokemon, depending on whether or not you suck. Truly, a worthy opponent.I guess at least it doesn't have a recovery move to annoy you with.
Ever since I beat Akamaru I spend less time with my DS. XD...
...Please enter your initials!
What am I? Defeat the ultimate boss and you're done? ~w~
...I guess that makes me the Culex to your Smithy?
What am I? Defeat the ultimate boss and you're done? ~w~
Kyogre rapes damn near everything. Whether you're using Legends or not, you need to approach him very, VERY carefully. Honestly, it's not as if my team couldn't use him, but I decided that would make me feel TOO cheap.I was thinking of using Rayquaza because of his Air Lock ability, but not too sure if he'll have any moves that can get me out there before her.
I guess that makes me the Culex to your Smithy?
I was thinking of using Rayquaza because of his Air Lock ability, but not too sure if he'll have any moves that can get me out there before her.Every bulky water and their dog carries Ice Beam, so I wouldn't call Rayquaza at all reliable in that situation.
I guess that makes me the Culex to your Smithy?Love it when you talk dirty to me. More serious note, you are probably right...
...What's so special about that Scizor?
...it's in a Cherish Ball and has a Starf Berry? And it's an anatagonist in the Zoroark movie? ._.
And it's an anatagonist in the Zoroark movie? ._.Why do Scizor always hove to be antagonists?
...What's so special about that Scizor?
For those of you who has the Japanese games, there's a new WiFi event coming, tying in with the coming of the new Zoroark movie.A little bit of new info about this Scizor has surfaced.
From June 18th to July 14th 2010, you will be able to download a special Scizor over the Nintendo WiFi.
This Scizor is lvl50, inside a Cherish Ball, holds a Starf Berry, and knows the moves X-Scissor, Iron Defense, Agility and Swords Dance.

...*hits head against the wall repeatedly because he never figured it out*I got that from Bulbapedia, so I never really figured it out myself, either.
Found some NICE creepypasta on /x/, fans of Pokemon, specifically Gold or Silver, read and RT.I love these stories.
[spoiler=long text]I have a story I would like to tell you /x/. It is a long story, but for you [Top Spin]s who would go
TL;DR - this story is not for you, so [tornado fang] off.
You see, I am a simple college student living alone in an apartment. I was very enthusiastic about
the release of HeartGold/SoulSilver on the states. I have purposely locked myself out of all media
and the internet aside for school purposes. That means no 4chan, no /v/, no Bulbapedia, etc.
As I was busy with the school year and being a poorfag at the time, I wasn't able to buy
SoulSilver on launch date. After my school year ended, I ordered SoulSilver on Amazon (sorry, I'm
not a faggy pirate). However, it would take a week for it to arrive. I decided that during that
time, I replay my Crystal version on my Gameboy Color.
However, I realized that long ago, my mom threw it away because I told her the save went dead, and
I was very upset about it then. She also threw away my Silver version, so all I have is my Gameboy
Color. As such, I set out to Gamestop and bought a used Silver version, as it's the only Pokemon
game left that they have for the GBC. Ten dollars - fairly cheap despite it being Gamestop.
I went home and started it up for a nostalgia trip. However, that's where things started getting
bizarre, and most likely the reason why you read this.
The Gamefreak logo started up as normal, but it just froze there. I thought the cart was just
errored or something, so I turned it off and on. The same thing happened. I tried pressing A and
Start over and over, and all of the buttons. Eventually, the logo vanished and there was a black
screen for about five seconds. Suddenly, rather than going to the usual menu screen, I was already
in the game in a previous saved file, which was odd as I was expecting all of these carts to have
been wiped by the poor battery. Either way, I wasn't complaining, as I would have chosen the
"Continue" option to see what the previous guy did anyways.
First off, I checked his trainer information. His name was just "..." - He didn't have much
originality.
I checked his profile and apparently he had 999:99 hours put into the game, with all 16 badges,
999999 Pokedollars and all 251 Pokemon on the Pokedex.
Seeing as he apparently had Mew and Celebi logged also, I am guessing he either used a Game Genie
or is a really hardcore Pokemon player back then.
I checked his Pokemon to see what badass team he has. To my surprise, I saw 5 Unowns and a sixth
Pokemon named "HURRY". I'm thinking that this must be some cruel joke by the person who last
played this game, but I decided to check the profiles of those Pokemon anyways. As expected, they
were different letters of Unown, all Level 5. I was a bit shaky with my Unown alphabet at the
time, but I identified the word spelled out to be "LEAVE".
As for the sixth Pokemon, it turned out to be a Cyndaquil (mind you, this is before there were
individualized Pokemon icons). The Cyndaquil looked normal, but it was Level 5 with only 1 HP left
with only two attacks: "Leer" and "Flash". I don't know why they named him "HURRY", but at the
time, I just disregarded it. The most eerie thing was that, despite my volume being at max, none
of the Pokemon he had said their usual cries. Just pure silence.
Having enough of the team, I closed it. I was parked at what appears to be a room inside
Bellsprout Tower. However, for some reason, there were no NPCs around. Even more eerie was that
the "pillar" in the middle didn't move at all, as if just leaning on its side. There was no music
at all, and there was no exit or ladder, or least I thought there wasn't.
I walked around for a few minutes but can't seem to find a way out. This was certainly not a room
I've seen in the Bellsprout Tower before. I've tried checking my items for an Escape Rope, but the
bag was completely empty. There wasn't any Wild Pokemon either.
Finally, I've managed to find a ladder, which turned out to be behind the "pillar". The screen
turned black and the music finally started playing. I had a sudden chill, as I recognize that
melody I heard to be the theme you hear when you listened to the radio at the Alph Ruins where the
Unown are at.
I immediately realize that it wasn't a loading transition, but rather I was in a dark room and
would need Flash. Before I took care of that though, I immediately checked my Pokegear to change
the radio to something more pleasant, but it turns out that there was no Radio card, or even a
Phone nor Time cards. There was only a Map card in which Gold ("..." from earlier, and I will call
him Gold from now on) was just walking in a midst of black.
I recall that Cyndaquil has Flash, so I turned off my Pokegear and made Cyndaquil use Flash. I
didn't see any message saying "HURRY has used Flash!" or anything like that. The room just became
lit just like that, and I soon regretted it. The room was a chilling blood-red with a linear gray
path heading south. The ladder I used to go up/down was not there at all.
I had no choice but to head south. The screen got darker every 20 steps I made, until I finally
made it to the end, which appears to be a sign. I read the sign, which said "TURN BACK NOW".
Suddenly, I was asked to answer YES/NO, but there was no question asked. I chose YES as I do not
know what it was asking, and the screen went black again, making a "ladder climbed" sound. The
Unown Radio music stopped, and in a few seconds was replaced with the not-as-creepy Poke Flute
radio music.
I was in another dark room, but I held my breath and used Flash again. Suddenly, it said that
"HURRY has fainted!" which was odd since I recall that there was no status conditions like Poison
on him, and I clearly wasn't in a battle. I checked my Pokemon quickly and suddenly he's no longer
in my party. In fact, after a bit of investigating, none of my Pokemon are there, but instead all
replaced with Level 10 Unown. I did the same thing as before and spelled out the Unown. My then
team of Unown spelled "HEDIED".
Either way, after that creepy change, the room was lit to reveal myself in a very small room that
appears to be only four squares big. The walls of that room were gray bricks, as if I was inside
something that was hollowed out. Outside that room appears to be a bunch of graves similar to the
ones in Pokemon Red/Blue. I've walked around that small room and pressed A but nothing happened.
I've already concluded that this was clearly a hacked game and some sadistic [tornado fang] sold it to
Gamestop. However, my curiosity kept me going. I checked the trainer profile of "..." again only
to find out that the sprite of Gold was missing his arms. He also seems to appear less smug, but
rather seems more sad and empty in a way that I do not know how to describe. For some reason, it
also now said that he has 24 badges, which was clearly impossible.
After a few minutes of aimless wondering, my character suddenly spun and did the Escape Rope
spinning animation. Instead of flying up though, my character spun downwards slowly, as if
sinking.
After that screen, the music stopped. After finally landing, the overworld sprite of Gold is
coloured differently now. Instead of the usual red colour he dons, he appears completely white
now, including his skin. It's as if he came straight from the colorless Game Boy games placed into
a colored background of the Gameboy Color. I checked his profile, and now, while now is as white
as his overworld sprite, he lost his legs and has what appears to be bloody tears from his eyes.
It also says he now has 32 badges, which now starts to disturb me as this change of number seems
to represent something important.
I also checked my Pokemon, which this time contains 5 Unowns and a Level 100 Celebi without a
nickname. The Unown are this time Leveled 15 and spelled out "DYING". I checked the Celebi's
profile. It was a shiny Celebi, except there's only half of the sprite. One leg, one arm, one eye.
It only has one attack: "Perish Song".
The area I was in itself was the Sprout Tower with the immobile pillar as before, except
everything is apparently red now. I walked north for what felt like forever. Eventually, I finally
encountered some generic men and women NPC. They were all lined up to the side just facing the
long slantish pillar in the middle. They were also white, and nothing happens when I try to speak
to them. I kept on going north until eventually the pillar finally appears chopped off, with a
transparent Red in that spot. I went up to Red and without even pressing A, I was suddenly engaged
and finally in a battle.
The music starts again, which it sounds like the Unown Radio music again, but played backwards.
Gold's battle backsprite matches his front one with the bloody eyes, white skin, and lack of arms,
while Red's sprite was the same as before in GSC except transparent. The text simply said "wants
to battle!" as if he has no name, and both of us only have one Pokemon each, which is weird as I
swear I had six with the Unowns. My shiny Celebi came out, conveniently with half-a-sprite for the
back sprite also. The "Shiny" noise and animation was different, as the sounds it made sound like
multiple "Screech" attacks used consecutively. Red sent out a seemingly normal male Pikachu,
except he is Level 255 and his sprite seems sad and has tears in his eyes.
Rather than the usual "FIGHT/ITEM/PKMN/RUN" menu, I was only given the option to use the Attacks.
Since Celebi only has one, I chose it. Naturally, since Pikachu was Level 255, he went first.
"PIKACHU used CURSE!", lowering his Speed and increasing his other Stats. I'm not even sure if
Pikachu could even use Curse.
"CELEBI used PERISH SONG!" In three turns, both Pokemon get KO'd - not like I have a choice.
At this point, it didn't even go back to the Fight menu, as the battle just continued without me.
Also note that there was no animations at all for some reason.
"PIKACHU used FLAIL!", which didn't do much damage despite his Level and boost as his health was
maxed.
"CELEBI used Perish Song!" Nothing happens as it was already used.
"PIKACHU used FRUSTRATION!", which did a shitton of damage, knocking Celebi down to less than 10
HP.
"CELEBI used Pain Split!", which surprised me as Celebi didn't even have that attack in the first
place. Now Celebi and Pikachu have about 150 HP.
"PIKACHU used MEAN LOOK!" Not like that did anything.
As expected, due to the effects of Perish Song, my Celebi fainted. Except in the text, it said
"CELEBI has died!" and instead of the ordinary drop off the screen animation, the CELEBI
backsprite just vanished. For some reason, the Pikachu was still up even with Perish Song and it
didn't count as my lost. Pikachu used one more different attack beyond the 5 attack limit:
"PIKACHU used DESTINY BOND!"
Afterwards, it said "PIKACHU has died!", with a slow fade-out animation. Apparently, I was the
winner, as the transparent Red Sprite showed up and said ".........."
At that point, I just freaked out, as that transparent Red sprite was suddenly beheaded, leaving
nothing but his transparent body. The battle then ended at that point and faded out along with the
music.
I'm back in the overworld, with another change to the Gold sprite - he's now as transparent as
Red's overworld sprite. I quickly checked Gold's profile, where this time the only thing remains
of him is his head, with a transparent skin. The head was zoomed in a bit, showing a black void in
his eyes. It now stated that he now has 40 badges. I then backed out and checked my Pokemon. They
were all Level 20 Shiny Unown, which when spelled out, read "NOMORE".
I was at what I now know is next to the end. There was apparently no music playing, but for some
reason I still felt like something was there that could be heard. I was back in my room in New
Bark Town. Maybe finally I get to play this game properly, but who am I kidding. I knew that
sadistic [tornado fang] must have done something. I "walked" around my room to interact with things, as I'm
a bit afraid to go down the stairs to see what was awaiting down there. Note I said "walked", as
while the background was moving, Gold was not moving his transparent limbs at all while doing so,
just floating like those ghosts you see in Diamond/Pearl.
As expected, the radio, computer, and TV did not work, so I had no choice but to go down the
stairs. I ended up in the same lower level room of my house. Everything appears normal, except mom
isn't home. After failing to interact with anything in this room, I decided to go outside. To my
surprised, that door leading outside at the south didn't work, and instead I just walk straight
through it to a void. I continued moving south to see what the [tornado fang] was going on. My house
vanishes as I head south into the void. It was creepy as when I entered the void, the outline on
Gold's transparent sprite turned white to contrast with the pitch black. Eventually, I reached a
white area and Gold's sprite turned black and transparent again. I continued south without
thinking of stopping at all.
After a long trek south, I finally encountered something. It was GOLD's regular sprite. I talked
to it. He said "Good bye forever ...." (notably with a space inbetween the forever and ....), and
vanished. As that happened, it said "??? used NIGHTMARE" which at that point, I would not deny
that being possible. Gold did another Escape Rope animation spinning slowly downwards like before.
I'm now back into that small hollowed-out room surrounded by graves earlier. Or at least I say I
was back there, as there's no sprite anymore. I tried to walk around but nothing moved - not even
wall bumping noise. I checked my trainer profile with absolutely no Gold sprite left. It said I
have 0 badges and all the pictures of the Johto Gym Leaders at the bottom were replaced with
skulls
I checked my Pokemon, which were all Level 25 Unown. As expected, it spelled out a phrase that I
dared to read. "IMDEAD"
As soon as I went back to the overworld, the room I supposedly was in was then covered with the
same blocks as the walls. I then figured out what exactly that room was when the final text was
said: "R.I.P. ..."
That room was a big grave, surrounded by other grave. Gold has already been dead. He died
presumably a few years after he defeated Red.
He was a young trainer who, despite his efforts in collecting so many badges and attempts at
becoming a Pokemon master, was still unable to avoid the inevitable fate of death, and his efforts
were eventually forgotten by the next generation.
I was unable to escape from that text no matter what I pressed. I tried resetting the game, and
the same thing happened, at which I then finally decided to give up on that horrible nightmare.
After that experience, I will never look at the "gimmick" Unown the same way again. They say that
only the first generation have folk tales and legends, but the second generation have shown me how
unpleasant the truth can be. I eventually enjoyed SoulSilver immensely, but I still can't unthink
what that rigged game have told me.
END[/spoiler]
*SIGH* Got rid of my SS, started to realize that it was starting to be bad for my health...Dare I ask how?
Well, for those of you with the Japanese game, this WiFi event is now active.
Source: Serebii.net (http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml)
It's of an Adamant nature, and also has the Classic Ribbon.
Source: Pokebeach.com (http://pokebeach.com/2010/06/movie-13-scizor-wi-fi-download)
Finally had a chance to trade over the WiFi.
They should begin to enforce a rule where you can only ask for a legendary if you're offering one.Yeah they really should.
Well if there aren't any other offers I guess you're on Hypershell. Also if you can give me an opinion on my Mammoswine I'd appreciate it because I think I might have to switch it for a Weavile because Mammoswine has a lot of weaknesses.
Speaking of WiFi trading, [tornado fang] the GTS in it's current form. Nintendo better improve it 100x for BW, it's just horrible right now.Hmm... I didn't try the GTS. XD
I have this amazing ability to screw people over by complete chance. I know my Pokemon are powerful, but I don't really call this strategy: First 'maru is completely weakness screwed against my opener, then trying to adapt to that, I switch openers and screw him over again, and now Sakura shoots herself in the foot with Trick Room EXACTLY when I switch in Steelix...*Pulls back ears and growls*
Indeed it was I'm just glad my pokemon did better than I expected, but seriously Akamaru why do you have 2 dragon types, I know thier pretty danm good and all but it's not a good idea to have 2 pokemon of the same type.
Okay Jericho it's your turn now.
Sounds like you both had a fun match. XDIt was fun! 8)
Indeed it was I'm just glad my pokemon did better than I expected, but seriously Akamaru why do you have 2 dragon types, I know thier pretty danm good and all but it's not a good idea to have 2 pokemon of the same type.So you say, but you couldn't defeat them, huh? Although you are right. It does lead me to a Ice Shard weakness. You notice I don't say Ice weakness. The chances of you outrunning my "Rider" or my Dragon Danced Dragonite are slim to none...
I don't think I do.
4297 5603 0391. Let me know when you're there.Okay Jericho got you registered and I'm pretty much almost there.
That missed Leaf Storm of mine and that critical hit Dragon Claw you got totally made your day Sakura. XDEven if that strategy worked my Blaziken has a Choice Scarf on him and some pretty high attack so it probably wouldn't work. That's why I switched out him out the minute Typhosion was out, I was counting on you to knock out Gardevoir.
Now if only I didn't plan all my moves like that. What I was hoping for with Typhlosion was that if you had dealt it any damage with Gardevoir, you'd trigger Blaze and I could get a scorcher off. With Blaziken, since I didn't have a move of any particularly decent effectiveness against it, I wanted to outspeed it and use a near full power Eruption. Then I got slapped in the face with an Earthquake. XD
Posted on: June 24, 2010, 09:15:36 PMThat explains it. I just thought that whenever we play against each other online, we just lag. 8D
FUUUUUUUUUUUU
Battery dies on me. :(
Well I finally won, but man dude I'm sorry for the bad luck there with the missed Leaf Storm and all. I'm just glad I actually came up with some pretty danm good strategy but I gotta remember that Rock Type moves are the ones Super Effective against Ice types and not Ground types. I also need to come up with a better lead pokemon too.
That explains it. I just thought that whenever we play against each other online, we just lag. 8D
Honestly, Metagross wasn't that bad a choice, it's just that that Ampharos I helped my brother with is a demon. I really should have just waited until I could go wild in my own Soul Silver with my own personal team, but Johto hype got the better of me. I was actually thinking I wouldn't do more than a third of Metagross' HP worth of damage, but damn if Ampharos didn't shocked the hell out of me there. XDYeah that's the thing with Metagross and most Steel types in general they have great physical defense but pretty bad special defense, even with it's high Special Defense IV it still can't stand up to pokemon trained for Special Attack sweeping.

Save and soft-reset are your friends. XDYeah but I might have gotten a neutral natured one if I did, besides I caught a swarm of Dittos. Oh and you don't nessesarily need a legit event Arceus to activate the event, if that's what you're doing, my friend's hacked one did just fine.
Also... Anyone mind giving me a spare legit event Arceus? -_-
Didn't you say that Gamestop was going to have another Jiraci event? They did, earlier in the year.
If you can trade right now I can let you borrow the Arceus that Shell gave me.... Darnit, can't leave now. >.>;
They did, earlier in the year.Oh yeah I forgot it was Wi-Fi this time, oh well like I said before the crash I can virutually get unliminted Jirachi if I wanted to, although my pokewalker is broken. -u-'
This time, it's through WiFi.
So its just Red's Pikachu.Yeah you have to differenciate from the 2 of them. Red has pokemon that, while not the best, still kick a lot of ass while Ash has a lot more pokemon he actually used but most of them suck since he doesn't evolve them and doesn't know how to raise them. Ash may have some better ones now but that's only because he evolved them and are inheriently better for the most part, in my opinion any way.
Two things to bear in mind about the anime:That too, though other than that Dragonite what other pokemon don't have that 4 attack limit?
1. Pokemon do not suffer the "4 attack" limit.
2. Ash insists on giving all his powerful 'mans away.
"We'll be back as soon as we get Professor Oak's Pokeball!"
Pidgeot is still waiting, you jerk.
Actually...Oh so the older generation really didn't have that 4 move limit?
The anime is trying to restrict the Pokemon to 4 moves now.
As for Pidgeot, yeah, duty.Still Lapras is with her family now so yeah, I don't think she's coming back.
But Lapras is more it's back to it's herd.
Oh so the older generation really didn't have that 4 move limit?Yep, there were instances in the Kanto, Orange Islands and Johto arcs that showed Pokemon to have more than 4 moves.
Yep, there were instances in the Kanto, Orange Islands and Johto arcs that showed Pokemon to have more than 4 moves.I see, it's been so long since I've seen those arcs that I didn't remember. That and I probably wasn't paying much attenion. -u-'
Not so much in the Hoenn and Sinnoh arcs.
Well, I've seen very little of Hoenn and pretty much none of Sinnoh.Actually they keep changing it and each time it gets worse.
What can I say, sooner or later you get tired of the Team Rocket motto.
Lol yeah... They changed their motto in Sinnoh...They changed it for Hoenn too or at least the Battle Frontier.
But it's still Team Freaking Rocket. 8D
Ash's can never live up to Red's (despite the same/similar moveset).(http://www.thedevhome.net/forums/images/smilies/AA/bubble-holdit.gif)
Because it's Red's.
Satoshi in the other hand wasn't allowed to receive Character Development. Even when he got one, he later received later the Character Derailment. This is so true. Ash COULD grow to the awesomeness of any trainer, but he always reverts back by the next episode.
Now how can Satoshi for real forget, that Normal Type Attacks won't work on Ghost Tpe Pokemon? Epic fail combined with the fact that he uses his Pokedex, before he attacks Gengar.
[youtube]rcxtW19I69U[/youtube]
If you ask me, Satoshi suffers from Aesop Amnesia (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AesopAmnesia). For a child he really has a bad memory.
This is so true. Ash COULD grow to the awesomeness of any trainer, but he always reverts back by the next episode.
"Character growth" is not in the vocabulary of the anime writers, I'd say.
The only thing I can say to this is what else do you expect from a character that stays 10 forever?Touche.
Touche.
It's interesting how that flies in the face of various points of the Indigo and even Johto arcs, even though in terms of character-depiction, yes that is obviously what they're going for (sure, we take it in The Simpsons, but that show isn't meant to make sense). At least two years should have passed by Spell Of The Unown (1 year between Viridian City Visits, and the Pikachu short being Ash celebrating the anniversary of their meeting), and if you take Gary's mention of Pokemon Leagues meeting once per year into consideration, Ash ought to be very nearly old enough to drive by now.
The fact that they're so stubbornly against the concept of passage of time simply means that Ash is fairly compared to Red's early days. Ash is no worse a character than Red, he's simply denied Red's growth on the grounds of status quo.
Even though Ash aka Satoshi is a fake and mostly a miserable version of Red, their Pikachus are in in terms of power pretty much equals.... You do know you still proved my point right?
If Satoshi is going to battle his Pokemon Special version, I would place my money on Red, because he has more talent for battle shown as he defeated Giovanni the Ground Type Specialist with his last Pokemon at hand, Pika.
... You do know you still proved my point right? If Satoshi is inferiour to Red, then I proved your point, but we were talking about Satoshi's Pikachu and Red's Pika. Would they fight without their respective trainers, their battle would end up in a close draw. When the trainer is retarded and the pokemon to loyal, you know that the pokemon would follow the order, even if it knows that it would lead to nothing.
And remember, the anime series is just Ash in a coma dreaming up all that.Just open the closed topic (http://forum.rockmanpm.com/index.php?topic=765.25) so we can talk about it once more. (It was even closed before the 30 day limit was passed. WTF? Spy Child what is your problem?)
He's been in that coma ever since Pikachu first shocked him in ep1.

It is indeed an astonishing theory.
WTF? Spy Child what is your problem?Remember a rule that stated to treat others as you want others to treat you?
Also, Remember a rule that stated to treat others as you want others to treat you?I know the rule, but as she closed the thread back that time, I felt to be fooled. I had the urge to express it somehow (emotions are so irrational).
Do you want to me to ask what is your problem?
No?
Did someone say something about aging in Pokemon?Awesome pics, man. Though Clair makes me appreciate censorship for the sake of TV audiences (why does the Dragon gym leader have to be such a [sonic slicer], anyway?). Brock with a goat looks cool, and you can't argue with HG/SS hair Misty.
And remember, the anime series is just Ash in a coma dreaming up all that. That would explain so much.
He's been in that coma ever since Pikachu first shocked him in ep1.
Sigh... Just try to keep them in mind next time, alright? :cookie:Yes I will. Thank you.^^
Now some time for nonsense.that was [tornado fang]ing dumb
Say have you ever had that kind of wish to kill Satoshi ala Hokotu Shin Ken?
Red:"I touched your vital point on your forehead."
Satoshi:"So what doppelgänger?"
Red:"Your brain will explode in 3 seconds faker."
Satoshi:"Nonsense! I have ne...." *head makes boom"
Red:" With that dreadful abomination gone I can finally make the anime to a masterpiece, even if I have to kill the superiours of the anime in order to do so."

that was [tornado fang]ing dumbAs I said, nonsense.

Well, those are nightmares then. What I meant was that there are plenty of opportunities besides ep1 for comas.
Well there is the Pokémon Adventures anime coming this fall... 8DWait, as in based off the manga!? AWESOME!!!
I really can't wait for(http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y194/dakirbymaster/Kobuns/KoolaidKobunTRUEFINAL.png)
I think so, yes.Whoa... There's also Phoenix Wright, Persona 4, and Yotsuba&. @.@

It's fake. What is the evidence for being a fake? There might be a portion truth in it.
It's not a good coma ending unless EVERYTHING is a dream while in a coma 8DWell, I'd just like it if when he woke up, Misty was there instead of his mother.
What I meant was that there are plenty of opportunities besides ep1 for comas.Perhaps.
What I meant was that there are plenty of opportunities besides ep1 for comas.I say he got the coma after his third badge, when he said he was seeing stars. 8D
Perhaps.
But it's a Pikachu. A Pikachu unlike any other Pikachu. A Pikachu that Team Rocket wants to steal for Giovanni.
Fear its powah.

I guess it can't be helped, so I will stop with the references. Too bad that you don't feel the same sensation I currently feel about TTGL.I love TTGL, but do you see me spamming TTGL refs and quotes everywhere on this board to show how much I love it?
I love TTGL, but do you see me spamming TTGL refs and quotes everywhere on this board to show how much I love it?
Seriously, you are making me hate TTGL now.
I hope you are happy.
So...Does anybody here have an AR or PokeSav?I have an AR!
Hey guys, I usually don't get to use my DS online. Gotta do this within the next few hours. Does anyone have a Heart Gold Kyogre I can borrow and trade back? My friend code is 0561-1471-0280.
I got the enigma stone and caught Latios.
I still need to get the Enigma Stone in my SS.
Same. :v
Also, beat the [parasitic bomb] out of red. I pussied out and transferred all my good Pokemon from Platinum (Two Rayquaza's, the Starters, Kyogre.) to my SoulSilver.
I would but my Wi-Fi isn't compatible with DS games anymore.I have the same issue. I have to go to some place like McDonald's for compatible WiFi.
MARSHTOMP
Wait, if you have Marshtomp why do you need Mudkip? Just get an egg for it.I don't think he has it yet. This must be an idea of what he wants on a team.
My honest opinion is they probably wouldn't get very far, especialy if your planning to go through the Battle Frotier or fight trainers who have pokemon that they've EV trained. I mean why do you think Ash loses the Pokemon League all the time?
Plus the move sets for your Pokemon don't really go well with what they do best. Take your Charmeleon for example: most of the moves you're teaching him are Physical the moves he does better with are special moves the problem is since you're limiting yourself to not evolving them fully they also can't learn the best moves for them. The moves I recomemend for Charmeleon are Flamethrower, Dragon Rage, Ancient Power, and Toxic since those are the most powerful special moves it can learn, Toxic will be a big annoyance to your opponent, and if you're lucky Ancient Power can raise all your stats.
Now lets compare that to a full grown Charizard that can learn even more moves. The moves set I would make for him would be Flamethrower, Dragon Pulse, Solar Beam, and Sunny Day. Flamethrower gets STAB, Dragon Pulse can take care of Dragons threataning to kill an Ice type with a Fire type move and Sunny Day and Solar Beam combined with Charizard's high Speed can destroy all his weaknesses except electric if you use Sunny on your first turn.
Marshstomp is better with Physical moves but if you did evolve it it's a hell of a lot of work to do. Riolu, since you're not planning to evolve it is okay since his Physical is better than his special but if you did evolve him it's special gets much better but his Physical is still high so you can make him either way. Pikachu can go either way evolution or no evolution.
Now the biggest problem is Sableye, out of all the pokemon that can't evolve it's probably one of the worst. Granted he has no weakness and he's a little better with Physical attacks his stats suck so bad that he can't put anything to good use. Spirit Tomb is a much better pokemon since his stats are better but mostly even so there is a lot you can do with customization. Plus your team really really needs the defense he can give.
Now for the sixth you can cover your pokemon well but I think you might need some Omph with attack or defense with that since they are severly weak but honestly I can't think of anything since you seriously love to to restrict your self a lot so I don't think I can help you at all, good luck dude you need all the help you can get.
Ahh, my Feraligatr is Naive, his Attack is 188, Defense 185. Sp.Attack is 141, Sp.Defense is 128, and Speed is 177.
The moves it has are not so great however.
It currently has Ice Beam, Return, Hydro Pump, and Surf. It did have Aqua Tail at one Point, but I replaced it for Ice Beam in a foolish move.
And besides water, I tend to have a liking for Flying, Fire, Electric, and Grass. I personally don't really like using Rock for their abundance of Weaknesses, and I don't see much in the Steel, Ghost, or Dragon Varietys.
Crobat not one that I would work with but he has some very decent moves. Cross Poison, Brave Bird, X Scissor/U Turn, Steel Wing/Agility/Double Team. Now there's only a little work for this breeding a female with a male for Brave Bird and getting a heart scale for Cross Poison but at least it's not near imposible like with Swampert.
Get a swarm of Dittos and an Action Replay. The Action Replay may be cheating but I only use it for items and checking EVs and IVs and it makes so you can't screw up without knowing. The swarm helps with other Natures you need.
Now for the Flying types I are usually types I don't like myself save for Salamence but I can reccomend a decent one that you can try but I've never used it, Crobat and I quoted what I said for Crobat when Pyro was making his super hero team below.
Train an Adamant one to max it's Attack as much as possible since it's speed is still pretty high.
For Grass use a Impish Leafeon for a danm good Defense and it can heal it's self. Synthesis, Leaf Blade, X-Scissor, and Iron Tail is the move set that I think could work. He can basicly be the main tank of your team and can take out a few pokemon and heal.
For Fire I recommend any Fire Starter except Typholsion. But it depends on what you want Blaziken is used for type veraiety to support your other pokemon, Charizard is decent speed Special Sweeper that can cover Earthquake but makes you more vulnerable as to Electic attacks and Infernape can do their jobs better but I find him cheap.
Electric types aren't ones I normaly use either but try Jolteon or Electivire follow the Crobat quote for Jolteon. Electivire is a Physical attacker with a little above average speed so use Thunder Punch, Iron Tail, Earthquake and Light Screen.
For number six I recommend Gardevoir since you don't like Rock Types and you need a Special wall follow the quote for Gardevoir and give it Calm MInd for Support.
Okay since I know you are going to EV train I highly recommend you get an Action Replay. The Action Replay not only gives you the items you need but you can actually check your EV/IVs with it too. And I like Wartortle better than Marshstomp since it has better Defense and it won't get murdered by Grass type moves as easily as Marshstomp plus it's not as much work if later on you do want to evolve your pokemon. Teach it Special moves and if you're lucky enough to get a Female teach and Male compatiple pokemon Mirror Coat and Sludge and breed like the wind.
Also I'm serious about replacing the Sableye with Spirit Tomb.
About the Leafeon, which Level would you Reccomend I evolve it at?Anytime is good.
I can't update my old v1 Action Replay because the cable doesn't work anymore and my other v1.6 Action Replay I busted somehow when using a code in a game, can't remember which, so I cannot add any games as there's "no free space" but I have no game lists in it anymore. Oh well, but I'm going to my local GameStop today to buy the DSi Action Replay, this Action Replay works on the original and Lite DS's right? Plus I'm going to re-buy Sapphire version as I somehow lost all my Pokemon Gameboy Advance games... all I got left are the original Red version, Yellow, Gold, Silver, FireRed, Diamond, and Pearl.Yes the Action Replay works on the DS Lite, DSi and DSi XL.
Anyway, sorry for the rant, the Spirit Tomb does have good defense that helps a lot but how do I get one? What Pokemon should I trade with to get one? Until I get a Spirit Tomb, I'll find a Sableye until then. You need to talk to 32 people in the underground or talk to one person 32, can't be a merchant, times by going in and out and stuff or GTS if you're lucky. And I said trade out the Sableye. Anyway I don't recomend Areodactly since you'll have a Charizard, try Metagross.
After I build this team I'll build a team of Fully Evolved Pokemon. That Charizard build is a very nice one, and I thank you for that Sakura.
Still can't figure out what to do for a 6th Member... how about Aerodactyl? That a good?
I thought I read somewhere that you can get a Spirit Tomb from the Poke Walker at a certain area. I'll look into that.
And I would switch out Sableye for Spirit Tomb if I got Spirit Tomb, plus I don't have any Sableye at all. Time to go feel the Pokedex.
Yeah after posting about the Aerodactly, it was a bad choice since it weak to Electric type attacks because of its Flying Type even though it's a Rock Type if I remember if that's right. A Metagross? I guess I'll add him for my Fully Evolved Team and have its pre-evolved form as my Basic/2nd Form Team.

Some people do. They're the ones who EV/IV train.
Excuse me, STM, but EV/IV training is not seeing Pokemon as math formulas. You're thinking of Shoddy battlers. EV/IV training is a simple matter of having no life.
