Got the MP3 link for Opening Stage (Crash Site Ruins) - Prototype Version theme:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?p9v2p8c84ewardf

Sounds pretty cool.
But I like the finished version more.
Which one? I like the one without the guitar riffs.

52
I ripped the game's XA music format, and I've uploaded one of the very few alternate tracks from the prototype to YouTube. So far, the only tracks known to sound different from the final are the Opening Stage and Rainy Turtloid's Stage Theme. I've just uploaded the prototype version of the Opening Stage theme on YouTube for your eyes and ears to enjoy. =) I'm doing this so no one has to!

I hope to get around uploading the prototype version of Rainy Turtloid's Stage Theme very soon! Expect some gameplay footage of the prototype from me very soon as well!

53
WONDERFUL!!

I can't wait to play this when the download is finished!

Skaarg, would you mind taking a picture, or better yet, a scan of the prototype disc? I'd like to see what a protodisc looks like, even if it might not be anything special to everyone else. It would be much appreciated. =)

54
It will be dumped tonight. The only working cd drive I have has a lot of read problems so I wouldn't trust it with making a rip. A friend of mine is coming over tonight and with his computer so I can rip it. Maybe don't expect an upload till tomorrow though it is my 21st birthday so I have to have some fun! ;)

Then we can finally really start digging into this to see what beta stuff there is.

Also I let the demo play once and X is retarded as hell! 8D

Flame- to answer your question they are the same to figures on both sides (just mirrored). The figure closer to the middle appears to be the falcon armor and the other appears to be the blade armor(I think?).

Well done! Can't wait to see what's inside the disc files, and make video footage of it when it leaks out!

Misprint. If it needs fixing, tell them to do that. ^^;

OR....

Hah! Just four minutes ago, I thought about checking out RPM too. >_< But isn't that just a reprint of the PSX version, couldn't he have just said 1995/1996? Hmm...

Man, it's been a while since I posted here.

Anyways, was there a sort of release for Mega Man X3 in 2000?

This website, which belongs to Capcom Sound Designer Hideaki Utsumi (Resident Evil 1-2-5, Command Mission, Maverick Hunter X, Powered Up!!), claims as such.

Sorry if this is short and insignificant, but I see no records of this anywhere. BTW, Utsumi and I are following each other in Twitter. Maybe I can ask him something about this...?

Commentary for Part 18 is now completely finished!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is it. In this part, I'm finally going to face the final boss of the Claire A scenario, G! During the recording, I was anxious. I knew of not having saved my game in the entire run, so I was risking everything.

Give it a watch, there's also lots of trash talking too.

Posted on: July 19, 2010, 09:35:40 PM
I am pleased to announce that the entire Claire A scenario is complete!

I've just finished what little commentary was needed for Part 19, which is the final part of the Claire A scenario, which I'm now finished of!

Please see the OP for more details
.

I'd like to thank you all for watching me play the first half scenario of RE2, but I'd like to take a break from Resident Evil. Hopefully, I'll get around to doing the Leon B scenario in the coming months whenever I get to recording and have more time to do the commentary. I look forward to doing "Leon B", but I actually want to do other things first.

Part 17 commentary is now complete!

I am so close to the end, just two more parts for the final conclusion of Claire A's Scenario! We're are THAT close to the game's final boss and ending!! We don't know if Claire will survive this whole ordeal or not, but let us have faith for her in the final showdown as it will be one of the most intense battles in the entire game!

---------------------------------

So about three months ago, I got Resident Evil 2 - N64 version for dirt cheap at eBay for $4.25, and so far I feel that I've got my money's worth.

Recently, I thought that I might as well record myself playing through it and offer my commentary on ii just for the heck of it in the best possible quality presented, with the Expansion Pak and recorded through S-Video!

In this playthrough, I went though the game on the Claire A / Leon B scenario with both A ranking, no spray-cans, no saving, with a time of "03:03:30" & "03:43:57", respectfully, with some of the N64 options turned on. In this same run, I happened to unlock 4th Survivor. There is however, a chance that I'll redo the entire Leon B scenario again from the ground up for time, integrity, and quality purposes.

I understand that there exist a LOT of Resident Evil 2 playthroughs and videos, but at the same time there's not a lot of good quality videos of the N64 version. I'm adding commentary to this video run. Not vocal commentary (thank god for us all), but more like annotations that will consist of nerd trivia, jokes, personal reflection on certain parts, pointing out oddities, opinions, and more! If you are interested, rate my vids and subscribe! Also, PEMNAS stands for "PLEASE EXCUSE MY NOOB ASS SKILLS". I invented the term myself.

So far I've already completed the Claire A scenario of my run, but I have plans to start the Leon B scenario.
For now, I'd like to present parts starting from Part 0 through Part 19!

Claire A Finished:
Part 0 - Leon A - Opening + Leon A Failure
Part 1 - Restart: Claire A - The Terror Begins + Robert Kendo
Part 2 - Claire A - Marvin Branagh & Licker
Part 3 - Claire A - Brad & the Special Key
Part 4 - Claire A - Library + Outdoors
Part 5 - Claire A - Herbs Are Awesome
Part 6 - Claire A - N64 Costume + Marvin Dies
Part 7 - Claire A - Chief Irons + Sherry Birkin
Part 8 - Claire A - Sherry's Adventure
Part 9 - Claire A - The Press Room
Part 10 - Claire A - Death of the Psycho
Part 11 - Claire A - [ray splasher]-Headed Monster
Part 12 - Claire A - Raccoon City Sewage
Part 13 - Claire A - Annette Birkin + Giant Ass Alligator
Part 14 - Claire A - The Marshalling Yard + Factory
Part 15 - Claire A - G-Birkin Battle + Underground Laboratory
Part 16 - Claire A - G-Vaccine + Annette's Fate
Part 17 - Claire A - Escape From Laboratory with G-Vaccine
Part 18 - Claire A - Third Malformation Of G
Part 19 - Claire A Finale + Credits + Special Note From Me

COMPLETE!

Leon B:
Coming Soon! REAL SOON.

--Now about the N64 version--

The Nintendo 64 version is known for, at the time, its technological breakthrough in inserting two 600+MB PlayStation CDs worth of (redundant) data in a 512Mbit/64MB cartridge. This port, done by Angel Studios, also features some additional exclusive content, including a new control scheme (dubbed "First Person Controls") an "Item Randomizer", a Violence Adjuster, and Blood Color Adjuster. But of course, for the last two you would always want the maximum amount of violence and pure red blood in any horror game, right? Other features include new costumes made by Angel Studios, the developer that ported RE2 to N64 alongside Capcom, and the new, detailed EX Files.

The graphics actually look somewhat better than the PS version, there is very little clipping on the character models and they're smooth and feature no blocky-ness. Unlike the Saturn port of RE1, Capcom didn't sacrifice the character models much to work with Nintendo 64. The SAT version had some ugly models, IMO.

Anyone have a copy of this game? I think this is overall the best port of the game I've played yet. I wanted to get the GameCube port, but 1) It's overpriced a bit 2) It doesn't have the features that the N64 version has 3) The controls for that port kinda suck from what I read.

Anyways, I will be updating this thread whenever I get more videos and commentary done. Stay Tuned!

HELL-O. Remember this?

Yeah, I just found. The PSP port of Rockman DASH 2 sold 1万 5309本, or 15,309 copies in Japan. =( Also, DASH1 for PSP was not on the list, and DASH2 was the 498th top game sold in 2005.

I'm currently finding to see if any other Rockman games on are the Japanese sales lists here.

I bring you, Macbeth Be Startin' Somethin'.

(It's Michael Jackson's Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', and Star Fox/Wing's Macbeth.)

By the way, this is the "cover art" for the mash-up.

This is a mash-up of Michael Jackson's Who is It, and Mega Man 8's Staff Roll (Credits).

This one has actually been in the works since February, but with education, real-life, and current projects including Shat-Canned Legends, PEMNAS, and others taking priority, I just haven't been in the mash-up scene for a while. Now, I'm finally releasing this to the world!

Staff Roll composed by Shusaku Uchiyama.

Off The Wall / You better eat your vegetables!, Cause mom said so!
« on: May 07, 2010, 06:08:08 PM »
Back when I was kid, about pre-adolescence, I had this intense hatred of vegetables, especially onions. One evening, my mother made this soup full of onions, and even though I rejected having the soup when she asked me if I wanted some, she still served me some in a freaking Snoopy bowl. I asked her - no, I demanded her to serve me that god-damn Hot Pocket that she promised to feed me with after she came very late to pick me up from school that same day.

Then she said:

"Eat it".
I said "No".
She said "Eat it, or I'll shove it down yo' throat".
"NO".
She then rushes out of the kitchen, and comes back with a belt, snapping the belt. I stared in terror of the black belt she welded. "Put that spoon in yo' fuckin mouth".
"OH HELL NO".
She whacks the table with the belt. She raises her voice furiously, "EAT IT".
"Noooo...." I [acid burst] and moan.
She then approaches the silverware drawer and grabs a larger spoon from it. Dunks it in the soup, and directly injects it into my mouth.
"YOU ARE GONNA CHEW IT AND SWALLOW IT, DAMN IT", she yells.
I had this sensation going on my tongue. The taste of the onion was repulsive.
As a child, I was not used to god's natural candy.
But this dreadful strong onion taste was surrounding my tongue with nothing but misery. I tasted [parasitic bomb].
As I continued to salvage it, my mother stared blank at my face.
She asked: Does it taste good? I gave her my face-of-despair look.
With that belt she held on her hand, I could not say no.
The pressure of tasting this nasty piece of [acid burst] and the anxious thought of punishment was just so unbearable.
I had only one reaction.
I thought "[tornado fang] it", and I threw up square on the dinner table when she then preceded to whoop my ass with a belt and a large-sized clothes hanger.
I ran to my room screaming. I laid on my bed without dinner -- with an empty stomach at that -- and I could hear my mother screaming nothing but batshit-tantrum.

And... The End.

Today, I love onions. :) I have them on my Pizza, Ham and Tuna sandwiches, tacos, hot dogs, salads, tofu, and sometimes even stew. It has this distinct taste that I love that just enhances the favor of some food for me. I'm certainly not a total addict but I certainly wouldn't mind adding it as a topping to anything. I'm actually kinda happy all this happened.

Now, I'd like to ask RPM goers here: Were you ever forced to eat food that you hated before as a child, like vegetables, foreign food, sea food, etc? Tell us all about it!

The best track I can identify it with is Jet Stingway's BGM.

Why don't we talk about what games we like that others dread. =P

Anyways, I always enjoyed this game ever since I was about nine years old:

Yep, a 16-Bit Simpsons game. Note that this is the Super Nintendo version, and that dogshit degraded Sega Genesis/Mega Drive port. Personally, I feel that this is one of the most underrated games based on the Simpsons license, at least. To many people the controls suck, but I think it just needs some getting used to for a little while; even then, it's loads better than how say ShTH plays. It does have some irritating moments in the game, but it definitely not an impossible game to beat, it just takes trial and error. This is my second favorite Simpsons game behind Hit & Run, which is admittedly a superior game. I haven't played any of the other 16-Bit Simpsons titles so I don't know what the rest of them are like.

Last year, I got to play it again after disusing it for so many years and did a PEMNAS video run on YouTube. It got so popular that it's gradually becoming one of the first results that show up when you search "Virtual Bart" on YouTube and even Google!
PEMNAS stands for "PLEASE EXCUSE MY NOOB ASS SKILLS". I invented the term myself.
Here are some of my favorite levels in the game:

But enough about me, what games do you enjoy that others sadly [acid burst] on?

WHAT

Kamiya wants STARFOX?

YES. owob

Nintendo, particularly Miyamoto, may known to be very protective of how their characters are being used, but since the director of such reputation for making such awesome games (Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, and Bayonetta) would like a hand at making a Star Fox title, I see no reason for them not to trust a competent designer who would clearly know what he'd be doing than Namco ever did.

suggestive Krystal screenplay, I just know it...

NO. She became this needless love interest for Fox. He was just fine young and single.

The less furry romance, the better. That is, unless, of course, Kamiya could work with that somehow.
