Ishida Akira as Juno laughing like a maniac at the GAME OVER screen?
FFFFFF-
BEAM ME UP THAT SAMPLE HERE, SCOTTY! I SO WANT TO HAVE IT!
Could you do that, please? I could extract them alone, but then finding this would be a nightmare. D :

Awesome stuff, man. I think I once found some of those Legends ones when I was just starting my adventure into extracting stuff from games, namely the GEEMU OVAA from servbots. Can't remember if anything else.

: P
Here is, what apparently is, the entire sound source for Mega Man Legends 1.

Also, herrrrrrrrre's JUNO!

Enjoy. =)

I picked Design B.

Basically, it takes his Legends 1 colors and combines his Legends 2 design, with new details added and allowed by the hardware Legends 3 is on.

It's the best of all three, IMO!

In terms of PS1 games, I actually think a modded PS1 is pretty easy to find and buy. I bought mine for 30 bucks.
I'd love to buy a pre-modded one myself, but I still don't know a good place to by those from.

So I tried that constant disc swap trick on my PSone (previously I just experimented on my obsoleted-ass PSX from 1995), and...

Looks like I'm finally gonna record high-quality video on those Rockman and BioHazard trials and prototypes after all. =)

Stay tuned on some videos about said prototypes from yours truly in the near future.

Anyone here on Rockman Perfect Memories on the PlayStation importing scene? I'd like some help.

The purpose here is to play burned PS1 discs like that Rockman 8 prototype, and to play my real copies of Rockman DASH, and Biohazard on my PlayStation 2 Slim SCPH-70001 and PSone consoles. I understand there are "creative" methods to accomplish this.

The most common ones I find on the internet are using a sort of double disc swapping method that involves a real PS1 disc and a burned/imported one, and you have to repeatedly swap them both in a timed, instant fashion. Which I have tried doing that with just my PSone console many, many times to no luck. I find it to be complicated and stupid, and I'm sick of trying that.

Another is actually opening up your console (PS2 or PSone), and soldiering mod-chips into the console. I'm willing to do that with just my PSone console, but I ain't tampering with my PS2 Slim. It looks complicated, but it does sound fun to experiment, though.

Finally, and possibly the most costly, is buying one of those Breaker Pro discs for $20 USD which "allows playing PS-One import games and backup games on PS-One and PS2 game console without any internal modification". Sounds exactly what I want. With it, you only have to swap a disc once and not have to rush, unlike the first method mention above. I don't know if it scam, though. It does sound too good to be true.

I also have Action Replay for PS1, and Action Replay MAX for PS2. Could I use those?

Do you recommend that I invest on a Breaker Pro disc, or is there some other unlisted method that I haven't touched upon or don't know about?

FFXII-2? I didn't see this coming.

They're wasting resources.
Actually, I wonder if they'll use any of the cut content from the original FFXII. IIRC, they removed enough content to make a whole game out of it.

DASH / Re: Rockman DASH 2 Rare commercial
« on: January 15, 2011, 07:20:40 AM »
It's so nice to see something as rare as the commercial for Rockman DASH 2. I've never seen it before.

Man, it so was a different era back then.

EDIT: It seems the video has misaligned fields making it look like it has an afterimage.
What I mean is this:

Is there anything that can be done about it? I've tried to use VirtualDub with the Dominance Area filter. No luck.  -u-'

I don't get the hint, but that pic reminds me...

Rock gets knocked the fug out. By Roll, and gets told by Chris Tucker.

By me. Enjoy.

- Makoto Tomozawa (Mega Man/X/Zero/Legends credits, Dino Crisis series, Resident Evil series, P.N.03)
They can get this awesome composer to do remixes for Mega Man albums, and yet they can't get him to do music for Mega Man Legends 3?

Come on Capcom, get your priorities straight!

37
At long last, here's my take on Sonic music! Well Knuckles, actually. What you see here is a mash-mix of Evening Star from Knuckles' Chaotix and Nothin' on You from B.o.B., you know, that song that is still in the Top 20 charts today.

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUX4uHn50fk[/youtube]

You won't believe how much trouble it was putting this mix up. It may not sound like, but I inverted the original song (Nothing on You) specifically for this video, that's how I dodged the audio disabled [parasitic bomb]. For now, anyways.

I highly advise, no I *insist* of downloading the untainted version here, MP3 link.

Enjoy the art-mash too, and Merry Christmas!

This is a mash-up of Remains of the Factory from Chrono Trigger, and an acapella from "They Don't Care About Us" from Michael Jackson.

Enjoy.

News and Announcements / Re: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom
« on: October 30, 2010, 02:45:44 AM »
So, Keiji Inafune is gone, huh? I can live with that...

Concerning MML3, I guess for that game to exist, something had to be sacrificed. MML3 came with a price after all.

Thanks for all the Mega Man games you made and produced for us, Inafking.

Mega Man Legends 3 producer Tatsuya Kitabayashi gives more details

- Capcom is trying to get the original voice actors back
- story is still in development
- game will continue after the events of Legends 2
- Capcom is considering having fans that are writers come up with “episodes” for the game
- the new female character is just as important as Roll or Tron
- MML3 is on 3DS because Capcom felt the game would work well on the platform, and they believe it easy to develop for
- touch screen will be used
- familiar and new mechanics
- some of the Monster Hunter team will be working on this game
- cast images coming very soon
- Tron and the Servbots are back
- might be more Servbots this time around
- unlikely Mega Man 64 will hit the VC

TAKE THAT YOU NON-BELIEVING MOTHERFUCKERS.

It's feels good to say that.

43
It isn't.

It isn't at all.
Right.

It'd be Duke Nukem Forever's [sonic slicer].

>DASH's Controls
>Not Broken
 8D
I'm talking about Legends 2's controls. It's still not as "broken" as people think it is.

Want old controls? Go for it, but you'll die alot. It'll be like obligatory Hard Mode for stubborn people.
You'll die a lot. I won't.  ;)

45

You say that... I don't think it means what you think it means.
It's means you are bat crazy for taking it this serious.

The controls for the Legends game worked and it worked fine for those games (sans Lock-On perhaps. Improvements for Lock-On is welcome), and it didn't seem to stop people from enjoying the games either. MML doesn't need its controls "redone" for this generation, in my opinion. As someone said, you don't fix was wasn't broken.

46
Like the Most Excellent dude said though, if they revamp the game play with say the Wii control scheme, then having a 10 year old control scheme will probably not work that well for it. If they can make it work, then yes, more control schemes are never a bad thing. However, sadly you not knowing much about modern gaming controls is something they probably won't factor in.

Use the bloody Classic Controller Pro, bro.

Hell, besides Nintendo, Capcom was the one who oversaw the design of that controller. It's practically a PS2 controller made for the Wii, which makes sense since Monster Hunter was a PS2 -- or just a PlayStation-branded -- game. I can definitely see myself playing a Legends game with it's "old" control scheme that controller.

Besides, I'd rather play a DASH 3 with familiar controls than playing it with a different scheme just because some people couldn't be assed to learn DASH 2 controls (I say DASH 2, because DASH 3 will be build upon it's predecessor). DASH 1's controls are primitive, Lock-On is useless today. But DASH 2 significantly improved it, Lock-On is still a [sonic slicer] but it's still much better then having you stand to lock into something. I'm totally fine with DASH 2's controls.

EDIT: I was still editing my post while Blues was replying back. Sorry for taking this long.

47
It's Hideki Kamiya.

When I got my reply back from Kamiya-san (I was the one who asked him), I was perplexed. I was like "HOLY [parasitic bomb]".

Plus around that same time, he posted a picture of him and Mega Man Legends 1 & 2, and Tron Bonne director Yoshinori Kawano at the TGS that's happening right now. I thought the timing was interesting too.

He also said to believe in Kawano-san.

Well you guys know that already... just wanted to say hi is all. He's quite enigmatic with a statement like that.

Oh? This guys been involved as back as BN2 and Zero 1, not to mention more recent games like 9.
He also directed the entire Zero series, and Dead Rising.

You do know that this has already been up for quite some time now, right?  It's simply the JP version of the track; the one we got has the guitar riff.
But no, it's not. Listen to my video again.

The prototype version isn't missing just the guitar riff from the English version, it's missing the main instruments of the final melody as well (Specifically for example, on 0:30-0:49 and 1:08-1:27 in my video, & 0:30-0:49 on the video link you posted), that's what makes it unique enough for me to upload it on YouTube. Not to seem defensive, but I've done my research on the matter, otherwise I wouldn't have posted the track here in the first place.

EDIT: WHEW! Did a lot of back n' forth to get the YT URL timings right! Plus my connection sucks.
