Don't you already have enough of that with Marf? XD

Marth is there for graceful fencing and being a shark out for blood. I need someone I can be all Kenshin Himura off the walls and lethal with and I need someone to indulge my Trafalgar Law (One Piece) urges with. Hence Takamaru and Lip being two of my biggest wants. (Others include the near universally confirmed Palutena, Anna from Fire Emblem, and Mike Jones as always. :P)

Rosalina might be good in that aspect, based on what we've seen.

I am almost more excited for her mechanically that I am for Megaman. Think about that.  XD

Yeah. Winter cannot come soon enough. PAX East really stoked the Smash genes. I needs it.

All the recent Melee exposure and the release of Project M 3.0 made me come back to my gaming "comfort food" and man, I can't believe I was ever gone. Damn I missed Smash Bros.

Kinda sad there's no K. Rool on that list.

I'm worried for Takamaru and Lip myself. I need my samurai and I need someone who can troll with positioning.

Ah. I only played Fever once. Guess they weren't in the part I played.

Also, no way in hell. They could be an Assist, sure. But them playable sounds ridiculous. Shulk would have a better chance than them, and I know Shulk would be way too good to be true.

Even though I know this wouldn't happen either, with no Snake I would love to have Simon Belmont instead. Without the beard and Scottish, please.

They're rumored to be in as givens by the guy who predicted Wii Fit Trainer, Megaman, Villager and Little Mac before the E3 2013 showing. Pacman and Mii were on that list as well. He also "leaked" that Palutena, Chrom (ugh), Shulk, the Chorus Men, and "a Pokemon from X/Y" were also in a day before the Smash Direct.

So I definitely haven't talked Smash with the more laid back RPM community. How's it looking for everyone here? I'm hype as [tornado fang] after the last direct and can't wait for more details. Since I haven't shared it here before, here's my own wishlist visualized:

A bunch of these are concessions based on recent rumor lists (I would waaaaaay prefer Ike in over any variant of Chrom or Lucina and have Anna as the new FE rep as both a long running character and a face from Awakening) but you can see the Jellyness in this.

The ones with a red icon are those who I support but could see myself being OK with not showing up for this one if that silly 48 character number turns out to be true.

I'd have to do some digging. It was a lot of the usual suspects, Amsa's Yoshi, and Plup's Samus that stood out to me most during Melee stuff.

It was so damn good. One of my favorite gaming stream experiences of the last year for sure.

Just wondering, was anyone watching the Apex Smash streams this weekend? Amsa's Yoshi was the most amazing thing I've seen ever.

It brings back all of Melee's advanced options and speeds up the flow of the gameplay by a lot. At the same time, it changed a lot of character's properties (mostly the ones who were prominent in Melee) back to their Melee versions (Ex. Marth lost a lot of his launchers, the speed of his Dancing Blade combo, and counter doesn't do hard knockback with double damage but got back a ton of reach).

I think it's all but confirmed at this point.

Side note: Does anyone here play Project M online? I have the online version of the mod and I'm kinda curious. I've also been without my Smash crack for a couple of years and would like to get better at competitive Smash again.

I'll let you figure it out. :D

Fun but very very flawed game.

Wow, reading this thread (for the sake of getting an old post) in 2014 is such a jarring experience for me. I really thought differently about Brawl in '09 versus now. XD

Dedede's expressions alone make me want to add him to the realm of Jelly's better used characters. That hammer wind up face is priceless.

MARTH

Just wanted to come in and say RPM will fear my tip once again.

There's nothing to get tired of if it's something people want/show interest in.

46
Hot off the trails of another popular kickstarter, the cool guys and gals at WayForward have started their own in the hopes of funding a brand new adventure for the whimsical, shimmying genie from Seaquin Land.

Link

The current funding amount asked is $400K, but as always everyone who's interested should always "aim big". Those stretch goals look fantastic. So do the right thing guys, support belly dancing, Metroidvanias and WayForward today!

47
I'm seriously going back and forth between various web pages and this Kickstarter's page just admiring how fast it's coming to being funded. I am so excited for this thing and will donate as soon as I get 40-60ish to put towards it.

48
I would be behind this if I had a Twitter account, I wish there was a Facebook campaign as well.

Some people were actually using the #NintendoRegionFree and #EndRegionLocking tags on the Nintendo facebook page in the comments section. While there's no centralized effort there, it's always the thought that counts.

49
Have you guys been keeping up with the GAF thread or checking out Miiverse? Seems like this is gaining some serious traction now.

50
Hot off the heels of the immensely successful #PS4noDRM campaign spearheaded at NeoGAF and referenced directly by high ranking SCE officials, a new campaign has started after the confirmation that Microsoft's Xbox One would now be coming to all regions with no regional locks. The target? Nintendo. As it stands, Nintendo is now the only console maker that still mandates this old practice whether by precedent or by willful choice. As such, gamers have already begun to make their voices heard much like the aforementioned anti-DRM campaign asking for Nintendo to comply with this one request -- the removal of region locks and regional locked content on their eShops, Wii U console and 3DS handheld console.

With that being said, I've decided to spread the word because this is yet another good thing and worth the exposure. Participation in this is simple as always. For those of you with a Twitter account, use the hash tags #EndRegionLocking and #NintendoRegionFree, and follow @EndRegionLock.

Tweet at:
@Nintendo
@NintendoAmerica
@NintendoEurope
@NintendoUK
@NintendoES

With a short (respectful and well written) message supporting your stance on a region-free Nintendo software market (or just the two previously mentioned hash tags). For those of you who want another additional method to raise awareness and are in possession of a Wii U, take to Miiverse now and use your eloquence or your artistic ability to present the "End Region Locking" message to your fellows on Miiverse. I suggest using high traffic places like the Smash 4 Miiverse page or the Nintendo e3 Miiverse thread. There you will find many other messages in this vein and can "Yeah!" them for maximum visibility.

For the driven here, you can feel free to repost this in other net communities or forums you frequent and drum up the interest in this from whoever wants to participate. There is NO such thing as a bad turnout here, only cold feet which is the bane of these things. Simply tweeting it out or Miiversing it up is already enough to show that you are in strong support of this. Let's do this RPM.

I hope no one minds me sticking this.
