Title: Favorite DASH Installment.
Post by: Setsuna F. Seiei on November 08, 2008, 10:06:12 PM
Dash 2 for me. Had the better story, gameplay, and didn't stick you on a same damn island for the entire game.

1. (Best) Misadventures of Tron Bonne for the awesomeness of playing as Tron.
2. DASH/Legends 2, it was an overally great game. And it had an epic final boss.
3. DASH/Legends, epic Juno is epic, not as epic as 2 though.
4. (Worst) Grand 5 Island Adventure. Why? Cell Phone. ;_;

Dash 2, As much As I liked the 1st one. It got boring quick and Dash 2 Kept the originality flowing.

DASH 2 also had one of the best battles ever, The Battle With Geetz on the Sulpher-Bottom. Sucks it was also one of the easiest =/

Agreed, that was a fun battle.

DASH 1 for me, I just love everything about the setting. I feel so at home!

This is truly a tough call for me but Setsuna pretty much hit the nail one the head for DASH 2 by mentioning the Geetz battle. The setting, the tension, and my [tornado fang]ing God the music. It's really a shame that it couldn't have been more challenging.

I only had the chance to play DASH1 so I've voted for that one, but I've also heard that the DASH2 was more than amazing

I actually prefer DASH 1. The fact that the whole Island was completely interconnected in some way was just awesome. Also, there was no underwater dungeon... you know what I'm talking about.

We do know what you are talking about, Buy a JAP PSP and DASH 2 for PSP.

Yeeeeeah I don't think so. Requires more cash than I have, and it's not really worth it.

Although I do like DASH 1, I definitely think that DASH 2 is better.

The PSP hardware plays Nino Ruins just like it was intended from start. No slowdown.
You just have to play the right Rockman DASH 2 to experience the coolness. ^^
Not an emulated PS1 version, but the re-released PSP version.

L2, for sure.  Pure epic on every level.  My only regret is that they toned down the mid-boss dialogue, but what is there is still awesome, especially during the pirate train and Geetz.

L2 as well. Better than the first, and more variety with the dungeons. Plus some of them give off a creepy vibe (Saul Kada, I'm looking at you).

I can't remember which stage I hated more. The water temple or the Fire temple.

I hated fire temple for those stupid missle launchers that took forever to kill (I was at an S rank.).

To me it a tie between DASH 1 and DASH 2 but the one thing that I can never ever forget was that annoying Water Ruins that was nothing but 70% slowdown which was hard to get used to but puts a challenge. DASH 1 has Juno. But both are equally original.

The first game had more charm, that's for sure.  The game quickly grew on you, and the weapons were fun.

However, L2 had a much more fun gameplay experience.  With plenty of unique weapons, as well as epic battles (Geetz and Train for example), it was quite an awesome games.  This is actually the first MM game I bought, and it's still my favorite to this day (with MML1 as second, of course ;)).

I preferred Legends 2, 'cause mainly it had so many new reaverbots!

Also, am I the only one who liked Legends 2's Nino ruins slowdown because it made it seem more "realistic" to me?

I have to say DASH 1. There's just something about it to me that I loved. Oh, and the fact that that little ruin outside the city in the beginning is connected to the Main Gate. I thought that was hilarious. I was all "WHAT'S BEHIND THIS DAMN DOOR I HAVE TO KNOW" and then I get the Drill Arm. Needless to say I started destroying stuff with it. That wall was my first priority, and I nearly fell over(was sitting on the floor when playing) when I got through.

Oh, not to mention, if I remember correctly, that's where Teisel had his crazy face on. THEY WATERED HIM DOWN IN DASH2 I TELL YOU!

Probably, thankfully they fixed it in the PSP version. (Now release it in the US, Capcom!)

I really need to find these games again - my only experiences with the Legends series has been from renting Mega Man 64, and watching my brother play the second Legends game when he rented it once. Back then, I sucked at games, though. Really should try to find a way to play 'em again...  :\

Well, the most convenient (and legal) way to play is download L1 from GameStop. They use to offer a DDL for $15 on their site, not sure if it's still available.
