Wait until the Mewthree special airs, then we'll know for sure.

Also, Steel/Ghost sword Pokemon... Interesting.

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Well, when that special airs, someone give us a thorough synopsis.  Hell, if you can live-stream it, date and time in EST and I'll be there.  :P

If it makes its way across the pond, we'll see it as direct-to-video, most likely.  The movie, however, there's talks of a limited theatrical release in October.  Whether that will include mainstream theaters remains to be seen, as does whether Gettysburg will be on the list of theaters.

I sure hope so.  I wouldn't mind going out to either the Gateway or the Village to watch it.

If anything, we'll see the dub of the movie on CN whenever they get their hands on it. They aired the dubbed version of the Arceus movie a few times if I recall correctly, but I think that was probably after the DVD got released.

For the record, they never air the Pokemon movies in theaters over here. They have always aired the movies on Cartoon Network, and they have aired every single Pokemon movie to date.

I'm still hoping this is another mewtwo. I just can't see him with a different personality than he was 12 years ago. But I guess animation changes, voice actors get cycles around, so I guess we'll have to see.

BTW, nice new pic QM. That was made by someone from deviantart or something? I don't recognize it.

They used to air movies in theaters here, I think they stopped at Pokemon Forever.

Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

I wished they aired more Pokemon movies on TV here... The only movies aired were Jirachi Wish Maker and Destiny Deoxys. They did air Mewtwo Returns too...  And I missed it. Twice. -_-

Actually Pokemon 3 was the last one that went to theaters nationwide in the US (Last one that WB distributed too), Apparently Heroes got some theatrical exposure too but obviously only in bigger cities.

You know I think he got better in Mewtwo returns, and I seriously doubt there is a second Mewtwo roaming around. So its probably good old Mewtwo just with a brighter outlook on humanity.
And who knows maybe somebody went and asked if Mewtwo was the same Mewtwo, I doubt that would be something they would keep secret.

Victini and Zekrom/Victini and Reshiram had (extremely) limited screenings in a bunch of places

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Mewtwo did indeed mellow out in Mewtwo Returns.  In the Japanese dub, his voice actor adjusted the voice to be calmer and less edgy.  Even Dan Green's voice didn't have that dark edge like Philip Bartlett had, though that was not the reason the voice actor was changed--Philip Bartlett had died before he could reprise the role.

Judging by the trailer, this seems to be a different Mewtwo.  Or, perhaps whoever got a hold of him again, messed with him, and changed him.

It's also been confirmed that it can learn Swords Dance.

Whew that would've been awkward.

I'm not sure how that makes sense.  Eh, not that the Pokemon anime DOESN'T have horrendously inconsistent storytelling to begin with, but Mewtwo's entire character is built around the fact that he is, canonically, one-of-a-kind.

Yeah, it makes not a lick of sense whatsoever.  Though, several pages back, there was a post concerning this Mewtwo, saying that it wasn't the same.

In order to make them the same, and judging by what was in that episode teaser, they would have to recapture Mewtwo, change him around, and have him escape once again.  Otherwise, they just took a tremendous steaming dump on established continuity.
