Like it? It's the Dragon Quest IX Edition "Slime" DSi which goes on sale launch day for DQIX. The black one would be perfect for me if the slime was it's traditional blue color.
Are the internet tears bitter at this announcement? Because I saw this as inevitable.

In Japan you can do cosplay for a living.
YES! By your powers combined, I am....
DQ slimes look like boobs.there was a DQ H-doujin where everything sexual was replaced with monsters. srsly.
I'm not complaining.
"With the release of Dragon Quest IX, there are two things I'd like to make reality. The first is to build a thriving Japanese game market together with Dragon Quest that rivals the West's. The second is to form a strong tag team to promote Dragon Quest overseas. At Nintendo, we were able to popularize the Brain Age series overseas, which was said to be unmarketable. I want to increase the number of people worldwide that understand the appeal of Dragon Quest, which represents all Japanese gaming culture...even if that only turns out to be a single person. I'm looking forward to working together with Mr. Horii and Square Enix."

A SLIME~!
Hey guys, looks like Dragon Quest might just be the one series that could appeal to both Western and Eastern markets with Iwata's latest idea to push the series in both markets. And while they may have golden eggs now, I certainly hope this doesn't deter them from delivering on a promised golden sun.
Article here. (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3171782) What I find interesting about this development is the fact that for a good while now, Nintendo has wanted an RPG series that would rival the popularity of DQ in Japan & Final Fantasy worldwide. Now, they have the goose that lays the golden eggs and they seem quite content on making sure it delivers it's best. My, how times change.

they might move their focus away from FF and try reviving older games and franchises. Unlikely, but I enjoy the dream.
