From what I recall, that episode actually did it quite differently than the manga. Since Ed in episode 2 didn't transmute a whole statue of Leto, but only a fist coming from an already existing one.

I REALLY liked [spoiler]Kimblee coming coming back just to [tornado fang] up Pride's desperate plan, what a bad ass character. Ysee, THIS is why Kimblee is one of the most awesome characters in FMA lol. He's just so nuts that the thousand screams of souls dont make him loose himself at all. in fact, to quote him- "they are lullabies to his ears" also,

I must admit, I cant get enough of Hoenheim's uber laid back personality. NOTHING fazes this guy. its hilarious.

BTW, apparently, the Mangaka has already planned out the end of the Manga. Thus FMA Brotherhood WILL be producing the Manga ending as well. (AKA they wont change the end)
