Actually, no. Since DA DOES give you the embed code to remote link images, it's perfectly fine to post them here. The rule restricts itself to sites that do NOT publicly give embed codes for their images.

You can post anything you want, but it shouldn't be linking from a site that has hotlink protection.
You can upload your piccies on another webpage and then post them here. ^^

If it's not from DA or an image hosting site, it needs to be copied to one.

with good reason, since it is a big annoyance to everyone else and serves to make one look like a noob when they do hotlink.
if youve got like 10 hotlinked images, its annoying for someone to have to quote the post to copy/drag the urls into a new tab etc. to see what you posted.
