Ringman and I started watching The Adventures of Tintin, or, as we've been calling it, Tintin and the Uncanny Valley.  While not everyone is a frightening freak of motion-capture CGI, there have been some truly terrifying renders.

Ever think that a dog or a cow could fall into the Uncanny Valley?  Neither did I, until I started watching that movie.

Time to go to sleep and have nightmares.

If you want a good Tintin experience, best go with the animated series:

Hell. My USB Bluetooth dongle arrived today. Tried connecting my wii remotes. I tried both my Wiimote Plus and my regular one and neither works with neither GlovePIE nor Wiinremote. Dolphin recognizes them but they won't operate. What a pain.

RPM is working fine on Chrome for me.
GlovePIE likes to be bitchy with WiiMotes. This is what I usually do (unless you already do this, in which case go ahead and call me a [Top Spin]):

 • 1. Disconnect the Wiimote entirely from the computer (remove the device from the connected devices list)
 • 2. DO NOT connect or reconnect any Wiimotes unless I specifically tell you to.
 • 3. Make sure the dongle is still plugged in and operational.
 • 4. Write a script that takes some sort of input from one or two controllers.
 • 5. Run the script.
 • 6. Take your first Wiimote and hit the 1+2 buttons at once. Keep them held.
 • 7. The system should pick it up automatically and GlovePIE should make it work differently.
 • 8. If successful, your Wiimote will usually light up the first and fourth player LEDs for a second or two, then switch to the correct player LED.
 • 9. Repeat steps 6-8 for all other Wiimotes recognized by the script.
 • 10. If all goes well, the remotes will stay connected until you close the connection or shut GlovePIE down completely. Otherwise they WILL stay connected while GlovePIE is open. You can stop the script, change it, and re-run the script, and the Wiimotes will light up again and be all ready to go.

what

I hear that Wii Remote Pluses don't work well with PCs though. Does that matter? I'm using a regular white one and my gold Plus one.

So my brother's letting me use his GT 610 until he fixes his hard drive array or I get my new Radeon (Whichever comes first), so it's time to run games on higher. (As if I wasn't already maxing out the majority of games I'm playing.)

What's so super about this thread again?

Think of it from Capcom's point-of-view:

The thinking thread came back; exactly the same as the last one, with new additions (posts, in this case). "Super" is added to bullshit people into believing it's different, when it's basically the same.

Thus, this name was born. 8D
That's my take, anyway. Tron is the one who came up with this name.
Aaaaand the actual DEDICATED graphics card runs worse than my INTEGRATED graphics. But I went against my better judgement and decided to actually USE something by Nvidia. NEVAR AGAIN

Thought it was Clefant who made it. Maybe I forgot. :\

Anyway, got the laptop back, but not my ID.  :(
Going to have to get another ID by Monday.

Fear me.

Hah, that sounds familiar. I think I did that when I first shopped for a replacement card for the GeForce that was going bad in my new computer, except the card was a Radeon, strangely.

But did you try the procedure I told you to try? I noticed it never fails if I connect it while the script runs.

That's something I can look forward to when I get my own PC next to having the freedom doing what I want, when I want, and how I want with a PC. I'm sick of the bloat that my brother has been getting with stuff he's been getting from his torrent downloads, using [acid burst]-poor AVG anti-virus, and doing a lousier job of maintaining the PC than I would.

-EDIT-
Ugh! The keyboard is flithy. :| And the second monitor my brother uses sucks compared to the main 1080p one.

Why doesn't your brother use Microsoft Security Essentials?

I have no idea (though I'd personally use avast! Free Anti-Virus since it doesn't cock-block me from games like White Day: A Labyrinth Named School by mistaking the files in the game as a false positive as often), but he thinks that AVG is better than avast! and thinks he knows which anti-virus is for protecting the PC. Plus he's adamant on using it (damn thing expired the Free license, rendering it useless, but he somehow got it back and uninstalled avast! off the machine when I re-installed it). I found some malware and viruses that AVG didn't pick up after scanning it with Malwarebytes, many of which came from his downloads.

What is Overclocking, exactly?

It feels so good to be able to play .mkv videos without any problems.

What is Overclocking, exactly?

Processors have a certain clock speed that affects how fast they can handle processes. Overclocking raises the speed, but at the risk of it overheating unless you have sufficient cooling.

I see. Does cooling mean the kind of fan the computer comes with?

VLC Media Player? Wished Xbox 360s have that luxary...

Unless that computer actually came with a strong fan on its own, I'm pretty sure you'd have to buy one yourself.

Yeah. But I couldn't play .mkv videos well with the VLC player on my old PC, because it was extremely shitty. It froze a lot of times.

I have no idea if my fan is strong or not, let alone how to differentiate the strong from the weak.
