Hi guys, i was playing Rockman X4 the other day and i played through Magma Dragoons stage and re-imagined playing it with a infinite dash. So then i played all thee others and thought to myself that maybe it would a kind of cool idea. Its better than spamming the dash key but at the same time i think it makes the games too easy.

What do you guys think? I would like to discuss with you guys about this.

So you're expecting the dash key to be more like a sprint button. I wouldn't consider it game breaking, since this idea only makes "Speedruns" less painful.

I don't see how this makes the game easier, since you're basically using a button to rush through the levels. That's all I can say, really.

Fear me.

Indeed i was doing a speed run while thinking about this, but it would feel strange. I think the animation should be maybe different. To be honest you can keep spamming the dash continuously so having a button held down the dash infinitely would feel better and is not really different so your right about that. I think it would feel strange but fine after a while.

I don't think it would make much difference because you have to jump a lot. In fact, in the PlayStation games, you can already maintain dash speed indefinitely by jumping while holding dash, so infinite dash is redundant there. Oh, and Ride Armors in X8 actually have an infinte ground dash.

Now if there was a mod to have infinite air dash with the Falcon Armor in X5, that would be amazing.

What happens in Vegas stays on Youtube. I also stream on Twitch from time to time.

There might be a Gameshark code since all you need to dash again is to hit the ground and not have dashed before. Might be a flag or something you can hold the value for.

Indeed they did, and it was AWESOME.

I don't see any way whatsoever a limitless ground dash would break the game.  Every ledge and enemy still requires a jump/shoot response the same as before.  All it would do is quicken the pace and make you feel awesome.  Nothing wrong with that, in fact I've been wanting such an upgrade for ages.
