I can't even open the damn thing.

My computer doesn't recognize .MAK files, and I don't know what program uses them other than MAME itself. MAME32 opened for all of 2 nanoseconds before giving me the finger and closing out.

My brilliant Google search turned up nothing about not being able to even start MAME. I'm only asking about it here so that I might be able to play MvC without paying out my ass (especially bad if I'm ever going to get MvC2). Anyone got any suggestions?

Must be your processor, in account, certain emulaitors may need certain processors to run, that, or maybe you need new hardware.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

Indeed. I played something that was supposed to be something, it gave me one of those dating sim games instead. (Very unlikely to happen) However, most of the time my old PC worked rather well with MAME32. (However, it took a lot of space)

Mame loves me, My games run perfectly. But I don't remember any .MAK files...

Mame (binary and 32) crashes on me randomly when I play. This happens on all games. anyone know what the problem may be?

Strangely enough these are all cps1-2 games. :/

Gimme the model name and number (i.e. Optiplex GX280, Inspiron 9100, Latitude 4100, etc.) and I'll track the components down myself.
