It's a character from a Visual Novel Series called Dangan Ronpa.

Its an enemy in Danganronpa AE, a gaiden game set between the first and second games that's a Third Person Shooter.

Its not out yet, but that thing's one of the varieties of Monokuma you fight.

I want to bet they'll be in dark corners.

They're awesome, fits well with the feeling of Despair. I just wouldn't want to run into one in a dark alley.

Or in a messed up doll house, though I doubt that would happen.

And I wouldn't want to run into Monokuma in a dark alley either.

True it wasn't scary, but it was certainly the most messed up death in the first game just because of the sheer impossibility of it.

Its a game that could have been really grisly had they played it straight. But they made the game have a TF2 styled look to it (Going as far as to actually include a level based on a TF2 video.) and it makes everything funny.
