No, I agree with the guy. I was deadly with Mewtwo, and I still have something to prove. I've been waiting and hoping that he'd be back, because he was my fighter. Particularly since he had seen renewed relevance, then it made sense that he would be put back in the game.

But, he's not. The fighter I was best with, the fighter that gave me a good challenge to use and then made me all the more powerful for using him... has once again been forgotten. Once again been passed over for Lucario. Because Nintendo is still trying to shill Lucario.

I'm sad. I was hoping Mewtwo would make his triumphant return.

It seems he will not. He was replaced by a dreadlock-sporting dog in Smash Bros. and replaced by a Scrappy in the anime.

Mewtwo just can't cut a break.

Or maybe becuase of the rampat hate of Mewtwo's playstyle makes the developers not want to risk putting Mewtwo in. The fact that a mass majority of people hated to play as Mewtwo due to his floaty nature and awkard model size, I mean why else would they get rid of Pokemon Trainer and keep Charizard, because people prefered playing Charizard over Squitle and Ivysaur.

And they way you unlocked him in Melee didn't help. Really I'd just wait until someone makes a Project M version of Smash 4 since I know people would put him there for that niche, but that's what Mewtwo is in the Smash scene a niche, a very risky niche.

As for the Lucario shilling I don't know, I mean I don't like using him in Pokemon that much and I hate the fact he's part Steel but I liked using him in Brawl because I liked how he played.

They got rid of Ivysaur & Squirtle for the same reason they separated ZSS/Samus & Zelda/Sheik. He didn't think the switchable characters ideas worked too well anymore. And he was absolutely right.

I mean, removing Mewtwo because he's floaty and played different is a stretch, since there are plenty of floaty characters in the game. The more logical of scenarios is that he just wanted to try new things and new characters. It's the same reason why some Brawl characters have been removed as well.

Most likely, though the question is why they kept Lucario and not include Mewtwo is still a mystery. I mean Lucario and Mewtwo have equal popularity I think, I mean the fact that Mewtwo has 2 Mega Evolutions prove that he's not unpopular.

For the record I don't hate Mewtwo and not want him in Smash, I just don't care for him as a Pokemon, character or fighter like I don't care for Lucario as a Pokemon I like using.

I admit that Mewtwo's controls are wonky and take some time to get used to. But once you do, he's downright deadly. I routinely kicked ass with Mewtwo. It's because of my proficiency with his lousy control scheme and awkward character model that I have something to prove. That's why I want him back.

I'll still hold out hope that he'll be a DLC at some point.

Yes, it very much sucks that Mewtwo isn't in the game, but that probably wasn't what Clefant was facepalming about.

Here's what bugs me about that fan's post:

There's loving a video game character, then there's loving a video game character more than your close family members.

The poster stated that he felt more mixed feelings when Mewtwo was excluded, than when he was at his close family member's funeral. I don't care how amazing and orgasmic the game/character is; who the [tornado fang] puts a fictional character over their own flesh and blood?

And then he goes on to say the September 11th bombing is only the second-worst thing to happen, in comparison? [parasitic bomb] like this is why I hate being associated with gamers, sometimes.

Zero Escape 3, the conclusion to the series, is looking extremely unlikely and it pisses me off. But would I choose it over my family? Hell no.

This sick [tornado fang] needs to get his priorities set straight.

I mean, I didn't like Meowdeux in Smash anyway (not because of his moveset or anything, mostly because of his obscene unlock requirement, not having any single player substitute bugged me. I never played Melee that much, I never really played as him outside of maybe classic mode.) but holy [tornado fang] that's just stupid.
