It's sort of like trigun, except it's set in a city where death rules all and you have miesters and other fantasy settings (Flame, you'll like this, it also has catgirls!).
Long story short, it's comical, with action and seriousness, plus backstabbing thrown into it. I already could tell right with the Witch disguising herself as a school nurse so she can revive an evil being. Otherwise known as: Medusa.
Plus she had to get help from a Werewolf and a Frog, tagging along with a mouse (and the emo, until later).
Then you have the main characters, one's ego-centric, one's the son of death and a huge fan of semmitry (how you spell that, IDK), and you got the typical female lead. Plus the side characters who are ACTUALLY USEFUL for a change instead of just "okay, a few episodes, and done!".
I haven't gotten far yet, going through chronological order anyway.
