Well, this was unexpected.

Nice of Namco Bandai to give people a whole game for free.

And look! They didn't screw it up with some unnecessary graphical update! Whoa! Who'd have thought you could release a classic game on mobile without redoing the main sprites?!

This was already posted in the Zelda thread but for the next four days (1/30 - 2/2), Four Swords Anniversary is free to celebrate A Link Between World's success.

So... Guess I'll go add that to my list.

Link to the Past is out on the Wii U in the US now. Still has the modification where the flashing in the title screen is dimmed because of Seizure fear.

Also bought The Castlevania Adventure on the 3DS because why the hell not.

Metal Slug 3's popping up on Steam in time for Valentines day.

I'm not even sure if the first two are on Steam.

EDIT: Just checked, they aren't. How odd.

Emulated SNK releases usually suck, though.

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Bought Crimson Shroud, since it's on sale on the eShop for $2.99. Only 10 minutes in and I'm already in love with the music.

Also, this is my first table-top RPG.

I hear it has some framerate issues (i.e. it locks to 30 fps after a certain amount of time; to fix this you have to restart your PC). Also it doesn't have online multiplayer.

That seems like a grevious error with the framerate.

The Online Multiplayer, no concern to me. But I imagine they'll patch it in later.

This could mean it's a port of the Windows 8 version, and not the superior disc versions on X360/PS3.

Pfft. Console peasant.

There was a GFWL version that was released only in the EU that didn't have that issue. I had torrented it for a short while and it ran without any framerate issues.

I'll probably pick up the Steam version anyways and hope Continuum Shift gets released on Steam too, since it's obvious my older brother's not giving that 360 back until he mooches off the rest of my year Gold subscription.

Basically a lot of people are saying its a shitty port but to buy it anyway in hopes of getting the newer ones.

I need to get better at fighters, so [tornado fang] it I'll buy them if they're cheap.

Pac-Man Museum came up a bit back.

Its rather pricy for what literally amounts to a bunch of easily emulatable/easy to find games (And Pac-Man Battle Royale) at $20, and its got some video issues (You can't resize any of the games, and the game is locked at 720p because Namco doesn't know how to make an option for PC resolutions apparently.) but I'm having fun with it.

The package entails:
Pac-Man (Duh)
Pac-Mania
Pac & Pal
Pac-Land
Super Pac-Man
Pac-Attack (Genesis version specifically.)
Pac-Man Battle Royale (The 4-Player Arcade game that came out recently, Local Multiplayer only though.)
Pac-Man Arrangement (NOT the awesome 1996 one with the bitching music, instead its the one from the PSP Namco Museum.)
Pac-Man Championship Edition (The original version, before DX and DX+)
Ms. Pac-Man is DLC, its free till the end of march then it becomes a staggering $5.

The most fun here is getting stamps for beating set goals. Problem is a lot of them are "Earn X Points" and the point values rack up to the 500,000 marker, which on the arcade games is [tornado fang]ing difficult as hell (so far the easiest game is PSP Arrangement and I still only managed 300,000 by the end of the game.) Collecting stamps unlocks little visual trinkets in the "Pac-Room", which just amounts to little props and the characters from that apparently terrible TV show.

I bought it because I've been waiting for this for a while, sucks that the 3DS/Wii U version got cancelled but it works fine on PC. But I can't recommend this, its only really for people who really really want to play lots of different Pac-Man games, who knows, maybe they'll add some more games later down the line, I'd love to see Pac-Man World or the Midway games.
