Well sorry for not getting the memo sooner/being passionate about one of my favorite developers getting more of their games out on PC.

In other news: buy any game at any price at GOG.com until October 17th, get The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut for FREE.

I'm saying its not really a big [tornado fang]ing deal, Ikaruga has been emulatable for ages, so the fact that its getting an official PC release, while neat and all, is nothing to make a spectacle post of.

But whatever, I'll shut up since apparently I'm bugging soo many people. Of course you could've just not replied too, you know.

The 3DS and Wii U Resident Evil games are getting sales till Halloween.

Resident Evil Revelations HD (Wii U) - $19.99 until October 31
Resident Evil Revelations (3DS) - $9.99 until October 31
Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (3DS) - $9.99 until October 31

Pretty good prices.

This week's VC games:

Wii U:
Baseball
Pinball

totally [tornado fang]ing worth full [tornado fang]ing price, these have been so missed and people have been wanting them for so long since the Wii U came out.

3DS:
Star Soldier

Oh and Super Castlevania 4 next week apparently, so among the [parasitic bomb] something good comes out.

Of course they could just KEEP THE [tornado fang]ing MOMENTUM but that's too much to ask anymore.

When I met Reggie on Thursday night, he was pretty receptive to our ideas. I even brought up that we need more Virtual Console titles (mostly on Wii U, since I couldn't think of anything). He asked what games I'd like to see.

All I could think of was FF6 and Secret of Mana (since those are on the JP eShop right now). Also I asked about the DKC trilogy since those were pulled from the Wii VC, seeing if they were being repurposed as Wii U VC titles. He wasn't able to say much but eh.

Should've brought up maybe X3 or MM7.

But that sucks that there was no official reason for the removal of the DKC.

well i didn't think about X3 cause it wasn't out in Japan yet (X2 is, or will be soon). Figured it would be an easier request to handle if it's already on the system in some form.

But if X2 comes here, that can make demand for the following game that much stronger.

I guess, X2 is out in Japan already while again we get such classics like Urban Champion.

I don't get how Nintendo determines which games to release.

so remember sega's 3D classics that dropped in Japan some time back? good news, they're comin' this way.
Quote
Today we are very excited to announce details on the highly anticipated 3D remake of iconic and arcade classics for the Nintendo 3DS. Each of these titles will be priced at $5.99/€4.99/£4.49 and available for download in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS. Release dates for the titles are as follows:

3D Space Harrier, 3D Super Hang-On – 11/28/2013
3D Sonic The Hedgehog, 3D Altered Beast – 12/5/2013
3D Ecco the Dolphin™, 3D Galaxy Force II – 12/12/2013
3D Shinobi III, 3D Streets of Rage – 12/19/2013

“These games were completely re-built to offer a robust 3D experience that offers more modern gameplay while still keeping true to the original,” commented John Cheng, President and COO, SEGA of America. “We look forward to bringing these classic SEGA titles to Nintendo 3DS for fans – both old and new.”

Source

Also for those who are worried that these are just LET'S ADD 3D DEPTH TO OLD GAMES YAY, don't worry. There's more to these than meets the eye.

Take, for example, what 3D Streets of Rage offers.
Quote
3D Streets of Rage will feature fully remapping options for the controls, a CRT-like filter for the image, sound options, save states, level select, stereoscopic 3D graphics, both the Japanese or overseas version of the game to choose whom you would like to play, and a unique new feature.
This time, it’s one-hit deathblow mode, a new option where you can defeat the enemies with only one hit, giving a new pace to the game who will make it easer to less experienced players. Also, there is local co-op multiplayer available, so if you and a friend have a Nintendo 3DS and a copy of the game each, you can play together this classic beat-em up.
So yeah. Look forward to these!

Sweet, really liking how 3D Streets of Rage is being handled. It reminds of how the new XBLA compilation of Streets of Rage brought the series with some of those features (access to the Japanese and overseas version, sound test, and re-mappable buttons). I'll be sure to add these games to my wishlist if I ever get a 3DS.

I've heard good things about some of these (Galaxy Force II and Streets of Rage) and eh reactions on Sonic 1 (Considering it's hot on the heels of the excellent iOS remake.) and Altered Beast.

I'll pick up some of them no doubt but it'll definitely be a case-by-case thing.
