Images here only really cared about width, due to scripts.
That said, I've been trying to figure out how to have a super-huge avatar within width for so long now, and he manages to do it by accident :\

I think the tip for this is having large images scaled down by the script. Which figures, since I have always cropped and resized avatars to the required dimensions.
