I used to like Little Caesar's when I was young  XD

It's possible that the Little Caesar's out there wasn't as terrible as the one in the K-Mart in Fresh Meadows.  I think I got violently ill from that slice...

and comparing Pizza Hut and the like to actual pizzerria pizza is like comparing a Whopper to a burger from a diner; they're effectively different foods.
Truth!

Nah all of it's stores close to here closed years ago, then like last year one opened up again.  It didn't taste anything like I remembered ^^;

Funny, I thought Little Caesar's went out of business in NYC, but maybe it was everywhere for a while.

WE DON'T!

Well, by my NYC Pizza standards, they never did!  XD
*High-fives PB*

I honestly never did like their dry pizza.  This just gives me one more reason not to eat it!  owob

I think we've got a little Caesar's out in town, but I'm not certain, I don't exactly leave my room very often.

I'm not sure if they went out of buisness or not, all I know is the stores that were here closed and replaced by other things.  Like a TCBY I think o.o

You know, I don't even know if we have a TCBY here in NYC.  Haha, I do know that Ninja Lou is obsessed with going to a Sonic's one day!

This topic made me so very hungry for spinach pizza.  And no pizza have I.  And no pizza should I eat in the evenings even if I had some.  Curse you. D:

Also from a NYer-turned Floridian's perspective.

*sagenod*

Also true, as I'd like to think there are NY style Pizza places in Florida, due to that reason.  But indeed, NY Pizza is essentially the best.  To have Pizza Hut or  Dominoes is the equivalent of an Italian going to the Olive Garden.

Notice how places like Pizza Hut have to try and jazz up their pizza with silly things like putting cheese in the crust, to make up for it's terrible taste.  Being a fast food pizza place, their pizza pies usually come pre packaged and made, and just shoved into a conveyor belt style oven to cook it as quickly as possible.  Their sauce is pre made, and quite frankly, god awful.  Nothing wrong with the Cheese & Flavored Crust, but the pre-packaged sauce is pretty awful.

Now look at this NY Style Pizza.  Notice the strong crust, perfectly holding up the delicious slice.  See how the cheese drips off of the slice and how well cooked it has been, cooked inside of a brick oven, the way Pizza is suppose to be prepared.  The sauce at good NY style pizzerias are prepared on the spot.  Not all of them are to everyone's liking mind you, which is why it's good to find good places in NYC to go to.  However, the sauce is not pre-packaged fast food McDonalds type crap, like Pizza Hut & Dominoes.

[tornado fang]ing PB, I had something witty to defend NYC style pizza (as if it needs defending) right before your post went up. XD

I wish I could have some NY styled pizza, pizza is my favorite food after all.

Woman, you don't know the half of it. Once you go NY you can't go back. XD

By the way, these pictures are not helping my quest to stay fit and low cholesterol. I wants Pizza now, and I've had it at least twice this week.

Oh, the NYC Style Pizza is cooked in a brick oven? Nevermind me then, everything like that is automatically superior. I still doubt your pizza is better than the ones at my favorite place (they're similar, I mean the actual taste), but that's something we'll never know...

You are now my hero. You really should add more about the beauty of how a brick oven cooks the hand-made New York Style crust to crispy perfection, however.

Yes, it is true.  The crust is also a key factor is good pizza science.  Mind you, there are those people who like weak, floppy crust.  I am not one of those people.  When my slice comes out of it's brick oven, not only should the cheese be bubbling, but when I hold the slice in my hand, the front of the slice should stay perfectly still, to signify the delicious crunch of the bite and the soon to be burnt roof of my mouth.  Crispy, brick over crust is also important for those who like to fold there pizza as to take more in with each bite.  I was never a folder, but that's my own preference.

Another reason for strong, delicious brick oven style crust would be toppings.  Pepperoni was my only topping of choice, but strong crust is essentially for keeping the slice strong enough to handle toppings.  Take this pie, for example.  You can see how nicely the crust is cooked here, due to the superiority of the brick oven.  A slice from this pie will stay strong, and the pepperoni will be well cooked as well.
