Leading the pack this week are stories concerning Rockman Megamix's "revival", Hitoshi Ariga's foray to re-release the fan favorite comic after years of being out of print.

Ariga Unveils New Megamix Concept Art

Ariga san recently updated his personal blog to include a few mock up sketches of future Megamix volumes. Ariga mentions the reprints are planned to retail for 1,524 Yen+additional tax. (roughly $15). He apologizes for the high price, citing it has something to do with the overall size of the books (reported to entail 300 pages) and a limited amount of copies available from the get-go.

In closing, Ariga once again reassured the newest Megamix volume, volume 4, is still underway.

Reprints On Their Way In May

Online shop Fukkan is now taking preorders for the reprints, set to ship at an unspecified date in May, 2009. Volume 1 and volume 2 will retail at an estimated price of tag of 1,600 Yen each ($16.98). Both issues come with all new cover art and a special forward by Ariga san himself.

In other non-Megamix news:

Star Force 3 Satellite Server Findings

MegaRock was able to dig around the US Star Force 3 website, accessing a few pages from the Satellite Server which have yet to be "published." In other words, the Satellite Server lists these pages as "coming soon" but the SWF for each is accessible, thus enabling us to see a few things Capcom doesn't want us knowing about yet.

The secret pages contain advance information on Black Ace, Red Joker and Rogue Noise forms. Click on the respective links to check them out.

Next Wavemasters Announced

It's that time again! From June 20th to the 21st, the Wavemasters 2009 qualifying finals kick off in Tokyo free of charge. Starting at 9am, the event will be held at the Makuhari Messe Hall 9-11, a decisive tournament to see who goes onto the finals. Winners will receive special "crown data" for SSR3.

Rules and regulations will be announced at a later date.

Wavemasters? Nice. I wonder what Battletard folders do the entrants have this year?

And I am so printing the Argia concepts, to use as a reference when I draw.. and a lovely Item-2.

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

And here I always visualized Item-2 as just riding a missile.  It's more of a rocket surf board.  Looks like Megaman's about to wipe out.  Hope he's not in Heat Man's level.

That satalite server info is nice.  Makes me glad I reserved Red Joker.  I'm betting most people will be picking Black Ace, but I'm always more inclined to just blast the crap out of things than use finesse.

Ah, so that's what happened to the old Items; Dr. Light gave them to Protoman.

...or did Protoman take them?
