Odd how I was mostly focused on how Windows 3.1 the OS seemed.  I'm such a dork.

I noticed that during the IMAX showing.  I also love how he promotes 300 in the flick too.

I wanna go see it again, see what other lil secrets are in it.

I liked how Dr. Manhattan's flesh had lil glowing bits moving around underneath.  That was a nice touch.  And the animators got the facial animation right so that he didn't end up in the Uncanny Valley.

back from Mario Galaxy (3 stars left till 1...well 4 till 121   8D) but before that, I saw Watchmen in Imax<3, it's also my first time seeing a movie in Imax.

in short, I am VERY pleased, even w/ expected changes (especially the ending), I am very pleased overall. Stylized fight scenes pleased me very much as well as the fun-to-listen-to reactions from two ladies beside me (mainly Jon's luminescent waggling penor and the oh-so-fun gory parts).  Oh and I LOVE how they did the beginning, showing all the minute and their fates (it's also kinda of a pleasing fanservice for those who read the graphic novel beforehand) and other things etc etc.

i'd give it a 10 cups of honey nut cheerios out of 10~

Heh, a number of Watchmen actors were on Rachel Ray today and Rachel said the sex scene was beautiful. XD

Rorschach was by far the most well done character of the bunch, I find. I don't quite know what to think of the ending... some very good lines were taken out, or switched to be said by someone else (resulting in that they actually have less meaning). Oh well, still a good movie overall.

Thinking back on my viewing, was Bubastis even needed in the film? From what I gathered, her brief unexplained appearance bewildered the casual moviegoer.

There might be some cut scenes in which Bubastis was explained.  She may have been left in the theatrical cut as removing her would screw up the final cut, and to match some of the panels, she was needed.

LoL, weigh your options though...Bewilder the Casual Moviegoer, or REAAAALLY [tornado fang]ing [acid burst] off the Nerd fans this movie was truly for!  XD

Casual Moviegoers are small potatoes.  Bubastis needed to be in it.

I just got back from seeing Watchmen again, and I noticed something.
As readers know, the ending catastrophe was altered from the original, which was a giant squid thing.  Though, in the scene where Dr. Manhattan is about to teleport the reactor to Karnak, on the wall behind Adrian and the scientists is a sign that reads something I didn't quite catch but spells out the acronym "SQUID".   And in that same scene, when the reactor appears in Karnak, at that angle it resembles the squid thing.  So in a way, we had our giant squid.

It's shown twice too.  The first time is the one you mentioned.  The second is when you see all the cities it's been transported too. S.Q.U.I.D. is shown there too.
...I need to see it a third time 'cause I missed that. XD

Though, when I went to see it this evening, there was a couple in the same row who spent most of the movie making out.  How very distracting.

Thought was awesome except for one thing.  And Dr. Manhattan is involved

You're absolutely correct.  I thought it could've used a little more [ray splasher].

I agree w/ this to be honest.  Before I saw the movie, a couple of people I know kept ranting about the insane amount of blue penor showing and I for one was disappointed w/ lack of blue penor in the graphic novel (my friend said there's alot of it near the end, so I expected, but not enough).  So I see the movie, not enough.

People clearly overexagerrate...or pron and hentai doujins toughened me up.

Speaking of, any topless action goin' on with the only female in the group? I read the tiny reasons why it was rated R: "Excessive Nudity".  8D

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

If you've read the graphic novel, you'll notice that there were boobs in it.  There were boobs in the movie, too.  So yes, topless action. XD
