Roleplay / Re: Wilypocalypse NOW

Meanwhile, on a transport heading towards the Wily Star II, Reaper's tinkering away at the Crossbone Gundam to keep himself occupied. A Wily II soldier watches over him, mainly to make sure that he wasn't up to something. The soldier gripped his gun, uneasy that he was alone supervising this man that could probably crush him at any moment's notice. Why did Wily II decide to trust this relatively unknown stranger? He clearly has a hatred of the Resistance, but he seems somewhat unstable as well. It doesn't help that he's piloting a Gundam of all things. The soldier gripped his gun even harder as his concerns rose. Reaper lets out a sigh.

"Look, I don't mind you watching me work, but try to keep a lid on the bloodthirst, would ya? It's very distracting, and I'm tempted to make it stop... by any means necessary," Reaper said, slowly turning his head back to look at the soldier. The soldier gulps and backs away slowly, gripping his gun harder still. Reaper sighs, getting up and turning to face the soldier. "Would you feel better if I told you what I was doing, so you can report it properly?"

"I... yes," the soldier stammered, clearly still on edge.

"Since the Resistance is bound to attack the Wily Star II, I'm prepping the Crossbone here to fit within an armed base. That way I won't run out of ammunition like I did during the assault on the SexStation," Reaper answered, pointing his thumb backwards towards the Gundam.

"An armed base? We don't have anything like that ready at the Wily Star II," the soldier replied, his attitude shifting from nervous to disbelieving. "Where do you plan on getting one of those?"

"Like the Crossbone, I'm going to make it," Reaper answered, pulling out a blueprint he had drafted before he started work on the Crossbone; a heavily modified version of the Dendrobium. "I prepared this just in case I would need it. There's a lot more... unknowns... than I would like, although I'm glad to be rid of the bunny clone; she was one of the worst to deal with last time."

"... Last time?" the soldier asked, confused as to what he meant.

"I've told you what I'm doing. That should be good enough, yes?" Reapers interrupts, deflecting the question.

"I... well, I guess so," the soldier replies, more at ease than before. He was now curious to know more, but he figured that it was in his best interest to back off.

"Good; now stay out of my way as I work," Reaper growled as he turned back around and continued his work on the Crossbone.

That's concerning... Fxeni thought after hearing of Sakura's Ego instability. It's certainly something to keep an eye on.

"Well, there's no harm in talking to Peebs about it. Do what you can with what you have, right?" Fxeni chimes in, uncrossing his arms. "Well, whenever she wakes up anyways. On that note, is there anything else you want to mention?"

"I most certainly don't intend to disappoint, and I doubt I shall with what I have in mind," Reaper says with a grin under his mask. "Thank you for your time, Doctor."

"You better not! I've dealt with enough failures lately!" Dr. Wily II exclaims as he closes the comm, clearly annoyed about something.

"Please load up my Gundam into a transport; the sooner I get to the Wily Star II, the better," Reaper tells a minion as he walks out of the bridge, plans forming in his mind.

So PB was already acting weird before the war even started huh... Fxeni pondered. He had figured that the war was what was getting him down, but there must've been more to it. He hopes he'll have the time to speak with him about what's going on, sooner than later. For now, though, there's his apprentice.

"Thanks for letting us know about all this, I'm sure it wasn't easy," Fxeni said, his mind analyzing all the information. One thing stuck out to him though, and he figured it would be best just to come out with it. "Why are you telling us this now? Are you worried that it might... interfere with what needs to be done, somehow?"

"By ensuring the Resistance weasels here in space are dealt with," Reapers says with a sinister grin, although it is hidden beneath his mask.

Reaper pauses momentarily, gathering his thoughts to figure out a way to convince the Doctor. He would greatly enjoying watching the Sexstation be dismantled in the most glorious way possible.

"I'll even pledge myself to ensuring that every single one of them is disposed of, even if Fxeni has already been killed. Deal?" he says, holding out his gloved robotic hand in a gesture of agreement.

DWII leaned back into his chair, massaging at his forehead at this new predicament. A Gundam? Not a lot of people can pilot one. He knew of all the ones in the Resistance... But a Gundam that is apparently on his side? There is a lot of questions... And it might be answered soon, as his console beeped again.

"Good day, Doctor," Reaper says as the feed to the WDS stabilizes. "I trust everything is going well on your end?"

"You are..." Dr. Wily II says with a pause, momentarily wracking his brain to recall who the devil this was. "Ah right, you're the one who was in command of... Hel, was it? That's YOUR Gundam in the Hangar?"

"It is indeed, Doctor," Reaper replies with a nod. "Unfortunately, it got somewhat roughed up while dealing with the bunny girl and... someone else I lack any knowledge of. At any rate, I would like to request a transport to the Wily Star II so I can fix it and make some... improvements."

"Fair enough... Well, we'd best go meet up with Borock-Bot in that case," Fxeni said, tapping around on the screen on his glove. "Looks like he's still in the Main Ops. Let's meet up with him there and we'll grab one of the side rooms. Kit'll probably be curious though... are you alright with the idea of her tagging along?"

"I don't mind; she should probably hear this too," Sakura answered with a slight nod.

"Alright; Shall we?" Fxeni said with a smile, leading the way to the Main Ops room. The walk there is relatively quiet as everyone gathers their thoughts, and within a few minutes they walk in to see Borock-Bot and Kit working away monitoring the defenses with a small group of others. Fxeni walks up nest to Borock-bot, getting his attention. "Borock-Bot, you have a moment?"

"Seeing as there are none of Wily II's forces around at the moment, sure," Borock-Bot replies, stepping back from his station. This gets Kit's attention, as she is looking over obviously curious.

"What's up?" Kit asks slyly as she wanders over casually.

"You come along too, Kit; you should probably hear this too," Fxeni answers as he gestures towards the side room where everyone else were starting to gather up already.

"Ooooo... are we going to have one of PBs patented sexy hobnobs?" Kit says with a large grin on her face.

"I... somehow doubt that," Fxeni answers, walking towards the room with Kit in tow.

"Aww boo!" Kit exclaims in disappointment as she walks into the room right behind Fxeni.

Back in space, Reaper is doing his best to keep the Crossbone together. The energy reaction of the Full Cloth's generator having a meltdown caused a lot more damage to the suit than he can handle from merely within the cockpit, and he doesn't exactly have all the necessary tools with him at the moment.

Blast those... visions! He thinks to himself angrily as he furiously tinkers away at the suit's console, managing the power levels of the Crossbone on the fly to keep it stable. As he does this he also searches for the closest Wily II foothold in the area where he could land, since the Wily Star II is too far to reach in this state. The closest thing that pops up is the DWII Yamato, which was stationed right outside the battle zone. Guess that'll have to do... Reaper muses as he opens up a comm link to the ship.

"Hailing DWII Yamato! Crossbone requesting permission to land!" Reaper says over the comm. At first there's no response, but then one of the hangar doors slowly opens with guiding lights shimmering at its edges.

"Permission to land granted. Please lower your speed upon entry," a robotic voice replies dryly over the comm.

"I guarantee nothing," Reaper replies somewhat grimly as he looks at the monitor. He braces for impact as he enters the hangar, the feet of the Crossbone colliding with the floor within hard. He turns the Crossbone around and gets it to collapse somewhat safely forward, the legs and arms skidding across the ground to slow its momentum. The cockpit shakes violently as the suit grinds to a halt, narrowly avoiding hitting the wall. Reaper opens the cockpit and drops out, overlooking the damage done to the ship.

Minimal damage... managed pretty well all things considered he thinks to himself as he looks around, then at the Crossbone. It did well, all things considered; PBPB was tougher this time around than the first. The other one was a surprise and should have been easy to handle, but... he thought as he clutched the left side of his helmet. He shakes it off and walks towards the closest engineer.

"Where's the elevator to the bridge?" Reaper asks the engineer as he approaches.

"Why didn't you slow down? You could have wrecked-" the engineer starts to say, but is cut off as he is grabbed and lifted off the ground by a singular arm.

"Where. Is. The. Elevator." Reaper enunciates slowly with a menacing tone, holding back the urge to do more.

"R-Right over there sir!" the engineer replies, his voice shaking as much as he was.

"Thank you," Reaper replies, dropping the engineer down to the ground and walking off to the elevator. The engineer quickly scrambles off to examine the Crossbone as Reaper gets in the elevator and rides it up to the bridge.

"Hey, wait for me!" Eira exclaims as she jumps up through the hole in the roof. She lands on the metal above with a clang, then assumes a stance ready to fight.

I wish she wouldn't do that... Altrean thinks while sighing. He looks around the room and notices the chest in the middle of the room. He decides to keep an eye on it; the roof is likely getting too crowded anyways.

"... Fine," Eira responds reluctantly, getting off of the Dwarf and backing off. She stops in front of Altrean and points up at the man, and exclaims  "You win for now, but nothing escapes my fists forever!"

"I really wish you wouldn't yell, my ears are still ringing..." Altrean stammers, rubbing his temple.

He can tell? Eira thinks to herself as she looks up at him. She hopes that no one else heard it, else it could cause some problems. In an uncharacteristic show of restraint, instead of brashly responding she merely strengthened her hold on the Dwarf.

"A gunshot? Well that can't be good. Eira, before you-" Aldrean started to say as he grabbed his hammer. Before he could finish though, Eira had already burst out of the cabin and was sprinting down the hall towards the origin of the blast. Aldrean let out a sigh as he rushed after her.

Further down the hallway, Eira picks up the pace as another gunshot rings out through the hall of the train. She spots the silhouette of someone attempting to exit the room, holding an object she is well familiar with. The Dwarf notices her rushing towards him and decides to fire upon her. A shot rings out down the hallway but misses its target, followed by a grunt as Eira tackles the Dwarf back into the room. While he is temporarily winded, Eira takes the opportunity to bend the barrel of the rifle just enough so that it couldn't be used anymore.

Back in the hallway, Aldrean is running as quickly as his Dwarf legs will allow. The gunshot that was aimed at Eira whizzes by and shatters a window right behind him, surprising him enough to dive to the ground in response. After a moment he gets back up and runs to the room at the end of the train.

"What in the blazes is going on?" he exclaims as he sees Eira pinning a Dwarf down, and several other people on the ground as well.

In a cabin further down the train, there sat a pair. An odd pair to be sure; one was a Dwarf, calmly sifting through a book. The other was a woman, who was decidedly not calm. She fidgeted in place as she sat, looking out the window in an attempt to see something… anything… interesting to her. Not much luck was had in that.

“This train is so boring!” the woman exclaims, breaking the long held silence. She looks over at the Dwarf, who seems unfazed by her exclamation. “You've gone over that book several times already! How can you keep doing that?”

“It doesn’t hurt to make sure I haven’t missed anything in my preparation,” the Dwarf answers, his gaze still fixated on the text of the page. Truth be told he already remembered everything in the book; he simply didn’t know what else to do to pass the time.

“Sureeeee… whatever you say,” she replies as she slumps back into her seat, clearly not believing him. Her ears perk up as she hears the footsteps of someone running down the hall, breaking the otherwise calm tedium of the train ride thus far. “Someone’s running… hey, maybe something’s finally happening on this boring train! About time!”

“I hope not…” the Dwarf mutters, if only because he would much rather not deal with the fallout of her actions. The footsteps approach the cabin door at a strong pace, then continue by just as quickly.

“I’m going to take a look,” the woman says as she gets up and peeks out the door into the hallway.

“I really wish you wouldn’t Eira… remember what happened at the Inn before we left?” the Dwarf interjects, his gaze finally breaking from the book to look at her.

“It’s not my fault that she sounded like she was in pain, Al!” Eira snaps back as she momentarily pulls her head back in the room to look at the Dwarf. He merely sighs and looks back at the book in his hands. After letting out a small sound of annoyance, she leans her head back out of the door of the cabin to see what was going on.

Aldrean Runebringer

Age: 86
Gender: Male
Race: Dwarf
Hair: Reddish-brown
Eyes: Blue

A Dwarf hailing from the Jagged Peaks. Ostracized due to his excessive interest in Magitech. Exiled after he reactivated a Guardian despite being explicitly told to dispose of it by the heads of the clan. Now roams aboveground with the Guardian he reactivated, Eira, performing odd jobs to eke out a living.

Calm and calculative, he can be somewhat oblivious to any display of extreme emotion. This can put him at odds with Eira, whose brash nature gets them into situations he would much prefer avoid. His affection for her mitigates any long term issues, however.

He would much rather use his hammer for repairing and smithing, and isn’t much for combat. He can protect himself if need be, but he certainly won’t be at the front lines.

Eira

Age: ??
Gender: Female appearance
Race: Guardian
Hair: Blonde (usually in a braid)
Eyes: Purple

A Guardian predating the ancient war. Was deactivated for unknown reasons before the Magitech uprising, thus did not partake within. Discovered and reactivated by Aldrean.

Brash by nature, she is quick to get into scraps with anyone who displays aggression towards her. She can back her boasts, being proficient in direct forms of combat. Her preferred weapon is her fists, and any other weapons she may use tend to get discarded quickly (in the general direction of her opponent if she can help it). If her fists aren’t doing the job, she’ll infuse them with electrical mana to increase her strikes.

She may have other hidden functions, however she currently cannot recall how to access them. She has no memory from her time before her reactivation by Aldrean.

“This is my job, you don't need to worry about it. Besides, it was a nice breath of fresh air to have someone other than the injury magnet to look at for once,” Emma replies, a smirk gracing her face.

“You know you'll miss me once I'm gone!” Fxeni exclaims, halfway through the door already.

“It'll certainly be quieter around here!” Emma responds loudly, shaking her head. She glances over at PBPB, then focuses on Sakura. “Now go on, you've got a job to do, and so do I.”

“We have to make sure that you don't have anything first. Giving you vaccines while you have a disease isn't in your best interest,” Emma explains as she walks up to the machine that was testing Sakura's blood. She quickly analyzes the results. “Well, it doesn't look like there's anything; ready for more needles?”

“I guess so,” Sakura responds, unfazed by the prospect of more needles.

“Now I'm really happy I don't have to deal with that,” Asch says as he fidgets uncomfortably in place. He winces a bit as he watches the needles go into Sakura. Fxeni chuckles a bit to himself watching Asch squirm.

“There… you should be set for a while,” Emma says as she finishes injecting the final needle into Sakura. She looks over to the clearly uncomfortable Asch. “Alright, ready for yours?”

“N-no thanks!” Asch exclaims, backing away a bit.

“Alright, I guess we're done here then,” Fxeni says as he gestures towards the door. Before moving though, he looks over at PBPB. “Hey Emma… let me know when she's awake again, would you?”

“… Sure,” Emma replies, holding back her trademark snark for once.

“Thanks,” Fxeni replies with a smile, ready to head back to the hangar.

"As ready as I'll ever be I guess." Sakura sighed as she got up. "So uh how is this gonna work, I honestly don't know much about medical work beyond overly dramatized stuff I sometimes see on TV, is there anything you need me to do?"

“Look through the lenses of this instrument,” Emma says and as she gestures, a slit next to the edge of the examination table that Sakura was sitting on opens up and a phoropter rises from within.

“Umm… alright,” Sakura replies as she sits down in front of it and looks into it, unsure of what the device is supposed to do.

“Can you see clearly?” Emma asks, fiddling with the settings on the phoropter.

“Everything's clear,” Sakura replies, shifting a bit in her spot to align a bit better with the object in front of her.

“Alright… how about now?” Emma asks after switching lenses.

“Still clear,” Sakura answers. This surprises Emma a bit, who takes a look at Sakura’s eyes. Their irises were slightly red, as opposed to their natural green.

“Odd…” Emma mutters, switching the lenses. She glances at Sakura's eyes, both of them having a fully red iris. “Still clear?”

“Yup,” Sakura replies casually.

“Fascinating…” Emma says as she notes down the results, the phoropter sliding back down from whence it came. She walks next to Sakura and pulls back her hair, revealing her ear so that she can examine it.

“Hmm? I didn't know you had pointed ears Sakura,” Fxeni stated inquisitively.

“I… usually don't show them. I have my reasons not to…” Sakura explains vaguely.

“I won't pry then,” Fxeni says, his curiosity peaked however.

“Your ears are fine,” Emma states as she finishes checking both ears. She pulls out a needle. “I'm going to need some of your blood for tests; is that fine?”

“I don't mind,” Sakura says, completely unfazed by the needle.

“Most people don’t like needles; heck, I have to knock that guy over there out to be able to get some blood,” Emma says snarkily as she takes some blood from Sakura.

“Now that’s patently not true… you just take the blood sample when I’m already knocked out!” Fxeni replies half-jokingly, as he cannot recall the last time he had a needle in him.

“Touché,” Emma says as she finishes taking the blood from Sakura, taking the vial of blood and inserting it into a nearby analyzer and began the process.

“I’m glad I don’t have to do deal with that…” Asch mutters under his breath.

“Next, we'll examine the rest of you,” Emma says as a screen drops from the ceiling, blocking the view from the outside. “Don't either of you peek… I'm not too worried about the robot, but I’ve seen McInjurAlot's teleport sex antics!”

“That was Peebs! You know I can't teleport!” Fxeni exclaims.

“Well clearly not, considering you'd probably be able to not get hurt for once if you could,” Emma retorts slyly. She begins to examine Sakura's body as Fxeni mutters incomprehensibly to himself. She notices a sizable amount of scars on her body, although her vitals are perfectly fine otherwise. “Well, I guess you're not the only one getting hurt for once considering these scars. Hers are mostly faded though, likely from a while back. Unlike you.”

“Uh huh,” Fxeni vocalizes, deciding not to continue giving Emma more to work with.

“Scars…” Asch says to himself quietly, seemingly deep in thought.

“Well, we're pretty much done here,” Emma says as she wraps up checking everything. The screen rises back up, revealing a somewhat relieved Sakura. “I'll let you know when I have the results for your blood. Do you need anything else? Does fauxPB need a checkup too?”

“… I think I’m good,” Asch replies.

“Well, now that that outburst is out of the way, who's next? The… Leader, the Robocopy, or McBleedy here?” Emma asks, completely unfazed by Asch's verbal assault. She had completed stabilizing PBPB while Asch spoke.

“I guess you should do me, so I can stop bleeding on your floor,” Fxeni chimed in, a drop of blood splattering on the grating below.

“Yes, I suppose that would be logical. Is that fine with our leader?” Emma asks.

“Emma… don't give her a hard time, she doesn't want to be here as it is,” Fxeni interjects before she can drag it out any further.

Emma glances over at Sakura, whose uneasiness seems to have already increased. She sighs and looks back at Fxeni, beginning to fix him up. “Tell me… do you think she can handle it?”

Fxeni remains silent for a moment as Emma worked. He gently bites the inside of his lip. He looks Emma in the eyes, brow a bit furrowed. “… As long as she remembers that she's not alone in handling this.”

“Interesting answer,” Emma replies. Before she asks any follow-up questions, Fxeni glares at her in a way she had never seen before. This prompts her to think twice about it. “I'm done with the endless source of injury here; Are you ready Sakura?”

“Now that that's all taken care of, can I get to work?” An all too familiar voice to Fxeni chimes in. Moments later, the holographic image of Emma Watson sputters into view next to PBPB's bed. “I think she's been hanging around you too much; she managed to get as roughed up as you usually do.”

“I was wondering where your trademark sass was,” Fxeni replied with a sigh.

“My systems were temporarily redirected to scan for hazardous energy in the hangar, which I assume has something to do with miss gazongas galore here,” Emma snips as she examines PBPB.

“You would be right, sadly,” Fxeni replies a tad grimly.

“I usually am. I know you're here since you have an injury, because of course you do,” Emma says with a quick glance at Fxeni with her holographic eyes, “but what about them? The long haired ginger isn't even organic, and the girl is… well, I have no file for her surprisingly.”

“Well… I just wanted to play it safe, since we just got out of a battle. I don't want any sudden surprises in the middle of a scuffle. Mind checking them out once you get Peebs stable?” Fxeni answered, turning his gaze over to the others.

“Certainly, if only because I'm programmed to do so. The girl does seem a bit unnaturally on edge.” Emma says, looking at Sakura. She turns her head towards Asch and asks "Any reason in particular?"

Back at the Fxegama Asch got out of his Mobile Suit though he did feel a little wobbly.

"Everything regarding my systems seem to be okay, though I'm still a little shaken up." Asch admitted "Just trying to calm down best I can, that was probably the most intense battle for me so far to be honest, but I know it's only gonna get more nuts from here."

Sakura quitely got out of her suit and simply decided to stare out one of the windows for the moment to collect herself and think about her next course of action.

“Yeah, we still have our work cut out for us,” Fxeni replies, cringing as he touches around the left side of his forehead. He glances over at Sakura momentarily, but decides against saying anything more at this point in time.

He looks over at the FXE-Z. It’s in pretty rough shape; the active cloak is gone, the armour is melted away in places, and the joints are all shot. The engineer team is hard at work on it, but he seems unsure whether they’ll be able to get it back in shape in time. He’ll try helping to fix it, but in the back of his mind he knows that he might have to go out in his Arwing next time. He sighs and looks back over to Asch.

“I’m going to go get this checked out in the medbay,” Fxeni says as he gestures in the general vicinity of his cut, “I suggest you two get a checkup there too. Even if you’re fine outwardly, it would be best to play it safe. Up to you though.” He subtly points at Asch, then motions his finger over to Sakura. That done, he starts to make his way out of the medbay slowly, curious to see if Asch and Sakura will come along or if they decide to stick around here.

As the Fxegama approaches, the hangar bay doors open and GMs syphon out. They split up into groups and carefully bring the damaged Mobile Suits back through the doors from whence they came. Once back inside the confines of the hangar, a group of engineers hurriedly rush up to inspect the damage done. A woman with short red hair approaches the FXE-Z as Fxeni emerges from the cockpit.

“Do you always come back this battered?” Ariani asks as she sees the cut on the left side of his face.

“I want to say no, but my track record as of late hasn't been that great,” Fxeni replies with a sigh. “Sorry about the state of the suits… it's been rough.”

“Don't worry about it… we'd probably all be dead if it weren't for you guys,” she replies with a smile. “Would be nice if the suits didn't get wrecked so often though.”

“Agreed…” Fxeni mutters as he walks towards the Magmarock. “Hey Asch! Are you alright in there?”

“Don't beat yourself up too much Sakura, these things happen. And hey, we're all still alive!” Fxeni says over the comm. … Barely, he thinks to himself as he examines the readings for the FXE-Z. He opens up a comm link to the Fxegama.

“Fxescythe Zeta to Fxegama, do you read?” he says,  taking off his helmet in the process.

“We hear you Commander; is it safe to launch?” the comm officer asks.

“Mobile armour is down, so it's safe. I'll need a pickup, I don't think the FXE-Z can get there reliably,” Fxeni replies as he fiddles around with the console.

“Roger that, on our way!” she replies firmly, closing the comm link. With that, the Fxegama emerges from the Triple M.

boforte laughed as he finally sees explosions that are not coming from his mobile armour... Only to stare aghast that the three mobile suits were still mostly intact, although one did seem a bit more worse for wear.

boforte - GAH YOU ASSHOLES! JUST DIE!!!

The head of the mobile armour began to detach from the main body, and charged towards the FXE-Z with a glowing red eye, while the skull eyes on the main body unleashed another wide sweeping laser blast at the other two mobile suits.

Now's our chance… I just hope the FXE-Z holds together! Fxeni thinks to himself as he grasps the controls tightly. He glances over what's left of the console in front of him; most of it was wrecked and was of no use in its current state. He will have to rely on his instincts. Almost on cue, he senses an enormous aggressive pressure making a beeline towards him.

“Is that all you've got? From all your posturing, I expected to be space dust by now!” Fxeni taunts over the comm, the FXE-Z brandishing its Beam Scythe at the ready.

“JUST DIEEEEEEE!!!” boforte yells back, the head of the mobile armour picking up speed. The FXE-Z fires its vulcans as a distraction, thrusters prepped for action. As the head was about to make contact, the FXE-Z boosted upwards and then rammed into the head.

Hold together! Fxeni thinks to himself as he pushes the thrusters to the max, leading the mobile armour's head towards one of the beams coming from the body.

I want to get this but if the NES Classic is any indication, that won't be happening. I just hope they release StarFox 2 in other ways as well.

There will likely be some sort of larger collection down the line, or a bundle of them all at least. Still kinda sucks that they split them up though.
