1) The plot of RnR3 revolves around stopping a gigantic meteor from crashing into the Earth. Hmm.... Sounds oddly like the plot of FF7...
Or Armageddon. Or Deep Impact!
2) The hardest boss of RnR3? An Angelic-Looking Bishi with long, flowing hair. Hmm.... Sounds oddly similar to the hardest boss of FF7...
Sephiroth was far from being the strongest boss of FF7. And Kefka came earlier.
3) Take a look at Burai's new sword. Then take a look at Riku's Souleater Blade. Notice any similarities? At all?
Yep. Both look really dumb.
4) Next, take a look at Laplace; mainly the eyes and claws. Then, take a look at any Heartless from KH. Notice any similarities there?
A black face with glowing eyes isn't really uncommon.
5) While we're on the topic of "Heartless"; what's the name of King's Right-Hand Woman? Heartless, you say? Amazing.
It's not her fault. She lost it in a car crash!
6) One of Dia Iceburn's attacks is called "Diamond Dust". What has the signature attack been for the Summon "Shiva", from every FF Game ever made? You guessed it. "Diamond Dust."
Meh I could care less.
If anyone finds any more similarities, please, feel free to add on.
Both are videogames! :o
Nah seriously, both are completely different games. Should these be on purpose then it's still far away from any kind of copyright infringement.

Ruby Weapon and Emerald Weapon would like to have a word with you.

Generic plot

Generic boss

Because it's certainly not because of the kind of sword it is ::)
4) Next, take a look at Laplace; mainly the eyes and claws. Then, take a look at any Heartless from KH. Notice any similarities there?
Eh, a little, but I say he looks more like a generic dark enemy.
5) While we're on the topic of "Heartless"; what's the name of King's Right-Hand Woman? Heartless, you say? Amazing.
Someone had to have "Heart" in his/her name to complete the set you know.

Yeah, there definitely is no such thing as diamon dust in real life ::)

Both Moon Disaster and Apollo Flame use meteors, does that help at all?
As for Point #2... yeah, Sirius is nasty, since he can strike any weakness very often.
But, in terms of the secret Σ bosses, I had more trouble with Apollo Flame than Sirius.

I'll just say that was quite possibly the most reaching list of "blatants." They're just generic plots and terms and nothing more.

How many years has Square made Final Fantasy games now? Eventually, there'll be some overlap somewhere. Especially if you consider the entire series (and Kingdom Hearts) as a whole.
-
What, no parallel between MMBN4 and FF7? For shame.
Or for that matter, I think the dinosaurs copied off of FF7, too. Just re-cast the entire FF7 crew with dinosaurs, and that's exactly what happened many, many years ago. 8D

X5 had it too.

Simpson did it! >BD

X5 had it too.
A Space Colony is not a Meteor.
EXE4 did a meteor/anti-planet missile, X5 did COLONY DROP.

0v0 Love that episode~
Best part was Homer predicted how it would crumble to pieces. >U<

it was still a "STOP THE GIANT OBJECT FROM CRASHING INTO EARTH" thing.

And we're not implying that you were implying that Capcom copied SE.
We just disagree. Mostly.
-
Since people seem to be getting the wrong idea, let me state this:
I am not, in any way, shape, or form; trying to imply that Capcom copied Square-Enix. I'm pointing out that there are many SIMILARITIES between RnR3 and FF/KH. Sheesh.
And we're implying that this stuff has been done to death outside of SE games too.

Now you've made me want to play Dinosaur Final Fantasy. Where's my Dinosaur Final Fantasy??

LOL, do it borock, the Beast said so. XD

Emerald was a bishie?
I thought it was Ruby :\
-
Ruby's a wuss. Emerald can actually one hit kill, never mind the Underwater time limit factor... unless you're a [sonic slicer] and just use the Underwater Materia
Oh, and don't Knights of the Round/Bahamut Zero spam rush him.
-
Both were easy.
Ruby just took more time to kill.

everythings easier when you spam summons.
-
No summon spam.
Emerald - Less is more. Only equip what you need. Some heal and support materia. Easy to kill with Limit Breaks and physical attacks
Ruby - LOL STOP-SPELL WORKS
