Bubble Man's eyes creep me out a bit.
-
I don't trust Hollywood to make a good adaptation of Megaman. (Mr. Espinoza's artwork is fantastic, however)
-
It needs to inspire the original game. In which I mean it has to have a good score, plenty of action, and fresh, non cartoony designs. I didn't mean the dying alot.
-
I find that baby face megaman to be quite creepy.
Live action please.
-
Only if Metal Man is killed by his own weapon...
-
I was actually hoping if a megaman movie would be made that it would be in the same way, but without any added in non-canonic characters (unless Chelsea)
But these designs have the look all wrong...
-
This is going to be just like the Ruby-Spears cartoon: sub-par.
-
"Going to be"? Where did you get the idea that a movie's actually being made?
-
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUCK Excuse me, I meant "if there existed such a movie".
-
This is going to be just like the Upon a Star OVA: sub-par.
Fixed.
Honestly, I don't think Hollywood is interested. And if they were, they'd dump it on Uwe Boll.
-
Uwe Boll needs to be executed, for the sake of mankind! Besides, if they did make a movie and try to dump it on Uwe Boll, fans would cause an uprising and Capcom would sue Hollywood.
-
Anyway, back to the topic: I couldn't see the article, and if Hollywood cranked out a Mega Man movie, then I presume that the general Mega Man fan base would RAGE incessantly.
I would like to see an anime series though.
-
They did, only it was of the Rockman EXE games instead of the Rockman Classic.
-
a working link would be good

Huh.
Well then, derp. (http://kotaku.com/5520095/if-mega-man-was-a-hollywood-cartoon-it-would-look-a-lot-like-this-%5Bupdate%5D/gallery/)

What if Hollywood made a MegaMan movie similar to the recent AstroBoy movie?
Then I wouldn't go see it.
-
Then I wouldn't go see it.
Stop your lies. You would go and see it. WE ALL WOULD, NO MATTER HOW BAD IT LOOKS. 8D
Also, don't forget Mr. LeBron's movie will be coming out soon.

I've obviously been livin' under a rock, because I have no idea what you mean by this.

I think this is it. (http://megaman.ningin.com/)

I must admit, those are some really nice renders. I'd hazard they're made in Maya and rendered with Mental Ray. That looks like Mental Ray.
-
I wouldn't mind a MM in the veign of the Astroboy movie. Megaman actually has a lot less to change. He has no abusive, absent father. His costume isn't him in just underpants. And his overall drawn look has varied enough over the years to allow for some flexibility (especially in the face; while Astro's style of drawing is MUCH more fixed since he's one of the most classic anime characters of all time).
I wouldn't mind seeing one new Robot Master in the movie. Just one will do. Maybe they could kill him quickly.
-
In my opinion, if this movie is gonna illustrate his origins (sort of), then they should actually have Gutsman, Elecman, Cutman, etc instead of the Rockman 2 Robot Masters, like those images have shown.
-
You realize, Sapph, its not a real movie? Guy just decided to make a few of the 2 RM's. I myself would have wanted to see Qickman though. :C
-
As with Astro Boy, Hollywood has shown time and again, that when it comes to things from japan, be it anime, or video games, they are entirely incapable of grasping the very basic concept of "respect the source material." It is like an toddler trying to understand the distance between Earth and Pluto. You can tell, them but such an idea is not within their current capacity to grasp. Such is the case with Hollywood and source material.
-
I can't disagree more, FragMan. The Astro Boy movie had all the all the charm of the real thing, and was chock-full of references to the whole franchise. Sure, it changed a whole lot of elements, but AstroBoy already had four or more completely different adaptations preceding this movie; re-imagining the franchise for a new audience has become the norm.
-
I want a MegaMan movie that mixes all 7 of the series together
It would be MADNESS
-
That's nice. XD
-
Yeah, there'd be like, a blue robot and a red robot, and they'd hunt for treasure in space and cyberspace while defending stuff from evil robots. No one will complain about scrambled continuity if the movie takes only the AWESOME parts of the games!
