This is what I did all of yesterday! The Light Wings were a [tornado fang]ing [sonic slicer] to put on, but it was WELL worth it.
Do you have the same issues with the knee joints as I had? The upper "joint" doesn't move on mine, in fact it broke on one of my legs when I tried to move it because the parts were so stiff on mine.
They were rather stiff, yeah. I mean, I got it in the pose that I wanted, but it did take a lot more effort than with other models. Were the Light Wings a pain for you as well, or did I just fail an intelligence test? 8D
Sadly, I don't have the Extreme Burst version, only the regular Master Grade, so I have no idea regarding the Wings of Light. But how exactly is it difficult to put them on, aren't they just one solid peace?
As for the knees, it's rather strange. I've never heard of a Master Grade kit which had so much trouble with double-jointed legs. Well, there's kits that have limited articulation range due to the armor plates applied, but the upper knee joint won't even more an inch if it's just the inner frame! I seriously fear that I'll break the other knee as well if I force it more than I already have.
Oh, another thing: How the hell did you get yours to hold the Arondight with it's LEFT hand? The only way I get the kit to hold that big, heavy sword is by using the closed right fist it came with.
And just for aesthetic means, if I were you, I'd split it's legs more, so it looks more like in the anime sequence.

As for the Arondight, I'm not sure about the regular Master Grade, but the Extreme Burst one's hands have a little bump on the palm to help hold the sword. Mind you, it wasn't easy. Swords never are actually. Although, neither are guns sometimes too! XD
As for the pose, it's suppose to be in the dashing forward pose more than the one you posted. I have to adjust the sword a bit more I think to get that proper pose. LoL, at 4AM, I wasn't quite in the mood to fiddle with it.
Well, the only difference between the normal Master Grade and the Extreme Burst version is that EBV comes with effect parts for the palm cannon and throwing the beam boomerang as well as the 1/20 scale clear figures of Kira and Shinn. Destiny comes with a total of five hands, two regular hands with movable fingers, two outstretched hands for the palm cannon and a closed right fist which needs to be separated and closed around the hilt of the sword to hold it. I'm aware that you can put the sword in the normal movable hands as well, but I just find they don't hold anything pretty well. Like with the Master Grade Strike Freedom, the pegs in these palms are not deep or broad enough to support the item they're supposed to be holding very well. Holding the beam rifle kind of words (but too strong shocks or vibrations will definately make it fall out), but I can't see how the regular hands can support the sword at all. This thing is so heavy...I can't even pose it that well because the weight will usually drag down the arm, which is why I have put the end of the hilt against the lower part of the wing as support.
Well, doesn't look like dashing at all to me. More like just standing in the air. I'd at least pull a knee forwards or something like that and bend the joint of the stand forwards somewhat for a more dynamic pose. Oh, and you've missed to put the beam rifle on the backskirt. It can be tricky to put the kit on the stand with the rifle attached to the back, but with a little effort, it does work.
I don't really have that issue with the Strike Freedom either. It seems to hold it's Beam Sabers fine.
When I mentioned Strike Freedom, I was refering to it holding it's beam RIFLES, not the sabers, these are just fine. The rifles are a different story. The rifles are too heavy for the hands or the pegs aren't deep enough. Usually they will fall out if you accidently hit the shelf or whatever you have the model on, at least I've heard this story a dozen times on /m/ and such. My own model as that issue in a different way. The only rifle which will fall out of my SF's hands is the left one. Dunno, but it will fall out of either hand if there's a little vibration or something, while the other rifle is fine in both hands. This is rather annoying, since on my display shelf, it's holding the combined rifle in the right hand and the left rifle is the holding part.
Anyway, looking forward to pics of your Infinite Justice. I just don't get why Bandai gave the Strike Freedom and Destiny kits their own custom stands, yet didn't include one on this Gundam, especially since Athrun was actually more important to SEED DESTINY than Kira was >>
However, I did paint all the joints and stuff Gold, so that could've helped with making the joints stronger and sturdier, along with making the peg on the palm fit better. Man, that paint job took a while to do.
LoL, and THEN they come out with the shinier Full Burst Mode. Damn Bandai! XD

Well, I'm not entirely sure about the gold on the Full Burst Mode. I've heard conflicting stories about it. The regular SF MG just has matt plastic gold for the interframe and not the reflecting gold like the old Hyaku-Shiki Master Grade or both the 1/144 and 1/100 Akatsuki Gundam. What I heard was that the FBM version has mostly the same plain plastic gold for the inner frame but that there's some parts which actually have a better gold exterior, that is, on all the joints which are visible while the armor is put on (Fingers, knee and elbow joints). I've heard the same about the Destiny EXM, except silver here. It's a bit difficult to see on your picture, but is that true?
However, with the Stand positioned and leaning that way, I could not get the Beam Rifle on it, so it'll have to stay off.
Either way, I do highly recommend this to you. You should pick it up. The Wings of Light really do make the Model that much more better. I'd say go for it, if you can get it.
I do hope they eventually make the Akatsuki & Legend in 1/00 MG Models one day.
It's possible, but that holder, as you can see, doesn't fit perfectly anymore, but it's still secure enough to prevent it from shaking around or falling off. And why exactly do you use the stand in the reversed way?
I originally wanted to get both Strike Freedom Full Burst Mode and Destiny Extreme Burst Mode, but they were on backorder and I decided I simply couldn't wait. But I guess it was good I didn't wait, since now I know better how the kits work, the inner mechanics and stuff, so I can be more careful when I order them again. I also need to clean the parts BEFORE putting them together. Gotta get myself a set of Gundam Markers and maybe some sandpaper.
So do I, but they didn't even bother making a Justice Master Grade, so I'm kinda baffled they did Infinite Justice now. Also would love to see a MG Providence.

I still say you should get an Ultra Fine Point Permanent Black Marker to fill in all the little nooks and crannies throughout the model. It really makes it look a lot more detailed.
I heard from a lot of people that black is too noticable against white and that you should use a dark gray marker instead.

Also, aside from the broken twintail, the rather twitchy structure of how the figure was set up caught my attention moreso than the twintail, as it was minor and you can just simply buy a replacement head and kitbash her.

the Japanese Vile Premium release is getting a double shoulder cannon and some snazzy artwork by what I THINk could possibly be the Command Mission artist, judging by the line and color work.
The Japanese release will be an online exclusive figure. Not sure if the US release will get a double cannon, though it would be epic.

Naw, thats the cool thing about these nifty new D-Arts Mega man figures by Bandai. They are kick ass bitchin' quality for at most, 50$.
I mean, 50$ for an action figure is still a bit much for an action figure, 'specially if you buy the whole lot or he basic lot, of X, Zero, X2 Zero and Vile, but they are great quality and come with accessories like pew pews and Bourbon glasses. Plus, the figures themselves are actually more along the lines of 35-40. It's the shipping that usually shoots the price up. But I haven't checked the differences between the Japanese or Western shipping prices, if there are any. I still only have X and X1 Zero. Would have to dig deep to buy X2 Zero, and Vile, and save up for Rock, and Black Armor Zero. Auugh. It kinda sucks not having a job.

Got him in the mail today. While he looks pretty nice, his foot joints are still a nightmare to pose, and for whatever reason, the two halfs of his helmet are so tight, I can't seem to find a way to separate it to use a different face on him, not without breaking something anyway.
I just got mine and yeah, the helmet is on too tight to take off. His joints also seem to be loosely connected and fall off when trying to pose. His shoulder joints pop off when I try to pose them because they're so tight, yet the arms barely attach to each other.Got him in the mail today. I agree. Don't you need a different chest piece for versions that separate? The T-Rex doesn't really feasibly make the chest.

I also think why people are turned off by Rock's waist is that there's a bit of an embarassing balljoint in the waist that throws the figure off, since Rock, unlike X, isin't wearing armor to hide that very joint.It kinda makes him look R&F-ish, which isn't bad in my mind.

I've had a lot of success with Evangelion figures in the past, but I forget what manufacturer they came from. Great articulation and pretty sturdy, and the interchangeable parts are an added bonus. If most figures are anything like trusty ol EVA-4, then I'd be willing to drop the cash on a couple. One at a time, though.

Eva-4 means you got Kaiyodo Revoltechs. Since they never made Unit-04 in any other line except a model kit line.
I don't really get into models, pre-built stuff is just nicer for me.
EVA-4 wasn't a model. He came pre-built and fully posable. I have another smaller purple EVA unit (I'm not familiar enough with the series to remember the names, I just like the toys), and it also has some nice articulation, though not as much as EVA-4. Here, I'll dig up the video of EVA-4...

Megaman has been doing quite well for Bandai, so the good news is that the line is going to continue forward. As most fans know by now, the next planned release is the pair of Bass and Treble. There have been a couple of questions regarding its features. I'm sad to report that Treble will not be like the previously-released Rush, and will not feature any articulation. With that aside, the sculpt on Treble is still great and Bass is shown as taller than Megaman. The pair will be released in July for $43.99.
Also, you may be wondering what happened to D-Arts Sigma. He wasn't forgotten about, but there is some trouble in engineering land as the joints pose a problem given his size. He's not forgotten, but expect him to be released as a D-Arts Zero.

Looking sharp, has a nice smell, and I am enjoying the articulation. His shoulder joints were a bit tight, but some rotation helped to loosen them up. Same with a joint at the base of his tail. I have other figures with problem joints, so I'm used to loosening stubborn joints. Haven't posed him with his Shadow Jelly Roll, but I gave him a lightsaber.

Anyway, if Lelouch as a back hole use a figma stand or something, otherwise you'll have to get one of Bandai's stands with the clamps.
I was also refering to the fact that the transformation of magical girls usually just involves a change of clothes, yet nobody can tell it's them when they are in and out of transformation, which happened A LOT in Sailor Moon (Uranus and Neptune, the Amazoness Quartet, Starlights etc). Cutey Honey and most PreCure protagonists at least also have a change in their hairstyles (and hair color!) and occasionally eyecolor to conceal themselves.
As for Lelouch, he has no hole in the back, hence why I was asking if there are specific stands for S.H. Figuarts that use some sort of clamp or whatever to hold onto.

It was yes.
I have some cheap-brand superglue and it works fine. Krazy Glue, if you want to go with a brand, but really, any will do. Just be careful about excess glue squeezing out, so only put enough on the piece to hold it together. Else, a cotton swab and a bit of nail polish remover will take off the excess, but be really, really careful, because it will take off paint.
As for stubborn shoulder joints, if the figure is in a warm room, try rotating the joint to work it loose. Regular wear and tear will loosen joints nicely. My D-Arts Mewtwo has a stubborn shoulder joint, and the most I've done was warm it with my hands and rotate it slowly to work it into position, followed by rotating the joint to loosen it. Make sure to hold the joint itself, don't rotate below the bicep swivel. Holding the joint will also help warm it.

I scored the first print Tony's Sofa gift with Mk42, it's amazing.
But those do look snazzy (Presumably they look considerably less so out of the box).True, but since this is Bandai, for the most part, the colours are there, and maybe just need minimal painting. One sure thing is that Vader's helmet will be shiny out of the box.

So Figuarts Megaman Zero finally arrived to me today.
He's... actually really really good! The best Zero they've put out so far.
PROS:
-His hair is detachable and poseable
-No floppy joints
-Paint is wonderful, a nice shiny red with a glossy dark purple for the body, everything is painted (Unlike the Model Kit)
-The little holsters on his legs have removable pegs in them if you pose him with a weapon out.
CONS:
-The hair is still ugly
-The weapons are all sourced from Zero 1, so you get the infinitely less interesting Triple Rod (With no spin effect or extending effect) compared to the Chain Rod or Recoil Rod, also no Z-Knuckle.
-Only two faces (Standard angry face and looking to the left yelling face) and three sets of hands (two fists, two Buster holding hands and two Saber/Triple Rod hands), the Boomerang is treated as a separate bracelet (Which means you could combo that and both Buster and Saber/Rod but that'd be silly)
-The little pegs in his holsters are a [sonic slicer] and a half to get out. And they're tiny.
-Zero's neck just seems too long.
All in all, he's nice. some flaws here and there but nothing dealbreaking like shitty Zero Version 2.
