Nope she's not original, Phi just loves those games so much.   Doesn't help that there's not a lot of fan art of her either, the series itself is just so obscure, especially since it's a visual novel that isn't Ace Attorney or the Fate games, and the games are so oddly named too you wouldn't have any idea they are connected unless you are a fan, or in this case know one.  The first game was called 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors, or 999, the second is afore mentioned Virtue's Last Reward, or VLR, and the one they are making is called Zero Time Dilemma.  Plot is complicated as hell too, for good reason mind you.

Heck I didn't even know that they went from 2D portraits to 3D models from the first to the second game until we debated about the color of Phi's jacket thing.  Point is he loves this series about as much as you gush about FF14.

Like I said before Sakura's moveset in the RP's is basically Zero's attacks in the X and Zero series with some Tales series Swordmen moves thrown in.

Pema's character design is from Etrian Odyssey IV, but her personality and name is completely my creation. All playable characters from EO to EO4 are blank slates.

It wasn't until the Etrian Odyssey Untold games that Atlus decided to give characters personality traits.

Zeta did start as a gender bent version of Zero in the Battle Network Universe, for a fan fiction I will never write, but genkier.  But then I gave her a Spear Hammer thing and the ability to control Wind like an Air Bender.

Only ever played the first one to be honest, I feel like I worded my post badly-that wasn't me criticizing I actually love the Phi and Pema characters from the RPs regardless of what inspired them. Sorry. X_x
