If you could improve ONE weapon of each classic game...

That is, of course, assuming you're not allowed to design a completely new power. NOTE: The improvement doesn't necessarily have to be on a crappy weapon. Maybe there's a weapon that you already like and would like it even better with some tweaks!

MM1
Super Arm Creates blocks out of thin air with 4 ammo; blocks that are part of the background don't spend any energy

MM2
Leaf Shield May walk with shield on; if you throw the shield UP, 4 leaves float down la Wood Man (costs extra energy)

MM3
Top Spin Pulls all on-screen items, like the Charge Beam in Metroid Prime; weird hitbox fixed

MM4
Skull Barrier I wouldn't make it Jewel Satellite broken, but it would at least block normal projectiles without disappearing. Also, since this weapon is Dive Man's weakness, it would have some kind of unique underwater effect, like increasing Mega Man's speed

MM5
Power Stone The cluster would be lagtastic, but there's no way you wouldn't hit something with 2 casts on screen

MM6
Plant Barrier Bounce like the Plant Man springs while using it? I dunno, it's hard to think of a shield improvement that isn't "be Jewel Satellite"

MM7
Freeze Cracker "The Freeze Cracker fires ice bullets, doesn't it?" "Yes, but it is freaking SLOW. Here, let me increase the speed and rate of fire for you."

MM8
Thunder Claw Allow swinging on any ceiling

MM&B
Magic Card These cards would be more magic if you could throw them diagonally

MM9
I'm interested in reading your input. I can't think of any improvements, all weapons here are very powerful and useful to me

MM10
Thunder Wool Cloud phase would be completely
in-des-tructible

MM1: Hyper Bomb Explodes on impact.
MM2: Crash Bomber Explodes on impact, uses 2 energy, explosion animation is shorter.
MM3: Spark Shock Damages enemies, in addition to stunning them. Can switch weapons while in effect.
MM4: Ring Boomerang Increased range. Can fire multiple.
MM5: Power Stone Fires only one stone, but homes in on enemies. Increased speed.
MM6: Blizzard Attack Fires snowflakes in front of you. Less delay.
MM7: Thunder Bolt Can fire more than one shot at a time.
MM8: Flame Sword Increased range. Can reflect projectiles.
MM&B: Spread Drill Damage output is only slightly reduced when the drill splits.
MM9: Black Hole Bomb Wider radius.
MM10: Thunder Wool Delay is almost completely gone. Uses only 2 energy.

Not gonna do all of them right now, but here's a few that I would change.

Hyper Bomb: Can alter trajectory of bombs being tossed. Think Bomb Kirby from KSS.  Also explodes on impact.

Spark Shock: Can switch weapons while an enemy is stunned.

Thunder Claw: Can use it to grab items from a distance.

Copy Vision: Can place more than one at a time.

Thunder Wool: Cloud is outright indestructible until it reaches its peak height and unleashes lightning. Lightning's horizontal range increased.

MM1- Gutsman's Super Arm from MMPU. (Pretty much what Dood said.)

MM2- Time Stopper, ability to use other weapons or turn the weapon off.

MM3- Needle Cannon, Projectiles are faster.

MM4- Skull Barrier, only vanish upon contact damage instead of on everything.

MM5- I've got nothing other people haven't already said.

MM6 - Plant Barrier, allow the shield to be thrown like in Power fighters.

MM7 - I've got nothing. Danger Wrap could be more useful maybe?

MM8 - I've got nothing for this either.

MM9 - Concrete Shot, lasts longer, uses less energy, stops directly over the lasers in Wily 4 instead of going past them.
Also Hornet Chaser, make it faster, more damaging, stuff like that.
Pretty sure there are more I can think of.

MM10 - Thunder Wool, scrap it entirely, or allow the player to control when the wool shoots the lightning.

Cool stuff!

MM10 - Thunder Wool, scrap it entirely, or allow the player to control when the wool shoots the lightning.

Nice. I would definitely prefer activating the lightning with a second button press.

I'd make rush coil damage enemies by launching them into the ceiling

MM1 - Hyper Bomb. Explosion radius should be larger and MegaMan should yell out "BOMBS!"
MM2 - Metal Blade. Needs more blades and directions to throw them in.
MM3 - Hard Knuckle. Needs to look more [ray splasher]-y
MM4 - Rain Flush. MegaMan needs to jiggle to do it, instead of launching lame, non-jigglin' projectile into the sky. Also acceptable: make projectile jiggle.
MM5 - Crystal Ball. More balls. Just...more balls man.
MM6 - Flame Blast. Make it be as awesome as it looks in the Smash Bros demo.
MM7 - Scorch Wheel. You should be able to ride inside the wheel, as well as pop dat wheelie.
MM8 - Astro Crush. MegaMan just summoned a [tornado fang]ing meteor swarm. He should kill everything not made of Hel Mettanium.
MM9 - Hornet Chaser. Should be called Hornet Swarm because you should be able to surround yourself with at least 20 Bees.
MM10 - Rebound Striker. Again, more balls man. Otherwise one of the coolest named weapons ever. But yeah, balls.
MM&B - Remote Mine. Lame and not pirate-y. Just called it Skull Blunderbuss and make it shoot skulls that explode while MegaMan yells ARRRRRRR!

I imagine this would be VERY hard to do on an NES game, I bet it would take up like all the memory just to have that one voice clip.

Would it be worth it?

There is a hack called rockman 3 burst chaser which made top spin awesome.
I lost to Guts Man and only cried for 5 hours.

I guess you could call me MANLY!!!
