No, I think it was just supposed to be a flashy way of him putting on the costume.

I watched Kaikatsu Zorro all through my childhood. It was called Legend of Zorro where I live.


...and all that I have to say, is that it RULES. Seriously, it remains one of the best anime I've ever seen, for both nostalgia factor and classic goodness. It's unbelievably western, seeming a bit like a classic comic book at times, and that "transformation" sequence is only shown when he's changing outfits, and it's not that flashy to begin with. Zorro's alter-ego, Diego, is the Vash the Stampede before there was a Vash the Stampede, and plays the bumbling fool so damn well that the whole thing is amazing.

I own the whole thing on DVD. It rocks so damn much. ;_;

I'll say this. Best Superman anime of all time. (Powerful hero with classic "I stand for justice!" phrases, cowardly secret identity nobody respects Give him a red cape and there'd be no difference)

Honestly, I can try, but I'd need to hardsub the eps, even. Heck, I love the voices, even if they're a bit "done in the 80's" style, since the dubbing material we got here is kinda weak. But yeah, I'll definetly give it a try.

The portuguese version of the show actually used to be entirely on youtube, but they took it out.
