Dash-jumping over Chill Man's head felt pretty awesome too!
Did you try jumping over his head whilst he was jumping straight at you? Cause that feels pretty damn awesome too, especially if you manage to scrape his head with Bass' foot/leg in mid-air.

No, I think I'll have to try that!  I've dashed under him when he jumped at me, and I fly over his head when he decided to start running.  I'll have to try the Treble Boost in a boss fight as well, seems like it could be useful.

Bass takes some getting adjusted to, not just in the context of this game, but for those that played Mega Man and Bass.

In the context of Mega Man and Bass, Bass' Dash cannot be mapped to a single button; sliding/dashing will take some adjustment and fingerplay.

In the context of the game itself, Bass' Rapid Buster is VERY useful for midbosses and somewhat more useful for bosses, but stage enemies are a bit trickier. The Double Jump is gone, so Bass does not have the second jump to have the equivalent of Mega or Proto's buster. You also can't move and shoot unless you jump (or I would suggest short hopping). You also cannot shoot through walls, which is quite the safety net in these games.

Very interesting character to play as. Proto Man changed up the game a little bit with all of his attributes; Bass breaks just as much, if not more, ground as far as the tactics of beating a Classic Mega Man game.

I never use single button dashing as long as the directional pad is A-okay.
I am disappoint in my PSP's directional pad being so effin' stiff, couldn't dash worth [parasitic bomb].

But I can't even play MM10 so I don't know why I bothered to mention this.

Having played Xtreme2 to hell and back doing the Down+B to dash isn't all that awkward (although double-tapping 2 for a dash-jump doesn't feel as sensitive as it should; I'm having a hard time dash-jumping from a standstill).  Even having played MM&B, though, the inability to move and shoot is not a limitation you expect in an NES game, so that takes some getting used to.  Also, in NES body-to-screen-size proportions, you're shooting much further, so the blind spots between your shooting directions are a lot more apparent.  Still, playing as Bass is awesome.

Enker is a [sonic slicer].  That is all.

I was watching qzecwx's run of Enker's stage.
I was blown away by the near re-creation of the stage.
It was almost like in World 1, and they even added one of the yoku block segment from the Wily Station stage.
Very impressive.

As for Enker himself, go to see he's still as challenging as in World 1, since you didn't have charge shot nor slide then either.
And loved that he could also stop in the middle of the room to attack, instead of just at the ends. Also, skidding. :3

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Cool stuff. I have two questions:

1. How'd the guy unlock the two special stages already?

2. Can you use Bass or Proto Man in the special stages?

In response to your second question: Not likely. The rules clearly state that only Mega Man can be used, IIRC.

Ah, good old Punk.  I think I once described him as a mix of MetalMan and Metal Sonic.  I like how now you can't slide under him, but he has an altitude where you don't have to jump at all.

Ballade... They give him a mouth, but no raised horns and shades?  Good to see him in color though.  These stages are a fun nostalgia rush, especially since I TASed the games they came from.  They remind me of that time somebody hacked CutMan's stage to resemble the Game Boy version.  The exploding barrier puzzles are back--were they anywhere else in MegaMan 10?  And are you just screwed if you get to the barriers you have to break under your feet without a special weapon?

God.
Wily Stage World 3... And Wily Yamato World 4... Awesome stage re-creations again.
Ballade's was the closest it got for the Wily Yamato, and even added those explosive barriers from the Wily Base stage.
Then again, Punk's was just as brilliantly re-created from Wily Stage World 3.

These videos brings so much tears to me eyes. O^O
Though... Where's my powered up Ballade? D:

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

On each difficulty, you can unlock challenges for bosses you met.

Example:
NITRO E (beat boss, no damage, any weapon)
NITRO N (beat boss, no damage, any weapon)
NITRO H (beat boss, no damage, buster only)

Not sure if anyone knows yet or not, but I was playing with Bass tonight and I discovered that you can knock the shield off some enemies with his buster via rapid fire.
