DOGS

Two chihuahuas, to be exact. A friend of my mother owns these two dogs, and she's going away for a week. My mother agreed to look after them for her during her hiatus.

Now, I don't mind one dog. But two... Plus, they're absolutely batshit insane.

So, uh... tips?

let them run off their energy outside
give them lots of toys
make sure they have plenty of water, expending that much energy means they can dehydrate themselves
they'll eventually want to take naps, embrace that fact

I'm hoping one of the dogs doesn't hump my leg... UGHHHH, I don't want that at all. There are ENOUGH dogs in where I live. Some of my bad experiences are associated with dogs.

I don't know why dogs were even domesticated in the first place. Their behavior is... sub-par. I'm isolating myself from the dogs, and god help me if these dogs start giving me hell by making a mess in the house and whatnot.

Dogs are fine if you can just ensure discipline. I know my parents can't...

Get a spritz bottle.  It works for cats and dogs and is a great way to deter bad behaviour.  I use a spritz bottle occasionally to discipline my Chow-Rottweiler mix.

UPDATE

These dogs are mighty fine. They're well-behaved, which I had not expected. I officially declare my previous statements about these dogs null and void.
