So, who else besides me got Left 4 Dead?

I've been playing it online for a while, and I 've got to say it's fun as hell. Versus mode is pretty much like the campaign, except one team plays the survivors and the other plays as the infected (not zombies, although they sure as hell act like 'em.)

You REALLY have to stick together and think stratigically in this game and work as a group, otherwise you'll get overwhelmed by the random wave of infected that shows up.

I thought they were vampires.

Francis probably knows more than you, I'm gonna trust him.

I was hopeful about L4D when I heard about it originally, but then I played the demo...

Let's just say I found the overall experience underwhelming.  The game needs a lot more genuinely creepy [parasitic bomb] like the witch, and a lot less "swarm of 30-50 zombies attacks you every two minutes."

Commander Shepard: *stares blankly at a video of scantily clad asari dancers* ...What kind of hotel is this?
Liara T'Soni: It is a luxury resort with an... exotic edge.  Azure is slang for a part of the asari body in some places on Illium.
Shepard: Where?
Liara: The lower reaches, near the bottom.
Shepard: I meant, "where on the asari body?"
Liara: So did I.

It's not really a scary zombie horror kind of game, more like adrenaline-pumping thriller.
Versus mode is a lot more exciting, usually terminally so, and was worth the money for me. Though I do miss the ability to climb on walls...

Is this another one like Dead Rising that gets boring after five minutes?

It depends on if you go on Live a lot or not.

Hell, I barely went on Live before and now I'm on more often because of this game.

Espicially for versus mode.

I don't think pointing out that playing multiplayer games with just bots isn't fun is really all that helpful, dude. S'kinda common knowledge.

Anyway yes the game is fun for more than five minutes. If you're me. If you're not me that statement may not necessarily be true, so watch out.

I got to play Versus, I love playing as the Infected.
Be a Hunter and stand in front of the Witch, then dodge when they fire at you, good times.
