$7500 isn't that bad for college.  It's not CUNY or SUNY prices, mind you, but compared to some schools that want $15,000 for a semester.....

I think you're better off learning your chosen discipline in general rather than specifically for game design. Not just because it leaves you more options, but it seems to be taken more seriously.
