man, this sucks. and just before his comeback tour, too.

Michael did a lot of not-so-reputable things, of course. but come on. he made Thriller. and he will be missed.

As Viewtiful Ben just told me, and I just checked to confirm, MTV is showing nothing but MJ videos right now.  It's a fitting tribute, and appropriate, being that MJ pretty much created the network with his videos.

True PB. Also, sorry to be a downer and not to derail the thread, but the same Australian news channel that broke the news of MJ's passing first is apparently reporting that Jeff Goldblum is dead now as well. Just happened a few minutes ago.

Sad sad times.

Yes, yes. Very sad etc.

I guess they're talking about giving him a traditional burial, but I'm with the epa on this one; plastics should be recycled.

Such a shame to see a great man die especially when he invented the moonwalk and I had yet to master it.

At the risk of sounding very ignorant and combative, get that [parasitic bomb] out of this thread please. I'm not going to let this turn the age old debate of him being a pedo or not. Whatever he did, he'll answer to it. For us here and now, this thread is for respecting his life and his accomplishments.

It's an M.J is dead thread, I think I should be able to voice my opinion about the man. Just because my opinion isn't the same as yours you intend to try and silence me? That's pretty stupid, dude.

I'm not trying to start a "is he a pedo" debate. I'm just saying how I feel. If someone starts trashing me for it, then by all means, but it won't be me who started the debate; it'll be the person who responds.

Wow, I found out at work about this and was skeptical about it until someone I know confirmed it. To be honest though, I can't really say I'm all that sad that he died. It is sad that he died as he was relaunching his career though. I might go listen to thriller now.

Regardless of how much this is baiting, note that I never tried to silence you. I said, "take that [parasitic bomb] out of this thread." Go ahead and express your thoughts on the guy, just not here where people are paying respects.

Opinions are fair enough.  However...

I guess they're talking about giving him a traditional burial, but I'm with the epa on this one; plastics should be recycled.

This is not an opinion.  It's an attempt at humor.

Let's face it, dude. If I make a thread for hating on M.J, one of you will lock it. That's an asinine suggestion.

Good thing I wasn't referring to my FIRST POST, then. When you said what you did, you quoted my second post. So I just assumed we were talking about the second one. I'll try not to use logic anymore, and apologize for my ignorance.

Edit: Thought it was still Jericho, not Proto. Change everything in the second paragraph to look like I'm talking to Proto instead of Jericho.

My... My... ...GOD...

When I heard that he died from my sister, I was thinking, "What? The Thriller guy!?... Nuh-uh, NNOOooooo way!" When I watched the news five minutes later, it said that he was in a coma, so I was like, "Phew... Crisis averted." Then they declared him dead a minute later. *jawslack*

He was just about to re-launch his career, too... ;O;
