LOL, I have about a week without touching the tenth episode of the second season of Amaenaideyo!! Katsu. :P It's partly because I know that once I finish that, the only thing waiting for me is Genshiken, and then I have to get myself to downloading some of the other stuff I want to watch. -_-
Only reason why I watched it is due to free time during my 1st period class.

When was the last time I poked you guys...

Technically, I have no 1st period. I have an A Period (period before 1st) and second period afterwards... No time to escape home. Enough time to get to the closest 7/11, but not enough money everyday nor do I want to spend my money that often. Final thing I could do? Carry anime episodes in my iPod or draw.

I haven't been watching any series lately but I did watch Evangelion 1.0 you are (not) alone and the animation was far better than the '95 crap that the original series used.

Well duh, that's because there's more than a decade between the TV series and the movie.

At most I kept up with one series throughout the entire year, most of the cases being the latest batches of Saint Seiya OVAs. Yes, they were a glorious piece of crap, you gotta try HARD to end so shitty, but I digress.

Once I heard of Casshern Sins, the live action alone would have sold me to see the original concept. Then they said it was to be directed by Shigeasu Yamauchi, who directed the cream of the crop of SS's revival and was then fired by the series' creator in a stupid hissy fit. Then I watched the first episode and the voice actor for Casshern this time around is Tohru Furuya, the one true Pegasus Seiya... and they made Casshern his spitting image (coincidence?). Down to having Kunio Tsujita as the colorist. If you thought Tsujita was SS's colorist too, you're quite right. Add to it that the classic Saint Seiya series had Takao Koyama at the helm for writing and then see that he worked on the first Casshern series and Jesus Fuck, it's all connected, I can see forever. Behold the blanket.

Either way, it's being an interesting ride so far, with some ups and downs alright, but I'd watch this stuff if only to see Furuya doing the spitting image of the character he immortalized (and viceversa). I liked the fact they gave Dio what seems to be his female doppelganger (doppelganger of a doppelganger but with big round breasts and smooth long hair. What's not to love?). When Yamauchi isn't too caught up on his chaotic direction the action scenes are awesome as well.

Guys, please let me know when did Gwen Stacy getting retroactively impregnated with Goblin Twins solve any contradiction whatsoever and didn't create a whole set of new ones. TTFN

I love how Capcom was one of the grand sponsors for ep 7 of Casshern. It makes me lol.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

That was 6, wasn't it? I just watched ep. 7 after I made my post and it didn't even have the sponsor window.

But boy was 7 a spectacular borefest. Christ, stop being so god damn formulaic. Some of the formula worked well ("The World is filled with Cries of Death" and "Angel of Ruin") but this one was downright trite and stupid. Next episode isn't looking so bright either. Meanwhile Braiking is yet to make an appearance ever since episode two.

Well, they're in six as well.

Beats me to why Shinsen cuts out the sponsor window in some episodes and leaves it in others.
