Explodemon via Kotaku

What's this now? A new 2.5D Platforming game from Curve Studios? Lets see what they have to say about it.

Explodemon! is a 2.5D action platform game with an explosive main character. Mixing classic platforming action – from classics such as Mario and MegaMan – with the refined contemporary gameplay of Halo and Half-Life 2, it brings old-school gameplay bang up to date. Coming from Curve’s deep-seated love of video game culture and history, Explodemon! is wrapped up as a loving homage to SNES-era Japanese action games.

Explodemon! will release on PSN, PC and WiiWare in 2009.

I'm definitely interested in this. It looks like a lot of fun! Here's hoping!

They may be in a completely different genre, but damned if we aren't going to try to leech off as much of Halo and HL's popularity as possible!

Saw it at GT yesterday. Looks fun!

I just hope they can keep pretty much the same gameplay, content and similar flashy graphics for the wiiware ver.

I'd be pisses if they didn't make it as good as the PS3/PC. If not as good then BETTER.

I watched the trailer, how the story flows is quite similar to Maverick Hunter X (Well, look at the text and story graphics!), and the gameplay too, only you get one weapon: You jump in the air, then explode to kill enemies, fun.
