He could definitely pull it off. Like I said, he's a professional and he can play the role in many different ways, no matter what the role calls for. He's done other voice acting on many many different shows, and you can hear his more serious side, and the two can be intermixed throughout the story, when it calls for it. He doesn't have to play the Joker like he does in the animated series.
I've heard his voice in many of his other roles. I just don't think it's the best voice for that kind of situation.

It's really only that one scene though, and the final scene, in which he's being frank. But, he's a professional and he can definitely pull it off without being traditional Hamill Joker.
I dunno if he could pull it off. My point is, his usual Joker voice wouldn't fit The Killing Joke. In the entire story, except when he's singing his song to Gordon, he's acting in a completely different way. Not simply performing, but in this plan, he wants to prove a point. For once, he is NOT trying to be funny. I find that Hamill's Joker can never be honest. Only funny, or angry. Or lying his ass off.

I disagree. Hamill is the perfect blend of funny & menacing, and he could definitely do something more akin to Killing Joke, given his talent level.
The problem is, when I see Killing Joke, I don't see funny and menacing. I see Joker being true and frank to Batman for the first time in his life.

That, is the one thing I can never see the Hamill Joker doing. Showing his fragility. And of course, acting the Red Hood parts.

It'd be fine if it was on any other system, but the combination of Nintendo and any attention to female anatomy never seems to go well (barring Smash Bros.).  If you don't live in Japan there's a good chance such games either go unreleased or get ruled illegal.  How many other T-rated games are classified as child-porn in Sweden, I wonder?

Game style looks appealing enough.
I am digging that sword design...but not the scantily clad princess

(What? Is it that hard to imagine a RPM member that doesnt  think with his [ray splasher]?)

I know. I would just really love him to do The Joker for an animated version of The Killing Joke.
Honestly... the Killing Joke Joker's probably the only one I don't really see him voicing. It's a very, very human Joker. Those parts with his origin, the way he talks and the way he expresses himself... it's the only Joker story where his plan isn't really to laugh. Hamill's Joker is BRILLIANT, but I don't imagine him being vengeful, maniacal or the usual amazing performer in that story. I imagine him showing Batman something just to make a point.

The only part of the story where I can imagine Hamill's voice, is the singing part, when he says "Don't get eeeeeven! Get maaaaaaad!"

But the rest, even his first laugh, I imagine a more disturbing, screamed and non-funny at all, something another voice would be better at.

Mark Hamill says goodbye to The Joker

Although at the Comic Con, I heard him say that he would come back to do the Joker one last time if DC made an animated movie of The Killing Joke.

...I would love an Animated Movie of The Killing Joke!
He always says that. =P He said it for Arkham Asylum, and he said it for some other thing. He'll be back.

This is the one game that can truly be called "back to roots".

They finally nailed it. Instead of making it a trial-and-error HELL like Unleashed was, they make it in a way that if you miss a platform, jump or homing attack, there's always one or two lower paths you can proceed through.

Just make the rest of the levels seem as good as this, and we got ourselves a game.

Voice, look AND style are probably the worst I have ever seen in a Joker, maybe except Lieberman's Joker in Hush Returns.

He doesn't look or sound crazy, and he certainly doesn't act as such. He's hanging out with a bunch of villains when he's way out of their league, and not only does he dress like a stereotypical emo kid, he looks like he's emulating Ledger's Joker without ANY of the good stuff that made Ledger's Joker good.

That... is a Joker poser. It's exactly how an emo kid acts when they want to be the Joker. Waving a knife around for no reason and with his ridiculous pocket chain.

It honestly doesn't.

Trying to bring ANY sort of non-cliché story to Devil May Cry is bad. The story has to be basic and the plot regular, so the rest can be absolutely crazy. Dante's supposed to be a crack mofo who has an amazing amount of style and makes jokes about EVERYTHING. Not only that, his constant beatings, stabbings and his demon origins are important.

New demo for Generations coming up, contains both versions of Green Hill.

XBL demo up tomorrow for Live Gold users, PSN demo up on October 24th.

...anybody got a Live Gold account I can borrow? Putting up a Bitgamer account for it.

http://www.siliconera.com/2011/10/17/play-as-both-classic-and-modern-sonic-in-demo-2-for-sonic-generations/

EDIT: Demo's out on the US. Have fun.

....after trying it out for awhile, I loved it. It's basically Unleashed, if Unleashed had multiple paths, good level design, better graphics, better music, Colors' physics improved in terms of momentum and running/walking being actually different, and the GOD DAMN HOMING ATTACK WORKS WAY BETTER NOW. (almost as good as in Adventure 1/2) If the whole game's as good as this, I will be happy.

I love the fact that this game will have stat-changing items in play.

...it's getting hardcore fighting game fanboys all worked up trying to decide if this is a "PARTEE GAME FOR SCRUBS" or if it's "worthy" of being called a fighting game at all. =P The drama is delicious.

It's like Fallout with swords.
Oh, of course. It's an isometric turn-based role-playing survival game with time limits, VATS system and apocalyptic setting, right?

THEY
RUINED
MULTIPLAYER

Holy [parasitic bomb] I just wasted two hours of my life trying to get into a game with someone.  I finally see my friend's soapstone and then I get the message "SUMMONING FAILS."  Now we're back to square one.  This is total bullshit and I want you all to know.

Don't get this game if you have any intention of playing with people you know.  It's just not going to happen.  The only reason why I haven't returned my game is because I am hoping for some sort of resolution to this problem.  Like a patch or something.  Totally ruined my weekend.  I was so psyched for this coop.
Ruining multi is different than having an error.

I honestly haven't heard any complaints, and the forum I go to is pretty Dark Souls-discussion heavy.

The red-haired Skyward Biff is a jerk, BTW.  He and his pals will start throwing eggs at you when you start doing well in the festival.  Still, the end of it was pretty sweet.
"Hey MCFLY! Why don't you make like an egg... and get ouddaheres!"

He sounds awesomely bullyesque already.

I can certainly see both sides of that discussion.  One hand, a unique experience with even more nostalgic stages/bosses than we would have had with the consoles alone is awesome.  On the other, a scaled-down version (obviously the 3DS cannot handle a direct port) that included some actual 3D stages would have been appreciated as well.  I'm happy with what we're getting, but I can see why some wouldn't be.

I got some hands-on time with the 3DS game today, modern Sonic in Mushroom Hill Act 2.  The game moves extremely quickly, and the screen is panned back fairly far, which can at times make things difficult to see.  Thankfully, the over-use of bottomless pits is gone, and loose rings are pretty easy to re-aquire, so the game wasn't necessarily frustrating.  It might take some getting used to.  I'd imagine that classic Sonic, being without the boost and all, is a little more user-friendly.  But IIRC his stages in the 3DS are fairly straight ports.  I didn't get to confirm this for myself, though.
I'm okay with the stages being straight ports. I mean, it's basically a quarter of the game being remade stages of classic Sonic games... with beautiful new graphics. They can't do that for modern Sonic stages, so the level design must be fairly different. And Mushroom Hill, I remember being quite fast in parts, even in the original game.

All in all, I'm just worried about the level design. That's my prime concern.

Was about 3:15 today.  We all marched, chanted, sang, did the Data-dance, and got a photo op with Seth Killian.

Somebody posted a YouTube video of the march, but they recorded ONLY the chanting, which kinda makes us look like a bunch of lunatics (well, even more of a bunch of lunatics than we already are).  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBgH2sRL8kE
I just hope that rattled more cages than it seems. Capcom could use a damn wake-up call.

Well, I was a grade-school kid when big hits started hitting the market, so I guess I missed out there. :p
My problem is how many people limit themselves on purpose and then just diss the market without even knowing what it is. =P

Try playing something like Marathon or System Shock sometime.
