The shockwave caused by Omega Joe's explosion shook off what little strength the cement had on the wall, causing the bricks to collapse around Chariot and almost bury him in the avalanche. Seeing no more reason to stick around and further endanger Hajime, or the rest of Tarot Cat's cards, he prepares to leave only to suddenly notice Hanged Man had fallen out of his chest armor during the shockwave, bounced off the uneven terrain and drift off towards an aimless direction.
"Oh dear, now you've gone and gotten me exposed," he sighed with a nonchalant shrug of his shoulders, "Whatever shall we do to avoid letting the rest of the Resistance in on the dirty deeds of our boss?"
Chariot struggled to control his frustration and shock as he flips his spear around and smacks the drifting card towards a more sturdy part of the crumbled building, running behind it and peaking out the nearby window to make sure no one noticed or heard Hanged Man's nonchalant spout.

Merrick was almost caught by surprise, but not too long that he managed to grab hold of the string lacing the duffel bag's flap, yanking it shut as he struggles to wrestle it loose with only one hand as the other was still clutching his gold scepter. The struggle is soon met by a hail of glowing leaves thrown by Synthis, who saw what was going on and quickly retaliated with his Magical Leaf attack.
Seeing other trainers take notice and gearing up to help out, most likely unaware of the repercussions of a full-on assault in a small space, Merrick points his staff at Mandibuzz while she was seemingly distracted by the oncoming leaves.
"Miracle Beam!"
The sapphire orb on his staff flashes brightly as white, nonelemental sparks jumped out and surround the Bone Vulture Pokemon.

« on: March 12, 2014, 12:46:12 AM »(It just doesn't make sense to me since Borock-bot and Hajime can use magic, and Asch and Zeta are a fire bender and air bender respectively and I treat bending as a sort of magic specific to an element along with some martial art, I even alternately call them Adepts since they are adept at using their elements, like the cast of Golden Sun.)
(Tarot Cat and its cards may be a better example of robots using magic, even though the ability will be explained later on in this RP and probably one other. Haijime is a cyborg, so there still may be some logical acceptance for him being able to use magic despite both his arms being fully mechanical)

Merrick watched along with other trainers, almost wishing Apprentice hadn't disappeared with the rest of the group.
Synthis soon pawed the duffel bag, seeming to want another snack after playing for so long. Though unsure, he knew with the hazmat team still dealing with the decontamination of the cafeteria food and drinks, it was up to the trainers to find and feed their Pokemon whatever fruits weren't tainted by the grass-type powders.
Compressing his lips in reluctance, he pulls his duffel bag in front of him and digs through it for one of Synthis' favorite berries, eventually pulling out a Pecha berry, to which the Leafon gleefully snatches and scampers off to enjoy away from the strong nose of other Pokemon.

Hajime passed through the hallways making up the spine of the dragon ship, scouring through a notebook containing a list of junk with small boxes scratched on one side and a random set of numbers on the other. Hanging in front of him by a single, mechanical wire sticking out of one of the panels in the light blue area of his pack-like mechaniloid is what looks like an old abacus, two more wires flicking the beads about as if reading his thoughts on each junk on the list.
He doesn't seem to be paying attention to the group that has just gotten back from the pizzeria, nor the fiasco that led to their current condition.

Though the odd sensation didn't completely die down, Merrick didn't want to cause too much of a stir unless whoever was observing him attempted to strike right away. Still keeping some attention on the sensation, he goes back to entertaining Synthis with more Tug-O-War.

Merrick starts to get the odd sensation that someone was leering at him and eyes around to see where it was coming from. The Pokemon and trainers crowded most of the cafeteria, making it hard for him to figure out where this odd sensation was coming from.
He shouldn't ruin the fun so soon, but just to be on the safe side, he cautiously summons his trademark, gold scepter, keeping it at his side in preparation for what might attempt to strike him.

The duffel bag was still on Merrick's shoulder, and it doesn't look like the young priest was going to put it down anytime soon, perhaps for more reasons than the suspicion he had about Earl earlier.
He was currently holding the Water Crystal scepter he used on Solosis earlier, sending a refreshing drop of water onto the Leafeon as he purrs in content while flapping his leaf-like ears, sending smaller sparkles of waters in various directions.

Hearing this brought back the suspicion Merrick had towards the trainer. He decides to keep the duffel bag slung over him as he goes back to playing Tug-o-war with a Ditto-like tug toy Synthis picked up earlier.

Merrick eventually noticed the haggard trainer appear at the cafeteria. Though he remained suspicious of his presence, he became concerned of his current state of appearance.
Compressing his lips, he gets up to confront the trainer, slinging the duffel bag onto his back while pulling the string to close it off.
"Are you okay?" he asked, "You're not suffering allergies like my friend back in his room, are you?"

Merrick, once again, is distracted by the delightful sight of Pokemon getting along and playing with each other. Some of the trainers of the Pokemon were also enjoying the sight, some helping their psychic-type Pokemon comprehend the words under the pictures while others were playing fetch or catch with the various other toys strewn around the cafeteria.

Merrick watched, smiling at the entertainment both Synthis and Solosis were having with their toys and being completely unaware of the consequence it was causing to the trainer that sent it.
Some of the nearby Pokemon that were released from their Pokeballs soon took notice and joined in, either observing the toys or playing with them while keeping Merrick's words in mind. The Psychic-types and human-like Pokemon were also poking through the picture books, some sticking to a particular page that interested them.

Merrick pulls out a few picture books, some plushies, and some toys that looked like they were made for regular dogs and cats. Synthis, happy to see some of the display, immediately takes one of the squeaky Ratata toys and heads off to play with it in a matter befitting his cat-like behavior.
"I can let you borrow these until the Hazmat team is finished cleaning up the center," he said, "Just be careful with them. Some of my friends' Pokemon really like these toys and books."

Merrick cringed as Solosis took his entire hand, followed by an odd tickling sensation. Though worried that keeping his hand in there for too long might have a lasting effect on his skin, he chooses not to yank it loose, not wanting to startle the Pokemon anymore than it already was when it tried to take Jeff's apple.

Distorted clocks suddenly surround Solosis, spinning their arms before vanishing, causing it to halt in mid flight. Merrick watched with some frustration as the grumpy Magician stands straight and marches back to his room to eat in silence, before picking up the bag and pulling out a crystal-blue scepter consisting of two jars clutching a Water Crystal, and pointing it towards the stalled Pokemon.
"Kindness Drops," he mutters almost flatly.
The rune within the crystal glows a watery outline as a sparkling drop falls from the ceiling and lands on the Solosis, removing the spell placed on it by Jeff.
"You'll have to excuse my friend.... He gets cranky when he's under the weather...."

Merrick thought he heard something and turns to see what it was, finding a seemingly cute little Solosis floating around him. Three Pentacles circling its presence seems to suggest it belonged to a trainer, but the way it was behaving made it hard for him to gauge which trainer it belonged to and if it was let out either to stretch its...spherical dome.
His attempts to get to know the Pokemon, however, were suddenly interrupted by a cranky Jeff snatching the bag from his hands and almost burying half his body into it, trying to find something to eat in it's nonexistent void. Deciding it best not to argue, Merrick turns his full attention to the Solosis and moves closer in a friendly matter.
"Er...hi there," he said, "Did you get separated from your trainer?"
Synthis was also as curious, moving to Merrick side while attempting to sniff the energy around the floating Pokemon.
