I'm all for bringing more people in.

Stick around and try to grab our attention. Some of us might take a while to reply, so don't feel like you're being ignored. Minimize your client or whatever you're using and carry on like normal until a conversation starts.
Though it appears this topic is trying to avoid that laziness... If more people do it, though, we'll eventually become more lively.

News and Announcements / Re: Mega Man Legends 3 Has Been Cancelled

The cancellation of Legends 3 makes me feel like I was a cute little puppy being teased with a biscuit, only to be slapped in the face and locked up in a pen instead.

I have no interest in the 3DS for the moment... Hopefully something good comes along besides the OoT remake.

I'm trying my best to avoid spoilers for Episode 8... I'm still reading 7 after all.

I've been playing Ougon Musou Kyoku the past couple of days and it's pretty fun. It's a solid fighter despite the lack of diverse moves for each character.
I think it would be great if it makes the jump to Arcade or atleast gets a few more iterations in the future.

Oh, and hopefully patches will add in a certain character whose sprites/data were found but not completed.

I've got about 70 hours so far. I've finished all offline quests except for the final you get by finishing everything.
Deviljho, Nargacuga and Tigrex in the arena.
I've had no problem with any of the quests so far. Perhaps Unite spoiled me with it's horrid difficulty, but now... This quest man... I can't live against this thing! I get OHKO'd three times within the first ten minutes!

I read the first volume and have 2-3 but I never got around to finishing them. Regardless, I'm excited to watch this. Atleast I won't spoil myself with the novels beforehand now!

I've been playing this game the last couple of days. Imported my save file so I have the bonus MHP2G content and re-created my old character.

Anyone else got it yet? All the improvements make it an extremely fun game over Unite.

I'll probably continue to use Great Swords, Hammers, and Lances evenly. I really loved using the Gunlance in Unite, so if they've improved in P3rd as an offensive version of the lance I'll convert to those with lances as a backup weapon of sorts.

I'll still use everything else when need be depending on my friend focuses on.

Character selection and a nearly full match between Eva-Beatrice, Ronove, Shannon, and Virgilia.

Well, I thought I'd post this here as I didn't see anything after a search.

Who's up for Fumoffu? styled episodes featuring the characters from Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night?

A good fighting game for a change. One worth playing that isn't Touhou based.
Have you tried Melty Blood? It's a good fighting game and it's not Touhou based.
Guilty Gear too, but the bosses are cheaters.

Well, in that case you could look around on the Monster Hunter Wiki and see what armor sets on which gender look the best, then pick your character's gender from that.
Nargacuga is here, so we'll have the awesome female Narga set to go with it, but the male Rathalos armor is pretty cool as well...

I'll probably just end up re-creating my female hunter from MHFU.

I can't remember whether I was reading it on /jp/ or the Umineko forums from Witch Hunt, but there was a comment about using character-related themes and maybe some stage themes.

Imagine, if George is announced and we get Victima propiciatoria for his theme.
Otherwise I'm hoping for goldenslaughterer, worldenddominator, mortal stampede, Dread of the Grave, and システム零 (Battler's theme in Episode 4's Tea Party with the Star Trek quotes.)

Females usually have better armor, but in the case of Tri I think alot of the male armor looked better.

Save imports have been confirmed. You (probably) won't get your character from Unite into the game, but Play Time, Quests completed, and felyne armor will be unlocked along with a couple of other small things.

New gameplay trailers. Second one includes voices/sfx and background music. (Dreamenddischarger!)
I am really hyped for this. I love Umineko, and getting to actually play as Battler in a fighting game is beyond awesome.

Looking at some of the screenshots on the site, and the background on the main page, it looks like characters sit down in the background and idle in some specific stages when you aren't playing as them. (Battler, Beatrice, one of the Siestas, and other characters who aren't confirmed as playable yet.)

There's also the meta-field, which you can initiate as some form of burst/heat? Some specials can only be used there.

Of course, but you can't just hook the PSP up to a wireless connection and start playing. Adhoc party for the PS3 or XLink Kai will probably be the easiest things to use to get around the lack of built-in online play.

From what I've heard, both of those always have monhun players from around the world online.

Ahh, I just got the first ending. My total level was 904, and I unlocked Horo, Firo, Taiga, and Celty's costumes.
I'm on my first New Game+ now... Well, actually my second because I got the first alternate ending when (spoilered only for the method)
you beat the 8-bit boss battle
right away on your second playthrough.

Also, try talking to the Prinny at the bottom of your base 10-20 times really fast with your message speed set to the maximum. If you do it right you unlock some costumes. (Not kidding, I thought it was a troll until I actually tried it and it worked...)

Now to playthrough again, and get all the alternate endings and beat the mastery dungeons! This game rocks~

Yeah, my base level is 512 or something now. I was running around in Firo's outfit from Baccano! with a Laser Blade, Frilly dress, and a shotgun (backup weapon in pouch) in hopes of clearing the Toradora dungeon. It's a rather easy dungeon, but I somehow died from a random enemy attack that happened to kill me since I had a low amount of health. (Every other enemy did 0 damage...)

I lost everything... I didn't get to salvage the items I wanted because, well, they were equipped. Everything else was potions or meat.

;_; I'm currently on chapter 6, I think... Maybe 7? I forget. I just beat the
train boss.
You haven't died once in 10 hours? I feel like I must suck at the game now...

Then again I keep dying thanks to the Baccano! dungeon...

Aw, that's too bad. I wanted the Indian girl design to win.

The red-haired chick isn't too bad but she feels a little out of place (Zippers and flames? Really?) so hopefully her design looks a little better when they start going through all the tweaks to make her appearance more MML-ish.

I don't know if it's PSN only. We're getting a UMD release out here as well so Europe should (hopefully) not get the short end of the stick.

It's a rougelike made by NIS, built off of Disgaea's engine with some changes to allow for the new combat system. If you don't know what a rougelike is, think of Izuna, Shiren the Wanderer, or the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games except with crazy stats and nicely polished gameplay.

There's also crossover costumes for you to use, and dungeons specific to other anime series. (Durarara! anyone?)

Here's the known costumes so far, I don't know if there's more or not.

If you didn't click the link: Shana, Horo, Taiga, and Dokuro-chan!

Anyone play it yet? Discuss!

Edit:
Also, your wife is a Prinny.

Off The Wall / Re: They wants to pass YET ANOTHER Anti piracy bill.
« on: October 28, 2010, 11:42:48 PM »
I received an e-mail from the petition site.
Quote
Thanks to your help, we got the Internet blacklist bill tabled until after the election. But now the big guys are fighting back: the U.S. Chamber of Commerce just sent a letter demanding the Senate pass the bill as soon as they come back in November.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is one of the most powerful groups in Washington -- you may have heard about the $75 million they're spending this year to get their favorite politicians elected. That's on top of hundreds of millions they've already spent on lobbyists. If they're going to take us on, we need to fight back.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce draws support from local businesses all across the country who join through local chambers of commerce. Many of these locals have no idea about the extreme agenda their money is supporting. So we're letting them know -- and pressuring them to quit today.

There's another petition to sign but it's the same quick-and-easy form to fill out, so it's hardly a hassle.
