The thing is, this is surprisingly unlike Nintendo.

I'll agree to that. Nintendo is usually better on their game.

It's more than just the jail bars. Something about it being a different output format than the original. I just can't remember what exactly.

Also, all the after market products are pretty bad from my stand point. Especially in the sound department. it's not even close. I don't know why either. I'd rather maintain my side loader any day.

No problems here yet. You're of course going to get a highlight reel cause this is the age of Youtube, so it's hard to say how much of this is just a normal amount of defective units or if it is abnormal. Same was done for the PS4's launch but no one remembers that anymore. Same for the Xbox360's black slim models.

As for the controllers de-syncing, I have a theory. By no means a defense, but wireless communication usually gets cut off in front of TV's. If you put a bluetooth near a TV screen it'll kill the signal immediately most of the time. I had non-bluetooth wireless keyboard and mice that did the same as well. There may be frequencies that don't have this problem, as I have one mouse that does work in that case, but it's possible the Switch uses that. I think it has to do with the radiation coming off the screen overpowering it.

I agree that the Switch doesn't feel that sturdy. The base especially feels cheap and I was very surprised to see that the screen contacting part of the base was simply plastic. Disappointed on that. My joycons don't wiggle when in handheld mode though, that I have noticed.

I think part of the problem is also that the Switch, unlike the 3DS, and WiiU, has barely any protection int he box. The packaging is very bare and the screen is flat agaisnt the side of the box with basically no protection.

The top loader apparently has inferior graphics. I can't remember why technically but I do see a difference though. I have both versions. I use the side loader primarily because it has AV out, unlike the top loader. It makes it easier to play on modern monitors and I can easily record it for my streams.

I put it on BlueStacks, the Android emulator (you can link and download from Google Play), and it worked fantastic on my gaming rig. Use Joy2Key to hook up a gamepad and viola.

Would still want it working on a console though. Portable on switch? Yes please.

Oh, also;

Hyrule Warriors returns tomorrow! @ ~7-7:30 PM EST

Got that Link amiibo to unlock the god damn spinner weapon.

Ouch, what happened.

He was immediately pissed off that I put a crying anime character and the Sonic with pizza images in the usual starting soon rotation.

His rig messed up that time he streamed Mega Man Legacy Collection for about an hour, so I'm having a hard time believing the accusations he's been throwing at towards Mighty No. 9

Different computer. That is the old slow one.

Starting about 7-7:30 PM EST, whenever Tim gets back and logs on for it. I'm contemplating just running some more Hyrule Warriors earlier if I get bored later before he shows up.

Wow, that stuff looks like a bad deviantArt project. The writing better be spectacular to make this watchable. Given the plot details we already know however, my expectations are so low I'm about to pull out the shovel and dig it's grave early so it can settle right in just as the airing of episode 1 comes to a close.

-EDIT-Seems to be up on Steam now, but I'd rather get it on Playism since you score a DRM-free copy as well as a Steam key.

AND a Steam key?? Maybe I will do that then.
