This is very important, because why shouldn't there be any convenience with half of the problems not yet solved? Until that gets some closure, everybody will be waiting on you, Threxx. Good :)

I haven't really looked much into this fan game, but I can tell you right off the bat, right now! That for sure, it's agreeable that there's no question about it; I have absolutely no doubt in my mind and it's pretty clear: it can now be said with certainty that you have my word, this is not unlikely; it's more than just possible or probable; you can bet that it's spot on when I say that it's a fact and a given; the tables are turned and it's less doubtful, so the stakes are raised, thus all bets are off and everything's now more definite than ever that it's unarguable to be guaranteed and there's no denying it

What can be said about Revenge of the Fallen? In this game, the fallen gets revenge! Am I dong it right?

Anyway, I haven't gotten around to the game but I will. One thing that concerns me is why this game's engine is a derivative of the one from Mega Man Rocks. Not the worst thing, but kind of a worrying concept. I'd like to see. But then the combination of MMR's engine with MMU's spike jungles sounds like a bicycle ride 100km uphill on frustration boulevard with flat tires and on maximum gear.

Meh, I didn't think this game was that bad. Perhaps my view is biased and I find the flaws much more excusable due to the sinfully numerous Mega Man fan games I've played. You'd definitely be more lenient in that regard.

EDIT: HOLY CRAP! Look at the time this post was made; I didn't even realize that and only noticed it because right after posting this, the forums marked my post as "yesterday".

Fan Games / Anyone play Mega Man 3D 2 Siege of Megacity?
« on: February 07, 2014, 05:46:14 AM »
I'm trying to find Bomb Man to fight. He's a hidden boss in the city and I don't know where he's located. I beat all the other bosses, though.

Eh, sounds good to me.

Oh, I also gave the "3D" fan games a play through. I like them in that they're fun and enjoyable, though I don't think it fits to include them in this list of fan games. Speaking of which, there's also the 2.5D fangame that I should probably look into when they have more content to offer.

Aside from Rockman 7 and 8 FC, I can't really spot too many others to suggest (or at least, ones that aren't out yet). In those regards, we still have Mega Man Eternal to look forward to. From what I understand, it's supposed to be released sometime between early-to-midway of this year. Aside from that, there's another one planned for release called Mega Man: Revenge of the Fallen (no relation to that awful Transformers movie, hopefully). The game itself looks...well, half-way decent, at least from what I've seen in its demo videos. It certainly looks to be a bit better than Mega Man Project Zero, that's for sure.

Oh, forgot to mention those 2. Yeah, I finished them too, but back when I was going through a bunch of the official games at the same time. I'm definitely keeping an eye out for Mega Man: Revenge of the Fallen, but almost forgot about Eternal. Thanks for reminding me, I'll need to keep up with that one, too.

Would Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Return be one of the ones you've already beaten? It's no longer able to be found on the internet, but I have a copy of it if you'd like it. It's pretty decent aside from a few issues here and there (Energy Man has an unavoidable flashing attack, most of the weapons are straight fire, the weakness loop is not properly closed so two of them are weak to one another).

EDIT: There's also Super Mega Man 1 and Super Mega Man 2, but you may find them not terribly entertaining to play.

I think someone is hosting Dr Wily's Return on a google page (what is it, google docs or something). I've played that one, too; thanks anyway. It was pretty good, though screwy at times. I actually beat one of the Wily stage bosses due to a glitch, heheh.

Super Mega Man 1 and 2 are among the pile of GM games I trudged through. Although really bad games, they surprisingly gave me less trouble than PZ. Super Mega Man 3, I thought was quite decent. It felt like a novice's nod to Mega Man 10. The only problem I see with it is its joke difficulty. The mechanics and overall gameplay felt like Mega Man and was nice.

Mega Man Unlimited?

What's that :P

But seriously, I've gone through so many of them, I should have made a list as I went along. And yeah, I've beaten Mega Man 42 a few weeks ago.

Here are some I've beaten, among maybe 80 of them.

Mega Man Rocks
Mega Man Rock Force
Mega Man Unlimited
Mega Man 42
Mega Man Paradise (ugh)
Mega Man Christmas Carol 1, 2, remix
Hard Hat 1-4
Rokko Chan
an assload of Game Maker games I suffered through, like Mega Man Project Zero.
Super Mega Man 3.
Mega Man VS Metroid and Ghosts N Goblins
Mega Man Scramble (though it doesn't really count)
Day in the Limelight 1 and 2.
Mega Man Revolution
Super Danny 1, 2 and remix
Mega Pony (and don't want to go through again)
Nezumi Man
Star Man (original and remake)

And list others, I'll see if I've beaten them or not.

Fan Games / Any Mega Man classic series fan games left to beat?
« on: February 04, 2014, 10:00:17 PM »
I've completed pretty much all of them out there and am looking for more to play. Name any and I'm guaranteed to have beaten it. Don't include demos.

Don't include ROM hacks, either. While there are some really good, distinguishing ones, there's just simply thousands upon millions of ROM hacks out in the wild and the numbers are only increasing. I have a bad habit of not keeping standards that I set, and I'll probably end up in that "bottomless pit".

Yeah, I agree, Mega Man Unlimited takes things too far with the tedious death traps. Not only that, many of the regular enemies and dangers just do too much damage; and the enemies are awkward/too gimmicky in how you attack them. It's almost like MegaPhilX played Mega Man 9 and decided "How can I top that brutality?". Then he saw Mega Man 9's Superhero mode and decided "How can I top that brutality?" Then Mega Man 10 came out and he decided - well, you get the picture. It seems like he has a notion that everyone loved Mega Man 9 due to its ball-breaking challenge, so his game would be loved for being even more challenging.

Well, it's not an AWFUL game either. It has some great ideas (and terrible ones, however) and, stuff. And it's nowhere near as bad as Mega Man Project Zero in terms of mercilessness.

Or how about that piece of crap Mega Man Paradise.

My best guess is that this happened due to a heart condition, because from everything I've seen him in, he's been about the same weight.

If you look carefully, he had lost a fair amount of weight and had been in a more healthy weight range. But that unfortunately doesn't undo any damage that may have been done when he was really overweight.

But consider his age, too. That, and the fact that he died due to a COMPLICATION from a heart surgery he had. Wasn't directly caused by the heart condition itself.

RIP, great man.

I see. Still, I'm pretty interested in trying it out. It's a bit of a fan game craze for me around this time; just playing a whole bunch of fan-made games/demos. They're all pretty fun. I played through Mega Man Unlimited, which felt pretty authentic :)

Splash, since you linked to the game, do you know how to reach the game's author (maybe his email)?

Oh, thanks a lot :)

Only left is the Russian user's Mega Man fan game. From that thread, it seems VixyNyan played the game, so maybe she still has it? I hope so. Only problem is that I don't think I can contact her. I tried sending a PM before for another matter, but got no response...

Oh, by the way, I was wondering if anyone might have the fan game called Mega Man Retron, also.
