I figured since we have the "What Are You Thinking" (General thoughts) and "What's Upsetting You" threads (kinda gloomy just on concept), we should have a thread to celebrate the small joys of life, be it the things that are making you happy right now or the things that lift your mood in general. If anyone thinks this thread is redundant or what-have-you feel free to lock/delete it. I couldn't find anything like this in Off The Wall anyway.
Right now:
- I spent the day catching up with my best friend. I haven't had a chance to spend time with him since before Christmas, so it was great just shooting the breeze and having fun.
- My mum got accepted for a new job today. She's been really unhappy with her current one for a long time, so seeing her happy makes me happy.

My new job is slow and cushy.
I officially came out as trans on Facebook.
The weather is great.
I finally finished the Sailor Moon manga.
Its a good day.

I'm slowly feeling less like [parasitic bomb] physically.

Blue skies and sunshine outside, and my copy of SA2B just arrived in the post. Life is good.

It seems the MP3 player I order is going to come a day or 2 early.

GC Memory Card arrived today. Just waiting on the console, now.

Managed to get started on a (hopefully) short story today to see if I can jumpstart my creativity.

This is going to sound corny as hell, but it finally hit me today just how much I love this place.
I never really had any real friends as a kid (I was friendly with one or two people, but they'd come and go as they pleased.), and I didn't know anyone that even remotely shared my interests until I was about 14. Even now there's only one person I know IRL that I can wholeheartedly call a friend instead of a friendly acquaintance. Knowing there's a place where I can pretty much just be me, and people will not only tolerate but occasionally encourage my weirdness is.....It makes me happier than I can describe.

Pretty much. The only other one I ever signed up for was the Official Nintendo Magazine UK one, and that website's been shut down since the mag was cancelled.
RPM's my one and only, I guess you could say.

Been alone with my thoughts a lot, lately. Came to accept some stuff about myself I kinda didn't want to. All I need to do now is....find a way to take that first step towards fixing this.
I'm sitting here, the sun pouring through my window, a beautiful blue sky outside, playing my favourite RPG of all time. For the first time in a long time, I actually, legitimately, think I'm gonna be OK.

Speaking of F-Zero, the OneUps have a new album coming out at MAGFest and they're covering F-Zero's Port Town and I am legit excited to hear it! 8)

Currently attempting to clear ANYTHING in this game on Master/Very Hard Class.

I've done it once before, about 7-8 years ago. I WILL do this again.

Today has been a good day. Spent most of it playing F-Zero, and in that time....
- I've cleared the Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond Cups on Master Class.
- Reached the final mission (#9) of Story Mode
- Cleared Story Missions 2, 4 and 8 on Very Hard.
Mission 8 alone took me a solid week or so of playing when I managed it about a decade ago. I guess wisdom really does come with age.
All that's really left to do besides unlocking all the character movies is
- AX Cup on Master-class.
- Finish Story Mission 9
- Finish Missions 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 on Very Hard. 1, 5 and 7 are gonna be [sonic clicer]s to clear though. I was never able to beat 7 on anything other than normal.
But Yeah! Good day!

I now officially have the next 16 days off work. And it's m'birthday on Tuesday too. Life is good.

Another one of my models arrived today, so one of my four shelves is now full. I'm deep into research for one of my character bios, I've already got a basic structure for my next short story already planned, and I'm listening to some of favourite music.
It's days like this that make all the terrible ones worth enduring. :)

I don't even know what's going on anymore.
She called me out of the blue, so we spoke for a little bit, then seconds later, she texted me saying it was actually her sister that called me and now she's apologizing.
Goddamnit
Edit: okay, we ironed things out, I guess her sister was fooling around because she wanted her to call me for the longest time.

I was confused at first, but it ended up being a good thing her sister dialed my number, because after that, we called for real in order to clear the air.
A few months ago, she told me she had anxiety over calling new people, so we decided to wait and got to know each other better.

The weather's been beautiful today, I met up with my best friend for the first time in a fortnight, the parcels I'm still waiting on from my birthday should turn up tomorrow, I'm slowly getting back into actively contributing stuff to this place again AND I've managed to wrangle a couple extra days off work next week - so, 4 day weekend! Woop woop! 8)
Life is good.

My FreeLoader Disc works perfectly, I just got done playing my favourite levels in Sonic Heroes and my writing is coming along nicely. All is right with the world.

So there's this girl in Minnesota I met on my sports blog last November. The 11th, to be exact. We've really hit it off.
I just bought a plane ticket to see her the weekend of November 11th. I am really really really happy right now! 8)
