And as the soundtrack booklet hints (http://forum.rockmanpm.com/index.php?topic=3876.0), when Forte/Bass has been downloaded, the title screen will push him next to Blues/Protoman.
Are you up to the challenge?

Wow, Enker's going to make a re-appearance? :D
-
I can't wait to abuse the Ballade Cracker. Heh heh heh........
-
Wow Enker's finally making a comeback since his debut on the old Gameboy games. Pity that I can only afford one of the special stages after buying Bass as a playable character (may as well be Enker for since it will immediately available on the same day as Bass' availability). I'm a bit surprised that American Wii owners gets their downloads a day earlier than Japan's.
-
I've only got 700 Wii points atm, so Ballade will have to wait.
-
wow exciting
-
Meh,I Might Get these depending weither or not i get a PSN Card..(i'm planning to get the Wii version soon tho)
-
How do I download mm10 on my ps3?(noob here T_T)
-

Wii = Wii Shop Channel
PS3 = Playstation Network
360 = Xbox Live Arcade
-
Lol Special Stage 1 was too short. It was great but not worth the wait :/
-
Special Stage 1's a surprisingly accurate re-creation of Wily Stage 1 from Dr. Wily's Revenge, so it was naturally short. I kinda like how Capcom tried to alleviate the cheap deaths in the stage with those time-bombs. It was far worse on the GB, as the small screen size had you killed if you jumped down the wrong way. And wow, I forgot how annoying Enker was without the Mega Arm & slide. :o
-
They made Enker a bit more challenging this time.
Now he can stand at the center of the boss room, and he doesn't stand still so much compare to the original fight. ^^;
Waiting for tomorrow~ <3
-
So he is finnaly a threat? What about Bass mode? Anything new?
-

And here I was beginning to wonder if that had been there all along. I lost a couple of times because I was beginning to doubt that shooting him during his charge was actually doing any real damage. The formula for beating him's pretty much the same (sans the ability to stand still in the center), so it wasn't too troublesome. I wonder what his actual weakness is?
I think the MM Killers are going to get harder from here on out; they were originally fought when you had a charge shot and slide, so beating them without either one will prove to be quite challenging. I wonder if we get to fight both forms of Ballade?
-
Yea, you will fight both forms in Special Stage 3. Oh and Forte DLC is nothing different than the hack we played.
-
Anybody know what Enker's weakness is?
-
Someone might have figured it out already. ^^;
But if not, I'll damage chart it tomorrow. o.o
Maybe the buster is the only weapon that works? It's Enker, you know.
-
Buster is the only one that works, just beat him a few seconds ago.
Of course, same thing as Fake man going on, No weapon after beating him. Seems its just for fun.
-
Yea... this is why both hacks, sprite rips and official showed us the weapons duh. Maybe after all DLC are out.
-

Actually, the only difference I saw is that what was probably already stated. The title screen gets changed, and Bass portrait gets added in next to Proto Man's portrait. It's a pretty nice addition. ;)
I find playing Bass is a bit harder. Considering his shots don't go through walls, and does less damage to enemies.
-
Unfortunately (yet fortunately), I was only able to pick up Bass today. After buying Mega Man 10 and Final Fight 2, I only had just enough to buy Bass and no more.
Well worth it though, he's actually really fun to play as.
-
LOL I can't believe that I stayed up late last night (at 12:15 AM) just so I can get first dibs on Bass only to realize the DLC was not available yet at the time... -u-' After homework -- BASS TIME!

Yes he is.

Actually you do get his weapon. The game just doesn't show the get weapon animation, which is a bit dissapointing.

Actually, I've got the Mirror Buster and am loving it! Unfortunately, only Megaman can use it, but at least it applies to Hard Mode as well. I haven't checked to see if it works in challenge mode or not.

Dash-jumping in an 8-bit title feels so...great! You know that little alcove in Chill Man's stage (right before the boss room) with the energy capsules? I shot right out of there and made if much further than I expected to. Dash-jumping over Chill Man's head felt pretty awesome too!
-
Any live streams to watch? :U
-
Dash-jumping over Chill Man's head felt pretty awesome too!
Did you try jumping over his head whilst he was jumping straight at you? Cause that feels pretty damn awesome too, especially if you manage to scrape his head with Bass' foot/leg in mid-air.
-

No, I think I'll have to try that! I've dashed under him when he jumped at me, and I fly over his head when he decided to start running. I'll have to try the Treble Boost in a boss fight as well, seems like it could be useful.
-
Bass takes some getting adjusted to, not just in the context of this game, but for those that played Mega Man and Bass.
In the context of Mega Man and Bass, Bass' Dash cannot be mapped to a single button; sliding/dashing will take some adjustment and fingerplay.
In the context of the game itself, Bass' Rapid Buster is VERY useful for midbosses and somewhat more useful for bosses, but stage enemies are a bit trickier. The Double Jump is gone, so Bass does not have the second jump to have the equivalent of Mega or Proto's buster. You also can't move and shoot unless you jump (or I would suggest short hopping). You also cannot shoot through walls, which is quite the safety net in these games.
Very interesting character to play as. Proto Man changed up the game a little bit with all of his attributes; Bass breaks just as much, if not more, ground as far as the tactics of beating a Classic Mega Man game.
-
I never use single button dashing as long as the directional pad is A-okay.
I am disappoint in my PSP's directional pad being so effin' stiff, couldn't dash worth [parasitic bomb].
But I can't even play MM10 so I don't know why I bothered to mention this.
-
Having played Xtreme2 to hell and back doing the Down+B to dash isn't all that awkward (although double-tapping 2 for a dash-jump doesn't feel as sensitive as it should; I'm having a hard time dash-jumping from a standstill). Even having played MM&B, though, the inability to move and shoot is not a limitation you expect in an NES game, so that takes some getting used to. Also, in NES body-to-screen-size proportions, you're shooting much further, so the blind spots between your shooting directions are a lot more apparent. Still, playing as Bass is awesome.
Enker is a [sonic slicer]. That is all.
-
I was watching qzecwx's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zkhkMigWD4) run of Enker's stage.
I was blown away by the near re-creation of the stage.
It was almost like in World 1, and they even added one of the yoku block segment from the Wily Station stage.
Very impressive.
As for Enker himself, go to see he's still as challenging as in World 1, since you didn't have charge shot nor slide then either.
And loved that he could also stop in the middle of the room to attack, instead of just at the ends. Also, skidding. :3

Videos of the last 2 special stages.
-
Hmm...seems like Punk has gotten faster. Ballade seems to be using the pattern of both of his forms from MMIV
-
I would reckon they were made faster to compensate for the increase in resolution.
-
Cool stuff. I have two questions:
1. How'd the guy unlock the two special stages already?
2. Can you use Bass or Proto Man in the special stages?
-
In response to your second question: Not likely. The rules clearly state that only Mega Man can be used, IIRC.
-
1. How'd the guy unlock the two special stages already?
I think the DLC save file has been hacked. o.o
Posted on: April 07, 2010, 21:31:16
And now I have access to them too. ^^;
So much ice in Endless Attack. o.o;
-
Are you going to stream them or wait till they're officially out or just playing them normally? I'd love to see what Endless mode is like in this.
-
Maybe it can be streamed later. I sent a PM for now. (Anyone else wanna see?)
-
I wouldn't mind watching a stream.
-
Those were some really nice stages. I lol'd at Strike Man's boss area. XD
I also saw at least 2 more Dr.Wily stages from past MM games. Endless mode hasn't failed me yet!
-
Ah, good old Punk. I think I once described him as a mix of MetalMan and Metal Sonic. I like how now you can't slide under him, but he has an altitude where you don't have to jump at all.
Ballade... They give him a mouth, but no raised horns and shades? Good to see him in color though. These stages are a fun nostalgia rush, especially since I TASed the games they came from. They remind me of that time somebody hacked CutMan's stage to resemble the Game Boy version. The exploding barrier puzzles are back--were they anywhere else in MegaMan 10? And are you just screwed if you get to the barriers you have to break under your feet without a special weapon?
-
God.
Wily Stage World 3... And Wily Yamato World 4... Awesome stage re-creations again.
Ballade's was the closest it got for the Wily Yamato, and even added those explosive barriers from the Wily Base stage.
Then again, Punk's was just as brilliantly re-created from Wily Stage World 3.
These videos brings so much tears to me eyes. O^O
Though... Where's my powered up Ballade? D:
-
I think the DLC save file has been hacked. o.o
Ooh, hacked like Bass mode was at release or permanently hacked into the game? Are the leaderboards working?
-
Permanently, with leaderboards too. ^^; </wii>
-
Ballade... They give him a mouth, but no raised horns and shades?
Both forms are in the game's tile data... Either there's a way to trigger it, or it went unused.
-
Question on the menu screen what is under the challenge listing? I see a bunch of question marks. Is that because I haven't finished the game on normal yet? (haven't had a chance to play)
-
On each difficulty, you can unlock challenges for bosses you met.
Example:
NITRO E (beat boss, no damage, any weapon)
NITRO N (beat boss, no damage, any weapon)
NITRO H (beat boss, no damage, buster only)
There is a full list here:

ARGH! That ENKER! Stupid middle of the room! And a tiny room at that!
It's a good thing I like him!
-
Not sure if anyone knows yet or not, but I was playing with Bass tonight and I discovered that you can knock the shield off some enemies with his buster via rapid fire.
-
You could actually see that in the trailer. Anyway, that is pretty cool. I also discovered that you could actually boost Bass' jumps after dashing.
-
It's awesome to blow the shields out of Sniper Joes' hands.
Since this is the tenth game, big milestone, I half expected Bass to blow the Metools' helmets off!
BUT THE METOOL WAS MUCH TOO STROOOOOONG! /jackblack
-
It's awesome to blow the shields out of Sniper Joes' hands.
Now there's something else I didn't know...
-
I don't think I'd want to see a helmetless Mettaur.
I have a feeling someone will soon be drawing a helmetless Mettaur and posting it here.
-
Checking my Photobucket, I already did that... poorly.

-
I meant well done. Like Acid.
-
Item wearing Metools, aka Fake items of MM9 are sort of helmetless Metools. ;)
But yea, taking off their helmets would just make them look like a black ball with feet.
I could probably do a few 8-bit metool sprites helmetless, but i doubt they would be worth anything.
-
hehehe
-
I've been playing Endless Mode all night, it's fantastic! owob
The tilesets are really interesting, they look more RM-esque than the Endless mode in MM9 which had kind of a Wily feel.
-
Getting ready and then playing some things. ^^b (http://www.justin.tv/vixynyan)
-
Must get this on my PS3 now...
-
Am I really the only one who can't watch due to a clusterfuck of shitty ads and badly organized flashstuff?
-
What, no bump to remind people that Special Stage 2 and 3 and Endless Attack are now available for Wii? It's so early in the day, even I'm 11th on the Special Stage 3 leaderboard after my second try!!! XD
...I'll be off it in 10 minutes...
-
Oh [parasitic bomb] how could I forget... [tornado fang] me... [tornado fang] me...
-
Enker is weak to Ballade's weapon. And Punk is weak to Enkers'. Clever not having access to the other two weapons until now.
-
It was known already. Look at our damage chart. ^^
Any moment now, Japan DLC coming~ x3 </wii>
-

if you insist
