H: What is IT, you ask? Not to brag just yet but I hope these leaked pictures will be a clue. These pictures aren't supposed to be shown for another 11 days but oh well. More pics to come soon. Only 1 level for preview is availabe and it's just a map.

If you are re-coloring it to be that robot master stage at least use the original colors or use colors from the nes/gb.

I thought that was Heatman's stage at first, but looking at more photos, it is Fireman's stage from Rockman World.

H: Ironically, this was the excuse that a Capcom rep gave me at E3 2005 about the constant delays of the GBA port. Bad Coloring job. Crashman's stage in MM2 was going to be pink at the time.

Why the PSP? Not enough space on the DS? Nothing against the PSP--I own one--but it seems like an odd choice for a Game Boy compilation.

Either for the fact that it can emulate past nintendo games (and avoiding Sega's constant emulation tactics) or for the fact they are taking the "Rockman Rockman" route.

Well, it DOES seem that the PSP is a big favorite over there, and it's happened before (the NDS Xenosaga compilation port, either post-III or before III).

H: OK I guess the jig is up prematurely. I should not have said anything about "11 days". But seriously, the key to an April Fools prank is to set up ahead of time to make it more believable. >0<
Keep an eye on Capcom-Unity possibly on April 1st or before that since the staff is in on it too. Shhh! :V

I figured they were ripping colors from FireMan's own sprite to use as the background colors.

How shocking! How unexpected! How derp.
Though, I'm amused that some people cared so much.

H: The best thing about making things in Game Maker is that it co-operates with the tiling so the colors of the stage can be adjusted simply by recolor the designated tile. This is a WIP fan project. As for why I said the PSP as the system, GBA is dead and it was really too late to set up the DS version of the prank in time. My idea for the DS/DSi prank was to have a narrower + dual screen display.
One screen would have had the gameplay. If I decided the bottom then the top screen would have a graphical display of the weapon in use and a meter to show how much is left as an energy bar there so it won't obstruct any views. If gameplay was the bottom screen, I'd have a touch screen with the weapons where you could touch it to switch to it. I should've planned ahead even further so I settled for PSP.

The screens could have been colored better. But the joke's too obvious ... and similar jokes have been done by RMPM too often in the past.
Shoulda gone for a faked video of gameplay or a fake advertisement with fake gameplay. Videos are always more convincing than still screens.

If she had made this a video, using the screens from MM Mania as a base, and leaked it onto YouTube instead of here on the forums ... it'd be more impressive.

From past experience, RPM needs to stay smalltime on April Fools Jokes. The reaction of anger that the last few times have gotten from the general morons is ridiculous on a day meant for joking around and laughing that you got caught. These people, of course, hate to admit they were fooled and must LASH OUT.

You're probably one of the ones who got asspained over it last year, then. I loved last years because it caught me off guard and I laughed it off. It was simply, obviously a fake, but it was enjoyable. If your only method of guarding against April Fools is to become a complete and utter prick, it'd be better off if you just hung out in your closest all day.
Seriously, people like that are better of just ODing on sleeping pills for the day. Or the week.
