Capcom-Unity (http://www.capcom-unity.com/jgonzo/blog/2010/02/11/mega_man_special_weapons_revealed) has revealed the release dates for all three systems, as well as the 8 Weapons your Rock or Blues will be receiving when they teach those Robot Masters to respect the ways of Justice, Peace, and Yellow Scarves.

You could simply follow the link above, or I can just tell you. Either way, you win!

WiiWare = March 1st
PSN = March 11th
XBL = March 31st

Of course, this clearly means that Nintendo wins the Console Race, for the first to have Playable Blues wins EVERYTHING! 8)

The "Mega Man Challenges" lets you practice on stages by clearing a couple of challenges and it will also let players learn the basics of the game before jumping right into the main course, which is the Story Mode itself. No matter if you're a scrub or a champ, the game will help you become better and better.

"Easy Mode" is excellent for the players who haven't been playing these type of games in ages, and will help keep up in tip-top shape.

I updated the post with more info about the Challenges and Easy Mode.

And there's a whole lot of screenshots too.
The file names are related to the weapons that Rock is using. ^^;

Oh, and remember, the Japanese and European versions might be coming out a few days after the American release dates, with Japanese release on a Tuesday-Wednesday, and European release on a Thursday-Friday.

I'm lovin' the Wheel Cutter and Solar Blaze. Thunder Wool is pretty cool, but it seems like it'd sap up a lot of power to use, while not doing too much in the way of doing anything other than attack.

All of these powers sound uncharacteristically awesome. I like Triple Blade, but Wheel Cutter is definitely tops if you can climb walls (which will almost undoubtedly be part of the Wily Stages, same with Chill Man's weapon).

Now that we got that outta the way. Let me get back to the topic.

Wheel Cutter, got me at saw weapon, hooked me in with wallclimbing.
Commando Bomb could be one of my favorites.
I was hoping Blade Man would give some sort of Charging(Dashing) Slash attack, but Triple Blade's good too I guess.
Thunder Wool...LIGHTNING!!
Solar Blaze looks like a good weapon.
Chill Spike, Frozen C.Shot, now with added spikes...and less platforms (I'll be damned if this weapon happens to ALSO freeze large doom lasers in their tracks, it didn't make any sense in MM9 and it will make less sence with this!).
Rebound Striker...simply awesome.
As for Water Shield, I'm hoping it will be just/almost as good as Satellite Jewel. I kinda doubt it though.

Challenge Mode looks like fun :)...I'm going to fail so much at those spiked ceiling jumping sections.

Wall climbing is very different, that screenshot kinda reminds me of using Magnet beam in Wily Stage 1 of MM1.

Sorry for another post, but I have to say this.

Does anyone else feel that the artwork for Rebound Striker, that MegaMan's pose gives that "POKEBALL, GO!" action to it? Something about that pose there is just that in my opinion.

If you hold down the button, it will stay attached to Rock's arm. In turn, this can be used to climb walls.

Rebound Striker also equals Gemini Laser. Judging by the description, Water Shield starts off as a Spinning Shield then functions like a thrown shield or functions like the Power Stone.

Looking at the Water Shield, I can see that they've changed the sprite around since the last screen-shots of it.

Either that, or the sprite for MegaMan's Water Shield is different than Pump Man's.

Think I don't remember Metal Blade? But was there such a weapon in 9? No!

Now they've worked the physics on diagonal shots in the new Wii/PS3/360 code, so while they're at it, might as well program Bass. Especially as game-breaking, profit-raking DLC.

The weapons actually sound pretty cool. It's going to be hard to top 9's arsenal, but it sounds like 10 has a chance.

It is pretty bad that they use exactly the same weapon as Crash Man, but it makes me happy for some reason. Crash Man is my favorite boss.. or one of my favorite bosses, and the weapon makes me nostalgic.
The rest of the weapons looks awesome, i actually think this might be one of the better Mega Man games. Mega Man 9 was legen.. wait for it.. dary!

I think there may be some small truth to the idea that 9's weapons were a bit overpowered. Then again, when you're going for those challenges, it's pretty much a requisite.

Good to see another shield again, that's for sure. Do we need something like Tornado Blow? Eh, probably not. So 10's arsenal levels the playing field just the right amount while still offering weapons that will protect you if you have enough skill (Rebound Striker and Triple Knife, namely).

Ooooh the weapons...

Water Shield - Meh...I can dodge, so why need a barrier/shield? 8B
Commando Bomb - seems powerful. I like the blasting radius/effect.
Wheel Cutter - I actually want some kind of Wheel Kirby instead of this.
Triple Blade - Yay! Throwing ~~Knife~~ Blade!
Solar Blaze - ......
Chill Spike - If those spikes means instant death to foes then YEAH!!!
Rebound Striker - the "each bound increases attack power" seems interesting at least.

So base on the current given information the best weapons for me so far are Triple Blade, Rebound Striker, & Thunder Wool.
