Ouroboros was basically a giant floating metallic ship....that does absolutely nothing besides spawn Mavericks.
Short of repeating Weil's Ragnarok/ Sigma's Eurasia gambit, I don't see how it by itself was so dangerous. How was Albert going to do anything with it?
-
We don't know because
CLIFFHANGER
Ouroboros Is made from a fuckton of Model W cores, with Albert at its center controlling it. It can spawn mavericks, but im sure it has other gimmicks to it as well. Plus hello, Its made from Model W's. I think its a safe bet that Albert could absorb large quantities of souls that way.
Then, when all is said and done, He uses his Godly Ouroboros A trans and recreates life the way he sees fit.
Actually, I think the main question is not how he was going to reset the world, but more how he was going to repopulate it.

Bifrost: My name is Bifrost... Guardian of the sleeping soldiers. When the new world is born, they shall awaken and exterminate the old-world inhabitants.
-
Genocide eh? That sounds stupid, lets just destroy the entire world!
-
Well, considering he could create a perfect, autonomous copy of anything Model W absorbed, he was probably just gonna repopulate the world with Model W clones of the strongest people and call it good.
-
He was going on to create his own "Human Instrumentaly Project". Model V or better said Ouroboros serves as the vessel for all life, meaning to collect and to contain all the souls of mankind and reploids. Ouroboros will become a new egg of Life, while Albert becomes a perfect being, which power rivals that of a god. All life may it be artifical or not, will become one with Model W. How has SEELE said it? "The fate of destruction is also the joy of rebirth."
All souls will become one.

No, he was doing his Neon Genesis Evangelion homework.

All Albert really wants is his mother.

But Albert's tone and language said he was going to "reset" the world. Not wipe it out, not destroy it, "RESET" it.
He sounded almost like the world was a computer or a video game, to be turned on and off at will
-
Maybe he broke the 4th wall! :o

Reset, AKA wipe everything off the face of the earth. reset it to when there was no living beings.
-
I guess this makes more sense to those of us who have played Legends and are already familiar with techno-terms being applied to biological matters. Reinitializing and such.

As my favorite fork-flinger would say:
If you could just step out of your literal minds for one moment...
You know the difference between a Hard Reset and a Soft Reset, don't you? A Soft Reset merely returns you to the title screen. A Hard Reset means effectively the same thing as turning the game off and then back on. Everything in memory is lost and you start over completely.
Wipe it clean. Start from scratch.
Annihilate the world. Create new life.
Get it?

Ive never played either Legends, and it still makes sense to me.
Its a little something called Common sense.
-
Well, point stands in the absence of that. Common sense isn't all that common. >.>
-
Ironic, eh?
-
Oh yeah, almost forgot:
Ive never played either Legends
*UPPERCUT!!*
Fix that. Now.

And this, thirded.

Fourthed... >.< </wii>

Hey, hey, I want to play them, but I have trouble finding a full Legends 2 UNDER 40 bucks.
seriously. if I can get 1 for 8 bucks, I want to get 2 for a low price as well. Im not about to pay upwards of 30 bucks for it. I mean, hell, maybe im asking too much, but I want a full l2. including the disc, case, and manual.

Now what's that supposed to mean...?

Exactly what it sounds like.

The fact that you cannot find L2 for a reasonable price is unfortunate, but nevertheless, if you can find L1 then start with L1. Even if I consider L2 superior, you miss a lot (enjoyable-wise, not story-wise) by skipping the first. No Legends experience is complete without the Marlwolf battle, among a great many other things.
BTW, it gets worse. Misadventures in a paper sleeve runs nearly 60 bucks on Amazon. o-O
No Power Stone game touches that. =P
-
Meh. Misdventures never really grabbed me. I always wanted to play Legends, but Misadventures just isnt me.
-
You might change your tune once you see the Bonnes and Servbots in action, a whole game of that would be hard-pressed NOT to kick ass. At *LEAST* play the first two bank robbery missions. If you're not laughing your ass off by that point then you're beyond all hope.
-
If I can ever get the games in the first place, sure Ill play em, but till then...
