You need adhoc party, but yes you can do that.
So, what can I expect with this game? How does it ummmmm...how does it work?
So, what can I expect with this game? How does it ummmmm...how does it work?
Of course. They're small Godzillas.
Except for Lao Shan Lung.
He is Godzilla.
although, is the Pro Classic Controller a must for this game?
with all of you. ^^
Hey PB, make sure to give your character red hair, because there's this thing in MH3:
Counts as special helmet.
Looks like this computer will not print screen videos so I can't show you me, which is jus as well as I'm ugly anyway
Cut the crap and show yourself!
How is it?
Harry says:
*WAIT A SEC
*MONSTER HUNTER TRI IS ALREADY OUT?
Gamma says:
*I THINK SO
Harry says:
*JESUS [tornado fang]
*I AM WATCHING A VIDEO OF IT
*I NEED TO GO RIGHT NOW AND BUY IT
Gamma says:
*XDDD
Harry says:
*BACK WITH THE GAME, POKEMON ADVENTURES 6 AND A CHOCOLATE BAR
AND A CHOCOLATE BAR
It was... breathtaking.
You let those insects eat the mushrooms so their sack becomes blue, then you beat them up to get Ripened Mushroom.
The female hunters have the best looking armors in this game! Oh well.
the [tornado fang]ing Lagiacrus tries chases you around and murders you in three hits
Finally had some free time to play, and finally got past the Gobul mission.
Jesus christ, longest battle ever. Clearly I need to upgrade my armor and weapons a ton more.
But before Lagi you will face Barroth.
Did you fish him out with a frog?
Underwater battles blow.
In the same mission? Damn.
I'm busy.
rofl. :v
So what's the deal? Should I buy this game?
If you like challenging games. Yes.
Unlike yourself, I don't have all the free time in the world. |:
Aight, check this [parasitic bomb] out... yo.
You get either a great sword, lance, sword and shield, hammer or a bowgun.
You then hunt some monsters who are total pussies, you got this Jap ship captain who talks like a [Top Spin], and the generic village people.
Then later, you hunt awesome monsters, upgrade your weapons, and armor, and go through fantastic areas with pretty great graphics.
You can also get a switch axe, which is hella tight, and even later, a long sword, which I have no idea what it's like, but I can assume it's badass as [tornado fang].
And so on and so forth, with more awesome monsters, more awesome weapons and armor, etc etc.
What's the deal? The deal is, you get all this, and more, for a price of only $60 or less! (I think.)
I have been pretty busy myself lately... with sleep and all. 8D
Yeah, I think I'll get this the next time I go to Game Stop. And it's $45 here. >_>
Rank 24 now~ <3
I manage to beat Rathalos too.
It will take some time before I can take care of Diablos, Barioth and Uragaan tho. x.x
Maybe I can gain more ranks and just go straight to Jhen Mohran. >U<
Lou, I can help with online things. C:
If only PB and Jelly wasn't so lazy and "busy" with Brawling... O^O
</wii>
PB is giving me crap for playing Monster Hunter instead of Halo Reach. What an ass.
I made sure you played that night and so did I. I never said I was going to play it again though.
And yet you two still remain friends.
If that is the case stop bothering me every time you guys go on to play Halo. It gets annoying having people beg you to play something then trash you later about it. Sometimes your level of stupidity astounds me. -AC
I plan to kill him in his sleep. I need him close to do that.
If I kill you in a hotel I WOULD HAVE TO PICK UP THE TAB!!!!! I can't "Wil" Dave..
Nice try! I know you, if I am in the same room as you then you will not have that much money on you because you would expect me to steal it. The card is useless because I don't have your pin, you are not dumb enough to make it 1234, that's something an idiot would put on his luggage.
And yet we NEVER win.... I blame RPM for that
See this is why I room with you, cause I'm not worried about anything you might do given that small, simple, aging brain of yours as obviously you forgot the fact that it can be used as a credit card. A REAL Ninja would be able to forge my signature, but clearly I don't have ANYTHING to worry about when it comes to your Ninja skills. It's like Superman worrying about Aquaman with a bomb strapped to his chest.
I blame you. Obviously you're the weak link here.
Worried about cameras and computers? Like I said, WORST. NINJA. EVER.
I'm more interested in this Ninja restaurant myself. XD
I was reading how this town will have a total Japanese feel to it. The only thing is now that I have been using a 2nd analog stick I don't want to go back to the PSP and its one analog. I wish there was a way fully customize the buttons. I would have L and R rotate the camera. I would use the left and right on the D pad to move my menu items and press down on the D pad to use one. That way I can assign the R1 button to the Square button.

Am I the only one of RPM that found the Gobul ridiculously easy? o~O
The gameplay during a Quest is similar to Patapon, although it does not use rhythmic-based button inputs. The Felyne party is not controlled directly. Instead they are given three types of commands via the SQUARE, TRIANGLE, or CIRCLE buttons. The "Forward Arrow" will command them to move forward. The "Stay Arrow" will cause them to either burrow or stay put. And a third specialized command; for example "Rest", "Attack", "Bomb", "Flute", etc can be chosen. Based on the commands you choose, various events will occur. Choosing the right commands will progress the party to the end of the quest. So it is kinda Pikmin-esque?

WARNING SCREEN when something unexpected happens after you finish a quest.
For those who can actually find them in (well-hidden) stores, the XLink Kai adapters that you connect to the USB-port should work for anyone who wants to play PSP games online. (http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/) Yes, including the games that only use Ad Hoc. This also works for Gamecube and PS2 as well. There are Mac drivers to install too. ^^
Oh wait, Amazon has it. (http://www.amazon.com/PLANEX-Wireless-Mini-Adapter-GW-US54Mini2W/dp/B000KN8QMQ/) Someone should help me get one too >U<
Females usually have better armor, but in the case of Tri I think alot of the male armor looked better.
Save imports have been confirmed. You (probably) won't get your character from Unite into the game, but Play Time, Quests completed, and felyne armor will be unlocked along with a couple of other small things.
I've been playing this game the last couple of days. Imported my save file so I have the bonus MHP2G content and re-created my old character.
Anyone else got it yet? All the improvements make it an extremely fun game over Unite.
flagjp Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (PSP) <3
Make videos!
So, do any eurpoeans here still play MHTri?I have the PAL Tri, but have not played in a long while unfortunately. I'm not very far in, nor very good at it (just after Qurupeco).
How's the axe? Does it handle just as well as the one in Tri?
Were there any major differences?
Yeah. Pennsylvania, USA.
Sucks to be cut off from my PAL buddies. Nevertheless, it still beats the hell out of Nintendo's online setup.
Online with a group of friends is fun as hell.
I'm serious.
(http://lol.rockmanpm.com/1296783462080.jpg) (http://lol.rockmanpm.com/1296783462080.jpg)
Much agreed. I pretty much just go to single-player to beef up my item inventory/money. Online is a blast.
Speaking of which, Lou, you and I need to arrange a time to hook up, so I can at least register ya.
I'm starting to go back to Monster Hunter Tri after many months due to schoolwork and other video games I wish to complete.
First off I'm looking for some better armor than my Rathian Armor+ Set and I planning on adding the Handiwork, Evade, and Earplug skills on a better armor set unless you guys have something far more better for skills for a Longsword user like myself... (How I miss Dual Swords...)
Care to give me some suggestions or advice? Some of the people over at GameFAQs can be a bunch of jerks sometimes... :|
I am off Wed we can try then? After 6 or 7pm? I just have to remember to show up now that I posted this.Mrs. Shell claims the TV at 8 on Wed, so that's a fairly narrow window (you're Eastern U.S. too, right?). Nevertheless, I'll be there.
ALRIGHTYeah, this might actually get me to give MH3 a shot.
PS3 HUNTERS
NOW WE CAN PLAY TOGETHER
http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2011/05/22/monster_hunter_ps3/
I play "Monster Hunter 3: Tri" whenever I can.
I'm a Lance & Sheild type Hunter.
My MH Rank, only 8.
- 3DS exclusive Enhanced Port of Tri for Wii
- Due out before the end of the year in Japan, 3G will be fully playable at the Tokyo Game Show in a couple weeks
- "the new portside area we've made for the game was created with an eye for 3D visuals -- giving it more depth, placing objects on top of each other, and other concepts to make the 3D more prevalent."
- "The bottom screen will have a panel with assorted useful functions for hunting; you'll be able to tap on things to use it"
- There is also, of course, the slide-pad attachment, which Tsujimoto called a "secret weapon" crafted so players could play 3G with the same control feel as the original Tri.
- As for weapons; "There will be 12 types," Fujioka said, "filling out the set of genres we've introduced up to this point. All of the weapons will be operable in the underwater areas, too.
- 3G's marquee monster is Blakydios, a Brute Wyvern-type -- member of the ponderous land-dragon race that first made its debut in Tri.
- There is also, of course, the slide-pad attachment, which Tsujimoto called a "secret weapon" crafted so players could play 3G with the same control feel as the original Tri.:\ Am I the only one who played Tri with the remote/nunchuck and liked it? I'm just wondering how freakish it is that I don't consider the Classic Controller Pro to be the be-all-end-all of a game like Monster Hunter.
I think I read somewhere that if you get both versions you can transfer your save data between the 2 to continue your game elsewhere.

That's what everyone wanted since the Wii version, I remember having to make 3 accounts, one for each region. XD

Nomura designed this. The weapon looks like a mutated version of Way to the Dawn.
