It's strange, really. Though, I think they eat them to keep them running, so rectonning my thoughts, I think they also used for trade, I remember the fatty asking for E-Crystals so he can give something in return.
Still, it's a good (yet odd), point.

And that brings yet another propoganda, I remember when they were ran by oil or some other substance (and elves never existed) in the X series, not thier own food.
Now, this "currency" is also used to feed what would become "reploid souls" in the ZX series? madness. Unless, Cyber Elves are kinda treated like helpful spirits anyway..

He answers your question to this oddity Buffalo Bill, since combat robots mostly kill eachother.. and that's what the Z series is filled with, COMBAT ROBOTS.

But where does it all end? They trade it, they eat it, they die, the crystals get pulled out of their corpse or whatever, and they get recycled. Or am I thinking of this the wrong way?

I think the currency aspect came into effect sometime after the ZX series began, since reploids can now eat human food to replenish their energy.

I don't think ECs are used as currency anywhere other than in ZX, where there is no energy crisis anymore, so they can use power plants as pennies if they wanted.

Poop is not energy that's convertible, unless you're a fish or bacteria.
Besides, you misunderstand what the games show us. E-crystals are never recovered from Repliroids, only from Mechaniloids. And those mechaniloids had not yet used up that energy. It's more like the backup storage that you recover from their corpse.

So, like, they really eat them? Or do you think that they open up their built in refrigerator and store the energy crystals inside? Maybe the crystal on so many Reploids's foreheads could tell us more about this whole case hmm? The shinier it brights the more power the Reploid receives, just guessing?
I don't think that Reploids eat or do poo poo, they just melt the crystals in my opinion.

From what I recall, the only part about "equality" considering Repliroids is that they have finite lifespans like human beings. Then again, ZX has interracial couples with kids, so who knows. Anything's possible with SCIENCE.

Also, I believe Inti is being quite clear when they say humans can be given complete machine bodies.
To the point that with a copy chip equipped livemetal they can transform into a robotic rodent smaller than themselves.
So the Repliroid body is capable of everything the human body is capable of.

I never really liked X8's system Its too easy. You just start from the point you died, or a halfway point... whats the point then? it makes [parasitic bomb] too easy. And why do they go to the continue screen instead of just regenerating? its stupid.

well X7 was "3D" so continuing might have been broken due to increased memory usage
or the fact that they might not have even CARED about X7

Play the Japanese version.
Really, Zero isn't 'too strictly scripted', he just had an emotionless voice actor. Script-wise you can even see him cracking jokes with the likes of Ride Boarski.
But I guess people just don't get the stuff about Road Attackers, Road Riders and Crash Roadsters.

Reploid sex actually.The guy Reploids have super-advanced interactive dildos and the girl Reploids have a,well,you know.They would have been designed to replicate human function{otherwise why would Zero and Iris be dating?Hormones would be pointless without PINGAS!}
As for those energy crystals,they are edible,but junk food{or the guy who wants them has an eating disorder}.Reploids probably can eat human food for recreational purposes as well as a boost in energy
