I bought Dream Eater ages ago. Got Incinerate, too. I think I got a few TMs earlier, but I forget which ones.

If you are gonna prioritize, though, then besides what Sakura said, Swagger can also be handy against a Special Attacker. It's actually banned in competitive play now because it's so easy to abuse if you really want to.

For non-TM items, the two big ones are Assault Vest as Sakura said, and also Weakness Policy. Weakness Policy is one-time use, but it can be DAMN EVIL in versus. I especially love using it with Mewtwo, it puts his Y Mega Stone to shame.

Air Balloon is only marginally useful because your opponent will be alerted when a 'man is holding it.

Absorb Bulb/Cell Battery do NOT stack with abilities that prevent damage. So my bright idea for Water Absorb/Absorb Bulb Lapras was a no-go, don't even bother.

It happened again.

I'm using my Zapdos, who is carrying the Tropius Pokerus strain. I don't know why the infection didn't take. Prof. Hypno had the Pokerus status, and I battled with him while he had the status and I saved multiple times. He's not recovered, either, and I'll go infect him a third time.

It's X and it's whatever latest version updated. I restarted the game and he's still infected, so I think that Gallade strain is weird. My Tropius strain works, usually.

I'm tempted to re-infect the Gallade and see what happens. Though, I swear I've used him to infect others before without this problem. I'm blaming Prof's shiny immune system.

If Prof recovers tomorrow and I see that little status symbol, then I'll know it took. If not, then I'll try again with my Tropius so he gets the infection direct from Patient Zero.

And if it still doesn't take, then I don't know what's going on.

Here's what happens for those playing the home game:

I withdraw my Galagladi (Gallade) from the PC and put him in front, with Prof right beside him. I go out and battle with Galagladi. After each battle, I check Prof's status to see if he's infected.

Once he's infected, I go back to the PokeCenter and heal the party. Galagladi goes back in the PC.

I double-check Prof's status and save.

The next day, when I play, I checked Prof's status and the Pokerus status is gone, but the recovery symbol isn't there. And since I've been able to infect him three times, then obviously the infection status isn't being held.

This time, I used my Zapdos carrier. My Zapdos has a strain from my Tropius, which is the strain I usually use. I again infect Prof, saved multiple times, and decided to test a theory by restarting the game.

The infection is still there. However, there are additional factors at play; one being the internal clock. I'll only be sure if the infection took by checking tomorrow.

Another option is to box Prof for the night.

I just turned off my 3DS, so I'll power it back up and box Prof.

This way, I can check his status as well.

QuickEdit: Prof boxed, and my Houndoom, Sheila, is also infected. I didn't even notice until I boxed Prof.

I guess he and Sheila did some of their own Super Training...

Okay, checked Sheila and she's recovered, so that infection took without a problem. I also got Prof out of the box and he still has an active infection. I'll let him recover and check again tomorrow.

Methinks the infection will take this time, because I used my Tropius strain.

Okay, I'm gonna test the hacked theory by infecting a different Pokemon with the Gallade strain and see what happens. In the meantime, checking Prof's status...

Okay, earlier I was doing some Wonder Trade Drowzee adoptions and went to send out a Drowzee. The connection cut out before the trade was made, which has happened to me a few times. So, I went to trade it again.

In the Drowzee's place was a Duskull.

Either the trade somehow went through or the connection error killed my Drowzee.

Not helped by the fact that I got a Yamask for a Drowzee in the very next trade. ._.

Oh, and I got a Volbeat, sent it back, and got a Charizard in return and now I feel bad.
