Nothing wrong with badass shurikens, but I don´t think it fits with an angel.
It MIGHT look better if you move it away from his body tho, making it look like a floating halo instead of a weapon attached to his body. Or maybe just removing the two bottom "feathers" could work out too, and increase the size a bit of the other ones to keep the divine-ish feel.
Aside from that, I really like the overall character design and the animations look really sweet.

It´s just my opinion. You should only consider changing it if there are a lot more people agreeing with my crit. I mean, I´m sure it isn´t THAT easy to make those building, especially if you´re not used on making them, since you have to nail it with the style of the original buildings too.

That RM sprite is really awesome indeed. As for the hotel, I would suggest you get rid of the symmetry and make something a bit cooler, it looks a bit dull design-wise right now.

Yeah, I agree. It looks more like a bigass shuriken on his back and less like wings right now.

Maybe you have some screenshots of the progress? It's OK if you don't have any. Just curious.I don´t have anything right now unfortunately. I started drawing digitally almost a month ago, I thought it would be to soon to start making tutorials . And I actually got rid of the pdf´s too, I should start keeping them from now on just in case. I´ll try to make something for the next drawing I get to do, I promise.

Well, I only know one way of coloring so far. What I always do is make the sketch and start erasing and shaping up the lines. Or some other times I just remake the lines again completely over the sketch in a separate layers.
After I´m pretty much happy with the lineart, I set the layer style to multiply and if I want the lineart to have a darker tone of the base color, I go to Image>Adjudgement>Levels (I use Photoshop). And at the output level bar I move the left pointer to the right, this removes the pure blacks.
And for coloring, I just set a base color on a layer below the lineart, and with a hard edged brush I start setting up the shading. After that, with the eyedropper I choose the color inbetween both, chance it to a slightly saturated color to give it some life and the then blend the colors with a slightly softer brush.
If you use a mouse, the best method to blend colors would be to set the opacity of the brush to around 20-30 and then pick the inbetween color and click like crazy.
Kinda long and unorganized post, if there´s anything specific you (or anyone) wants to ask, just ask away. I´ll try to be as helpful as I can.
Also, here´re some tutorials I always found REALLY helpful:
http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/art_tut.htm (and since we are at it, here there is a link with some megaman fanart by the same guy http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/main.php?id=megaman)
And this one, which explains a lo better the lineart part: http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=109491

« on: March 21, 2010, 07:17:57 AM »I do like the General Grie--Blademan! (dunno, looks like Grievous to me)I wanted to give it a bit of a skeleton feel to Blademan, so I´m not surprised that it reminds you of Grievous . I didn´t had him in mind when drawing Blade tho, I was actually slightly inspired by Ariga´s Skullman design.
What about ''Enerhog the Swinedoroid'' ?
As for the names, I was never too fond with the naming style of the ZX series, and Energy Hog sounds more fitting to the X series, and not so much for the Zero series. But yeah, I suck a lot at giving names too, just look at my nickname! I still have a whole group of mavericks waiting for some name, I´ll surely post the sheet I have with all the handmade concept sketches. Thanks for the name suggestions anyway.
And thanks everyone for the comments too, really appreciated.

Hello folks!
I´m sort of a new user that have been lurking the site for quite some time and just decided to jump off the shadow.
I´m gonna start by posting all the entries I could make for those weekly contests held over at Capcom Unity. The Solarman one is just a sketch, I could never get around to start working on it, and it´ll surely gonna stay that way unless I feel like finishing it.

I also have this attempt to make a so-far-nameless MMZ/ZX-ish boss, which I might redo later on because there´s something I don´t like from it.
And just for the heck of it, here´s a drawing I already posted at the oekaki boards.
EDIT: Added some doodles that no one should care about

That´ll be it for now, looking forward to your comments

Megaman has either six fingers or no thumbs in that drawing, you should fix that before you start with the shading.
