Investor Who Lost Big to Madoff Kills Himself

I feel sorry for everyone in New York involved in this. I saw this on the news a while ago...

History does tend to repeat itself.

And some incoming 'financial leaders' don't look too promising, either.

i don't feel the least bit sorry for anyone who's weak enough of a soul to commit suicide. especially in this case. like that one guy said, "It's just money."

i do feel sorry for the man's wife, though. and my sympathies also go out to anyone who got conned out of their money by Madoff. that man is pure evil through and through.

Mark Twain said it better:

I was going to quote mark twain myself, but I forgot what it was I was going to quote.
in any case, I feel sorry for his family. Suicide is for quitters. and quitters never win. anyone who commits suicide IMO, is selfish, as they dont seem to notice the harm they cause to their families and friends. though they are to be pitied somewhat, as under any normal circumstances, they migt never even dream of doing such a thing, but conditions have pushed them over the edge...

Hm.

unfortunately, the world runs on money. money is what makes the world go round. No matter how you slice it, this world will ALWAYS be controlled by money. And those who don't have it, suffer. its not a pretty thing to say, but its the sad truth.

mental instability is enough of an excuse for me.
the human mind IS such a fragile thing...

what, mental instability? its not the persons fault if pressure makes them crack. sometimes pressure can be VERY overbearing to the point of breakage. actually, I myself once almost snapped. >.>;; scares me to think it almost happened, but it almost did...

its not the persons fault if pressure makes them crack.

yes it is. if they can't take the heat, they're obviously not dealing with the pressure appropriately. they have to learn to relax, blow some steam, get their mind off what's troubling them. there are many ways to do that, ranging from taking a nap to smoking pot. even having just a little bit of hope is all it takes. look at what it did for the White House.

not everybody can deal with pressure appropriately though, and its not always their fault. plus, no matter what, there will always be  a level of stress that can crack anyone. but, I guess its all personal opinion honestly...  all the mumbo jumbo we just discussed... everyones got their own opinion on the subject. wouldnt you agree? :P

it IS their fault. i'm tired of saying it. they're the ones that hit the panic button. they're the ones that made the decision to give up and let it consume them. it's a subconscious decision, but it's still their fault. biological fact.

look, i've cracked under pressure before. a few times, even. but i got over it. i waited it out. i let it blow over. stress does not last forever.

and going back to my original point, suicide is a permenant solution to a temporary problem. namely, stress is such a temporary problem. and you know what, this scandal is temporary too. you can get your money back in this case. you just have to give it time and pray for the best.
